Who the FUCK forcing out managers on the verge of playoff places in favour of this shit?

People with way too much influence and their own priorities.

Anyone know where AllRoverAsia gone, he used to be our regular contributor from downtown Bangkok ?

I used to enjoy Arbitro’s post match reviews as thought he was the most genuine of supporters and called it plainly, good or bad. Might have just missed them recently but worried that even Arbitro has had his enthusiasm driven out of him. Hopefully, he will be back on with his thoughts on the Ipswich debacle later tonight or tomorrow as he is a great barometer as to how, even the most loyal, are feeling.

I think Tony has had enough.

Just posting on here, as I think he still goes to the games, probably somewhat reluctantly.

A match thrown away - we were poor, but without yet more inept refereeing we may have got a result. It shows how poor the Championship is, that Ipswich could get automatic promotion - as they were no great shakes.

Would we have got a result?? Despite the extremely poor ref we didn’t muster a shot on target. Can’t blame the ref for that. Fact is Ismail needs to go, no clue, tactics are utter w**k and he can’t keep blaming the refs

Give over. Without Toth it could have been 5.

Ifvwe had even got the penalty we may have missed it (see Hull) and then wouldn’t have had another shot on target. We were never getting anything from that after 15 mins.

I think you can blame ref for not giving a clear push on Ohashi, or a clear elbow in Cantwells face.

That isnt to take blame off Ismail.

And a penalty for them, or are you ignoring that?

I feared that was the case and that just about says it all, Venkys Out.

We wouldnt have got a result with alternative decisions. If you finish a game with 0 shots on target then its just deflection to suggest that a potential penalty at 2 nil down was a major decision.

Strange how Ismael didnt mention the more blatant stonewall penalty and probable red card with Cashin.

True as well but it is sliding doors, had we converted the penalty and they were down to ten, quite possible that specific incident doesn’t happen.

Definitely not a red as it was a genuine attempt for the ball. Double jeopardy and all that nowadays.

I do blame the ref it was a penalty but that was 5 seconds of a 96 minute game! If you can’t get a shot on target for 95.55 minutes then you deserve to lose and there’s no one to blame other than Val and the 14 players that put the Rovers shirt on today. I’d get sacked from my job if I performed as poorly as these players have recently yet they walk home with 1000’s a week 😡

Having your cake and eating it a bit there there.

If he gives the penalty then the play changes and the elbow doesn’t happen. You can’t say event 1 happens, event 2 still happens but event 3 doesn’t.

I’m not saying that, for my money Furlong was the last defender and could have gone for the penalty incident. He could very easily have received 2 red cards in that game and yet left the pitch, without even a yellow to his name.

Ah. Ok, fair point.

That wasnt t what @DavidMailsTightPerm meant but in your case you are correct.

They are also both past it and been to the well too many times now plus both would cost way more than these lot would ever pay.

I don't think they are.  It's about getting the best out of what you have - experts in the field.  Managing people is more than stats and formations  It's a subtle blend that they both (Warnock/Allardyce) are exceptionally good at. We'd be lucky to have either.

Don't think the Hull example really holds water

As I said.

But if he gives penalty, that player is potentially sent off (not certain of where league are with double jeopardy these days).

I think you totally miss my point though - just saying as crap as we were we could have got a result (no matter deserved or not). My point was mainly how crap the Championship is that Ipswich are in the top 6.

It was a penalty and a red card, if it went to var, that would be the outcome.
