  1. It had better be. It's a home game which I would have attended using my season ticket (pass) had there been no covid.
  2. What a brilliant post. It says everything I want to say. It covers the whole problem at Rovers and not just which players are poor or how bad the manager is or how crap the backroom staff are etc. etc. Well said M1st. Your first and last sentences are so true. Where can we possibly go from here?
  3. During his self isolation he sat for too long on the sofa and put his back out according to TM?
  4. I see Blackpool are drawn away to Eastbourne. Now that game could be classed as the Notarianni Ice Cream Derby. We always eat Notarianni's ices in Waterloo Rd., Blackpool. They are delicious. When we visited Eastbourne for the one and only time in our lives we found a Notarianni's. The family came over from Italy in the late 1920s. One set up his ice cream business in Blackpool and the other in Eastbourne. Both businesses still going strong.
  5. No. We have to keep Pears in goal. It wouldn't be fair to drop him after one game. Nyambe must start. Also like to see JRC start as well.
  6. Spot on, Matt. Well predicted. We all should have known what the outcome was to be.
  7. The 4 year deal what hurts. Who gave him that? How come it was Mowbray's choice for 4 years? Surely the owners or their representative gives out the contracts and not the mere manager.
  8. Good game of football. Rovers were good but Reading were excellent. On that performance Reading will walk this league. Top 6 to aim for now.
  9. I don't think he'll back in the 1st team squad until 2021.
  10. No commentary for me either. First time I've experienced that. I could hear the shouts of players and staff. I got used to it. It didn't stop me screaming at certain Rovers players though. ?
  11. If you want automatic promotion you should aim to lose no more than 8 games in the season. We have played 6 and already lost 3. So only play-off places to play for and that will be a struggle. Now, with our current fit players, what is our strongest 11? Nyambe has lost whatever confidence he had and seems to be going backwards (like his incessant passes from the halfway line). Lenihan cannot play left of centre. Neither can Ayala. And Ayala is injured. So my back 4 would be JRC, Lenihan, Williams, Douglas. Midfield 3 of Holtby, Trybull, Rothwell Attacking 3 Elliott, Brereton, Armstrong Bench to be Johnson, Buckley, Dolan, Chapman, Wharton, Nyambe, Pears.
  12. That gives us chance to have the Irish partnership back, Lenihan and Williams. Put JRC at RB and Douglas at LB and we may just have the makings of a good defence.
  13. Such as what? Absolutely no penetration in attack and a very unreliable defence. I'm not convinced about Ayalla and Lenihan together. Rather have Williams. Nyambe hasn't a clue about football when it comes to forward passing. We play pretty, pretty football, keeping possession but with no end product. I've not been as disappointed about a Rovers result and performance as tonight. It was dire.
  14. We are simply not good enough if Watford are a top six side. We cannot defend. We are oh so slow on the counter attack. Generally poor. Lenihan had a bad game. My first choice of CB would be Williams with either Lenihan who plays well with him or Ayala. Nyambe is so frustrating. I can see why TM drops him. He gets to the halfway line and ALWAYS stops and passes back or sideways. JRC is better in that position. Elliott seemed to have a quiet game. Dolan is a one trick pony. He needs time in the under 23s. It is so frustrating watching Rovers because this squad is capable of playing better. Bell played extremely well and doesn't deserve to lose his place. My MOM......Holtby
  15. Looks like most are extremely unhappy at TM's selection. Everyone forecasting a loss. All doom and gloom. Watch Rovers put on a superb display and play Watford off the park. Not my prediction but it usually happens.
  16. 8/10 The word "multiple" threw me. I knew 1 or 2 semi-finals had been played here. Got the Accy one wrong, too.
  17. My thoughts exactly. Dolan and JRC play brilliantly together. Nyambe doesn't suit playing with Dolan. Watford to win this easily, unfortunately.
  18. Yes. Ameobi and the guy with a pink hat on looked far more dangerous than our lot.
  19. I thought Buckley was OK but his two partners in midfield were abysmal. Forest were well organised like Cardiff were but I thought that they were lucky for the whole of the game. They had the rub of the green. In the last 30 minutes I lost count of the times I shouted at my screen, "You jammy gits!". Even their goal was a jammy deflection. So annoying.
  20. I doubt it. The bridge will finish up sky blue as per Coventry and Manchester City.
