MCMC1875
Here´s a tale for all you Hughes fans. Attending a medical in his playing days, he was asked ´When did you break your ankle Mark?'. Reply 'I didn't know it had been broken'. Softly spoken but 'ard as nails!

den
A workmate of Baz, has said he has had a text from rovers, to say that Mark Hughes has been appointed Manager. It might be a wind-up, don't know.
Bazzathegreat
Just a suggestion but if rovers are to appoint Sparkey as manager and if he is to continue in the wales post aswell, then how about someone to help him out i.e Mike newall as his Number 2, or Bobby Robsen in an advisory role

MCMC1875
Anybody but Robson - judging by the howlers attributed to him in last Fri's LET, he's well past senile.

Hughesy
Do you think that if Rovers approached Wales that they would keep it quiet if asked too or do you think they would just tell everyone that he is in talks with us? So far they are denying any contact has been made
Ewood Spark
The only downer I have on a Hughes appointment is that if he is a success you can't help think that United would take an interest.

That's fine by me. At least we will get the success for a while.
JonnyH
The only downer I have on a Hughes appointment is that if he is a success you can't help think that United would take an interest. That will always happen with a club like Rovers. One step at a time.
den
Maybe we're all getting a bit sidelined with this mark Hughes business. the LET did say that the people the board had wanted to apply, had. Then it went on to say that Strachan had applied.

1864roverite
andy gray my ar££, someones making mischief, I have phoned my mate and he knows NOTHING about this rumour at SKY and he is there at the moment assisting in tonights productions of the soccer am show ! In respect of Wales, I think they would announce it from the Valleys and the hills in glorious base !
bellamy11
I have phoned my mate and he knows NOTHING about this rumour at SKY That settles it then! Whilst I like Gray, he doesn't have the experience that I'd want in our next manager. His job at Sky is safe - he doesn't need to take a risk on failing as a manager now.
