  1. Mowbray reverts to type. This fella is taking us nowhere next season. So frustrating for us fans
  2. I'm glad it was City and not Rovers. I would have been devastated had that happened to us.
  3. I'm not grateful to them Stuart. But think where this club could be without them at the present moment. Forget the past. Think of now.
  4. We are better off than Bolton, Coventry, Charlton and many more, including Blackpool. I would have preferred a UAE conglomerate as owners but, in the meantime, I'll string along with Venkys.
  5. What is happening to Bolton and other clubs makes me thankful that we have Venkys as owners. They are mega rich. They seem to be decent, sincere people. They are still very naive with regard to football matters but they are funding us. I think we should accept them. I hate to think where we could be or would be if we lost them. (This is a serious post and not a wind-up).
  6. And a teenager got their winner. Take note Mr Mowbray.
  7. Ipswich were a nothing club until Alf Ramsay became their manager. He took them to greatness. Bobby Robson did the same for them. I quite like the tractor boys. But, every dog has its day; as we well know down here at Ewood. Nothing lasts.
  8. And play Bennett in goal, no doubt.
  9. Oh, I believe you. Just saying.
  10. Really? I remember Ipswich and Norwich being Div 3 sides. Same as Brighton, Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Brentford, Millwall, Watford and Reading. I must be getting old.
  11. Dougie didn't play with Shearer?
  12. The programme editor cannot or will not re-organise the Rovers' "Honours" list to show the correct honours despite being notified of a mistake twice by me.
  13. Kit Napier 1972/74 53 appearances/ 6 goals. It's quite amazing how few games were played by players of yesteryear that we old-timers hold dear in our hearts.
  14. And he's been voted on this message board the greatest striker we've ever, ever had in the history of the club.
  15. If Leutwiler is going, then try Fisher for a game or two. Who is going to be our back-up keeper next year?
  16. Now that we are safe, does anyone else think Leutweiler should be given a run of games to see what he is all about?
  17. I hope that's true.
  18. Reed not in the squad. Injured? Or frozen out? If he's not injured I want Mowbray out.
  19. Yeah. Tony would say he cannot cross a ball and dribbles around too much for a winger.
  20. United totally outclassed by Barça. Never seen Utd so outplayed.
  21. And a steady Williams next to him. We all know that Williams is a very poor left back but as a centre back he's better than Mulgrew, Rodwell and Downing. I thought Bennett did better tonight. I think Nyambe picked up an injury on Saturday so was "rested" but on the bench just in case. Bell was our weakest player in the first half. But, in the second half and because we were playing well, he grew in confidence. Superb, high tempo for 90 minutes performance. I'm over the moon.
  22. Tony has said he will stick with the "experienced" players because we need the points to avoid (the possibility of) relegation. That means continuing with Evans, Smallwood, Bennett and Conway instead of blooding youngsters. These have gained him 4 points out of 33 so far. My prediction, therefore, is 0 points, dropping into the bottom 3 after defeat to Swansea on the last day.
  23. I thought someone said he bought her a Bentley Mark 2
  24. We are safe from relegation now. There are only 7 games left. Now is the time for Mowbray to be playing a host of youngsters from the kick off in every game. Get them ready for next season. Knowing TM he won't. And that is why I say get rid.
  25. Norwich City away. You read it here first.✊
