  1. Some weird contradictions here, it's the owners fault, the players aren't good enough, but the manager should be doing better. Which is it? All I can see is that the owners cut us off and since then we've unsurprisingly declined. This won't magically won't go away if the head coach, DOF or new bargain basement signings arrive (probably Waggott too). I'm not going to apologise if that offends anyone's beliefs as it's pretty obvious. 13 years of dross and counting. Only one constant.
  2. Just weird really, we were playing well at the time and 1-0 up. Carter gets injured, then there's a like for like replacement and the entire team reacted like they were in mourning. Does Scott Wharton have BO or something? Five minutes later we do concede a goal.
  3. If he is getting a free ride it's probably because he led us to our best league finish since the fuckwits took over. Then the injuries blah blah blah, owners blah blah blah, lack of money blah blah blah and poor recruitment blah blah blah came along. Though it's arguable that he's not getting a free ride at all seeing as it seems most fans want him sacked.
  4. Some positives are that Pears was an upgrade on Wahlstad. Adam Wharton played well, nicked the ball off the defender and took his goal well. JRC looked decent when he came on but unfit, how we've missed him emerging from his defence to give their defenders something to think about. Hyam was better today too. We're still playing without a proper striker. The one masquerading as one put in the least amount of effort to defend. The tallest man on the pitch made himself the smallest at the most crucial of moments and it's 1-1. Then he was downed in the box, a certain penalty, but the referee waved it away. Two defenders down injured. The one to Carter seemed to really affect us, which was bizarre as we rightly didn't change shape or tactics. Heads seemed to drop simply because Carter got injured.
  5. Not entirely, it's a patched up cobbled together team. Imbalanced when Mowbray was here, now it's something only a bunch of stubborn twats who aren't interested in football could come up with.
  6. Pickering's hamstring's gone. Two defenders down in one game.
  7. Gallagher was never going to get to the ball but their player clearly took him down in the box.
  8. Great goal by Adam Wharton, well read and good finish 17 minutes in, injury to Carter, S Wharton on which seems to somehow take the energy out of all of our players. Then they score 1-1. Gallagher barely gets off the ground to allow them to head in. Shit referee'ing moment, we should have had a penalty. Movement is disappointing. Chrisene hasn’t had a terrible game so far but he needs to pass it forward more. His instinct seems to be to pass it backwards, or linger too long on the ball. He's slowing down play on that side. The lack of players wanting to have a shot is killing us too. How many times do we get in a decent shooting position only to pass it?
  9. A clear foul on Garrett, a clear foul on Gallagher. Tronstad fouls once and gets carded. Fucking imbecile referee. A foul on SS, nothing.
  10. Telling Gallagher to jump would be a start.
  11. And if he goes we can focus our anger on the real villains.
  12. Still doesn't make his Championship tally great. Right now I'd like him here, I just wish we were aiming higher. Fucking ridiculous we're aiming a lot lower.
  13. That's why I said "not great". I think Gallagher scored that many on loan but his max since then iirc is 8. And I can't be bothered looking it up.
  14. When he was last in the Championship he scored 12 goals and I think played in all or most games. So not great at this level, but a lot better than what we seem to be aiming for. And to think we signed Wahlsted with that kind of money.
  15. It's by design. The players we need aren't part of the Venkers remit. Surrounded by yes men and shielded from those who aren't. That's why Holloway and Warnock never came here.
  16. He wasn’t any good at his peak. If we were just looking at him for cover I’d be disappointed, and let’s face it if he signs he’s the main striker.
  17. It also means the opposition managers wouldn't let their teams be quite so cavalier knowing we have a goal threat, but currently they know we have no strikers. Keep Szmodics quiet and they'll score more than us.
  18. Sigurdsson passes it to an invisible man whilst JRC, Pickering, Szmodics and Gallagher are further forward. Opposition gets it. A Wharton jogs over but opposition pass to one of their midfielders before he can get there. A pass later it's with one of their forwards. Carter, Hyam and S Wharton under pressure, they all back off/get in each others way/do nothing. Pears starts doing the YMCA as a piss weak shot rolls past him. GOAL!!!!
  19. No chance those players are going to become so much harder to beat. You sack JDT and ask Warnock to take over tomorrow. The first thing he'd want is to sign an experienced CB, an experienced CM and a big striker. They'd say no, he'd say thank you kindly and fuck off, whilst thinking "what a bunch of fuckwits."
  20. We saw some of them were capable of playing that way before JDT came along, not just the defenders but the other players helping out with defensive duties. Perhaps shite is a strong word, mediocre I'd say. But it's also injuries, squad depth, relying on young players, and I think with Hyam a lack of fitness. Along with the afforementioned ability for all parties to be, indeed, shite. The keeper is a big part of it though. It can't be very encouraging knowing before a ball is kicked you're already 2-0 down. Another part of the equation is knowing the club has absolutely no ambition and the people at the top couldn't care less. What a motivator that must be.
  21. I don't seriously believe we would appoint him, or he'd come here. It was in response to having Mourinho as boss. If we were a normal club we'd be trying to attract these managers.
