  1. Why not? That really is a stupid statement. If your hatred of "Dingles" is that bad, perhaps you hated Keith Newton, Kevin Hird and Mark Patterson who left us to play for them. More to the point John Connelly and Adam Blacklaw were "ex-dingles" who played brilliantly for us. I wish we had a keeper as good as Blacklaw was then. I'll endorse others views. I'd have Dyche ( or Paul Cooke for that matter) in a flash.
  2. I think Raya wanted to leave. Whether he was tapped up or not we don't know. Perhaps he decided that his career prospects were better at a small London club whose structure was sound and had ambition a-plenty. If a player wants to leave us we have to let him go and get the best deal we can for him. Can't expect someone who doesn't want to be here to put his heart and soul into playing for us.
  3. Well done Tony Mowbray. We wanted to see the youngsters and he let us see some. I was delighted to see how well we were playing towards the end. Glad to see Chapman has improved since I last saw him. The youngsters seemed to enjoy playing together and gave us a glimpse of what we can expect next season. Jack Vale looks good. Bring 'em on Tony. the future is bright with these lads.
  4. So it's all in Brentford's hands. Win their last two games and they're up automatically. Regardless of what happens, I predict Fulham to win the play-offs.
  5. So it's the same as Revie Plan. The video never mentions Revie. Another false nine I saw play, then, was Florian Albert for Hungary against Brazil at Goodison Park in 1966 who kept dropping deep to collect the ball and then terrorising the Brazil defence. So now I know.
  6. Sorry CLB but what the heck IS a false 9? I remember when Don Revie played as a "deep-lying centre forward" for Manchester City. It was called "The Revie Plan". Is that the same thing? And I can't stand the term, "playing in the hole". Is that this false 9 thing again? Even the cardboard cutouts not to attend? I really hope Tony plays a team of youngsters. But we all know he won't.
  7. Another superb podcast. So very interesting to listen to a referee talk about experiences in the game. I wish we had a lot more on radio and TV as well as the many ex-players. Also many thanks to Herbie for excellent questioning. Ever thought of taking over from Laura Kuenssberg? You'd do a far better job.
  8. Disappointment but one spark of hope....... JRC, Buckley, Davenport look good for next season. Let's hope TM gives the youngsters a good run out in our last two matches.
  9. And this is why a lot of us want Mowbray out.
  10. Shocking performance by Rovers so far. We are no threat to the Millwall goal whatsoever. Lazy sods.
  11. Bloody ifollow!!!!!!!!!!! Showing umpteen replays of a near miss and we miss a goal. A f..cking Millwall goal!!
  12. We never know the full story. Maybe Nyambe is carrying a slight injury and Tony doesn't want him to start. Who knows? At least Bennett is at RIGHT back.
  13. Come on Wigan. Stay up so we can stuff you twice next season.?
  14. I think it was the game where he missed a good scoring chance early on that Bradley Dack was co-commentator. Dack said that Ryan refuses to join in after training shooting practice. Can you imagine Brian Clough allowing that refusal? I'd by whispering in his ear that if he wants to continue being picked at full back he MUST join in shooting and crossing practice.
  15. When a young Garner came into the first team it was the first time in a long time I saw someone who would shoot as soon as he got the merest sniff of the goalposts and net. For many seasons up until then Rovers forwards would pass, pass, and pass again in and around the penalty area. At that time Simon was a breath of fresh air.
  16. What? I'd never post again.? See...........Mowbray has a lot to answer for. Shame on him.
  17. I think the whole ifollow is very poor. Don't get me wrong, I think the camera work and commentary is extremely good but too often I get thrown out. The Leeds match I missed from 15 minutes to 75 minutes. I tried to "chat" to them but got no response. The screen goes a blank grey with a triangle in the centre with a diagonal line through it. I sent an email to which they responded telling me to clear the cache and cookies which I did. Next game was ok, Cardiff away but today, WBA at home, same thing happened at 15 minutes. No response from the "chat with us". What a farce that is! I came out of the browser, went in again to Rovers site and managed to get the rest of the game ok. I certainly won't be paying for this poor quality of streaming in the future.
  18. WBA are the best team to visit Ewood this season. Better than Leeds and Brentford. They are going up, no problem.
  19. Mine was fine but it cut off at 15 minutes. I had to shut down and go into the rovers web site again, log on and got it back. If this and the Leeds game are examples of ifollow I wouldn't pay for it.
  20. What a good game to watch. They should have won it easily but we did well, rode our luck at times and could have won it ourselves. Poor Davenport should have chipped the keeper. I'm very pleased with Rovers performance.
  21. Got my stream back a few minutes later by closing the window and going again into the Rovers site. But it's so annoying when watching a game as good as this.
  22. anyone else having problems. My stream has stopped after 15 minutes.....AGAIN
