  1. Part of the problem is that Travis is having an especially poor game.
  2. It gives every team a reason to come at us every match. Easy to commit players against a team without a centre forward.
  3. Sounds like you're making an excuse for the shitty recruitment that's forcing us to play him.
  4. Poor passing play from the off, I'm not expecting much from this. Why didn't Dolan hit that excellent cross on the volley? I suppose that's the difference between a CF and a winger.
  5. As he sais, Dolan plays better wide. I prefer him to the current Brereton we have in that position. We were playing better as a team when Brereton was out. Thomas didn't play well either, but with him on the opposite wing instead of Hedges I think we offer more threat.
  6. Right at the moment it happened that’s what I said. He pushed it towards goal with his hand and then ran with it taking out Pears in the process. He didn’t handball it into the net but he did use his hand to control it. He saw an opportunity and took it. Also I’ve seen goals disallowed for far less on the goalie. I don’t want to see Brereton in a Rovers shirt again for that offside prior to it, combined with standing there doing absolute nothing for their corner.
  7. They don’t get it. The option is JDT, who they aren’t happy with but they freely admit he’s not been backed and with O’Brien and a striker we’d be assured of a play off place. The only manager to have us in the play offs all season, since we went down. Or option 2, not fussed about him staying. He goes and next season we have Gregg Broughton bringing in the managerial equivalent of George Hirst.
  8. Yes stuck on the wrong side and also having a player in front of him doing the absolute minimum won't have instilled him with confidence.
  9. Every bit of footage out there seems to have been filmed with a potato but on a couple of angles if you go frame by frame he clearly sticks his right arm out and knocks it towards the goal, before he finishes it off my flattening Pears.
  10. I thought he handled it then bundled it over, fouling Pears in the process, but I've only seen it once.
  11. I just see it that Gallagher went off and there was a choice of Dolan who isn't even a CF or an under 21. Waggott should be ashamed. Two seasons in a row now where we didn't bring in an attacking option in January when in a good position. And it's not just a CF. Pickering is injured and we have no natural replacement for him apart from Edun. Buckley gets injured and we either have a choice of three under 21s to replace him. I'm not sure if there's a manager out there who could work under these clowns.
  12. Probably the beach somewhere nice and hot, if he's got any sense.
  13. I just find it weird that you'd lay the blame all on the manager and players when behind the scenes it's a shambles. Especially after Mowbray and his bizarre allergy to centre forwards in his final twelve months. It was always going to come to a head because we've been struggling for goals all season and getting away with it when we needed to. Last year gave me everything I needed to know about our attacking options and whether they were up to a play off push.
  14. Because they were bringing in a centre forward, screwed it up and by that time they'd already let Markanday go. O'Brien and that young lad from Rochdale weren't the only f*** ups.
  15. Oh he's gone in the Summer, no doubt. To be replaced by the next Owen Coyle style appointment.
  16. Weird take when we have -2 GD, the manager asked for a striker and didn't get one, and admin screwed up the O Brien transfer. Not speculation but documented fact. Over the entire season our GD has been poor compared to the others at the top so it was always going to be an issue if it came to battling for a play off place.
  17. Both have better goal difference than us, especially Luton. Millwall are as inconsistent as Rovers.
  18. With the current squad we have some very inconsistent players capable of playing well now and again, combined with some decent players, kids still learning their trade, some awful players and a top scorer who is sleepwalking his way through every game. What sets us apart from other teams at the top is scoring goals and after the lack of investment over the last two or three years it's hardly surprising.
  19. It's a reason why we don't score so many goals though. We haven't signed a striker since Summer 2019.
  20. This is true, most people including myself thought we'd get beat by more than one goal tonight. Instead it took a cheating goalkeeper and inept officials to rob us of two points.
  21. Lost it in the debacle that was the January transfer window, we all knew it but we all thought there was a chance. Our inability to score goals was always going to bite us on the arse eventually.
