  1. Oh, I believe you. Just saying.
  2. Really? I remember Ipswich and Norwich being Div 3 sides. Same as Brighton, Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Brentford, Millwall, Watford and Reading. I must be getting old.
  3. Dougie didn't play with Shearer?
  4. The programme editor cannot or will not re-organise the Rovers' "Honours" list to show the correct honours despite being notified of a mistake twice by me.
  5. Kit Napier 1972/74 53 appearances/ 6 goals. It's quite amazing how few games were played by players of yesteryear that we old-timers hold dear in our hearts.
  6. And he's been voted on this message board the greatest striker we've ever, ever had in the history of the club.
  7. If Leutwiler is going, then try Fisher for a game or two. Who is going to be our back-up keeper next year?
  8. Now that we are safe, does anyone else think Leutweiler should be given a run of games to see what he is all about?
  9. I hope that's true.
  10. Reed not in the squad. Injured? Or frozen out? If he's not injured I want Mowbray out.
  11. Yeah. Tony would say he cannot cross a ball and dribbles around too much for a winger.
  12. United totally outclassed by Barça. Never seen Utd so outplayed.
  13. And a steady Williams next to him. We all know that Williams is a very poor left back but as a centre back he's better than Mulgrew, Rodwell and Downing. I thought Bennett did better tonight. I think Nyambe picked up an injury on Saturday so was "rested" but on the bench just in case. Bell was our weakest player in the first half. But, in the second half and because we were playing well, he grew in confidence. Superb, high tempo for 90 minutes performance. I'm over the moon.
  14. Tony has said he will stick with the "experienced" players because we need the points to avoid (the possibility of) relegation. That means continuing with Evans, Smallwood, Bennett and Conway instead of blooding youngsters. These have gained him 4 points out of 33 so far. My prediction, therefore, is 0 points, dropping into the bottom 3 after defeat to Swansea on the last day.
  15. I thought someone said he bought her a Bentley Mark 2
  16. We are safe from relegation now. There are only 7 games left. Now is the time for Mowbray to be playing a host of youngsters from the kick off in every game. Get them ready for next season. Knowing TM he won't. And that is why I say get rid.
  17. Norwich City away. You read it here first.✊
  18. Smallwood is not the problem. Mowbray is.
  19. We want to see our youngsters starting games. When do we want it? NOW!!
  20. Is that a fact? Or are you presuming it doesn't?
  21. So would I. I really like Tony. Best thing that's happened to the Rovers for years. But..........his management skills are sadly lacking at present. And, what'smore really worrying, he doesn't seem to be learning from his mistakes. He thinks he is the bees' knees. A little humility and inward searching is what Tony needs.
  22. Guess who's bottom of the form league for the last 10 games. Was it the calendar year 1998 where we were top of the Prem at New Year, went on a very bad run to finish mid table, then Woy got sacked in November when we were bottom with only 4 points? This bad run could continue into next season.?
  23. Sheffield United. Miles ahead of anyone else.
  24. Scary thing will be, if she now doesn't, Jonno will have no chance.
  25. Everyone forgets the elephant in the room. Venkys. We are no-where near a normal run football club with these (still) clueless owners. I hate to think who would replace Tony if he were to leave us. Maybe it's better the devil you know. Don't want to jump out of the frying pan into the fire.
