  1. And that is why we will go nowhere with this manager. Walton collided with Adarabioyo. He was "fouled" by his colleague. That's why the ref didn't give us a free kick.
  2. We have a fairly good squad when you consider the younger players. A decent manager would sort it all out and have us much better. I mean Bennett at left back.........again?????? Give me strength!!
  3. Common Raya and the Bees. Get the baggies stuffed.
  4. You would rather the club collapse just so you could say. " I told you so"?
  5. I'm no Venky lover but I do appreciate them keeping us afloat financially. If they pulled out we'd go the same way as Bury. I'm sure none of us would want that. The past is the past. Forget it and move on.
  6. I've just tried to watch highlights of the game on Rovers ifollow. It won't let me. Wants me to pay a subscription of £45. Very poor site is Rovers. Why can't they get their act together?
  7. I thought JRC played well. Walton could have done better with their goal. Bennett had a good game. In fact they all played well.
  8. My first time on ifollow . I thought that was great except for the first 15 minutes cock-up.?
  9. This is piss poor. I sorted it out an hour ago and now I can't get back in. Never done this before.
  10. If I could change only one result in MY time of watching Rovers it would be to reverse a scoreline. F.A.Cup final 1960. Wolves 0 Rovers 3. That was 60 years ago. Good heavens! But it would have given us an extra FA Cup win and extra trophy that would last for ever, even when people have forgotten Selhurst Park and the Chelsea semi-final. That season we had already beaten the cream of the first division; Spurs, Burnley and Sheff Wed. All we had to do was beat the fourth of the cream teams, But there was Derek Dougan and Dave Whelan's broken leg. Alas.......not to be.
  11. I was on the Riverside around the halfway line too. McNamee was our centre half and the crowd were willing him or shouting at him to shoot and he did; from just beyond the centre circle into the Darwen End goal. What a goal! Also my answer to who it was against would have been Bournemouth or Brighton. Memory is a strange thing.
  12. Rothwell seems to be the only player who can write proper. The others are pretending to be doctors.
  13. Agreed except Duff would be playing in front of Beglin and Reid in front of Kenna. And, was Given better than Alan Kelly?
  14. My dad turned 18 in 1920 so it would be a bit like me watching Rovers in 1961. Unfortunately I don't know much about which games he watched. He spoke mostly about the current times (for me) i.e. 1951 to 1965 when he died. I don't even know whether or not he went to the 1928 cup final. I doubt it. He did have a very good friend who was a professional footballer and played for the Rovers around 1929 and later Burnley. I wish I had questioned him more about players like Crompton, Latheron, Healless and Ted Harper.
  15. What a good game. Lovely football from both sides.
  16. It wouldn't cost that much to make the match day experience in the riverside a little better. Toilets, TVs and food & drink. Simples! I mean you can't buy a sausage roll now FFS.?
  17. If Waggot improved the match-day experience on the Riverside for supporters he might find more people going on. For example we've spoken about the toilet facilities which need upgrading as far as possible under the circumstances. Other matters are:- TV screens at the rear to show what the big screen shows all the time. Food and drink to improve and be reasonably priced. The rear fire escape exit to be re-instated and made available for normal exit as it used to be. If the fire escape is deemed to be unsafe, then they are contravening the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974. Possible hot air blowers to put some warmth into the top rear passage. Finally, sorry for hijacking the Bristol City match thread.
  18. It's time the club commanded respect for itself and its supporters. We are Blackburn Rovers. We will play in our home kit whenever we can, changing the shorts to blue if necessary. If we need a change, red and black (or navy) halves with red or black/navy shorts should be it. Our owners are multi-billionaires and we needn't rely on shirt sponsors to dictate to us. Our pride and integrity must rise above marketing desires. N.B. I use the term "halves" because everyone else does. I still refer to our shirts as "quarters". A shirt cannot be divided into four halves. ?
