  1. My mate tells me we can vote for our choice of shirt design on the official web site but I've searched and cannot find anything.
  2. RFW says Rovers were fouling. Huh!!! Rollocks!!! Utd were the more aggressive physical side all night. I never thought I'd hear "Are you Burnley in disguise" being sung versus Man Utd. That alone is added to the wonderful memories I have of Rovers. I just can't stop grinning.
  3. Just got back from the pub and watched the match on TV. Not read any of this thread. I am so proud of our wonderful team tonight. We made them sweat and bite their fingernails to the bitter end. Their players are slightly technically better because Man U have megabucks more than us. But I thought we did ourselves proud tonight. One or two years ago we would not have given them such a good game. No disgrace tonight. They scraped through. Sparky is doing a fantastic job. Can't wait for the league match v them at Ewood. We have nothing to fear.
  4. We must make the most of Gamst, fellow Rovers fans. Enjoy him while we can, just as we did "the boy, Duff". If he continues to score such wonder goals we'll not be able to hold onto him. Back on topic, leave him as a midfielder.
  5. One was ejected from the Darwen end side of the Riverside stand. He and his two mates were standing and singing and bringing life to a empty-seated dull place. They weren't obstructing anyone's view. In fact they were entertaining us. Over-zealous stewarding was NOT appreciated by the rest of us. I know about the rules but if the ground had been packed and most had been standing would these stewards have evicted anyone then? Shame on you!!!
  6. He's also from Bolton; too close for a person to be truly neutral.
  7. Arsenal equalised in the last minute of added time of extra time and Doncaster lost on penalties. CRUEL
  8. Told you they'd win. Did I ever doubt the wonder team?
  9. Rovers finishing the strongest and fittest but still 0-0
  10. Boro better this half. End to end. Sounds good but Rovers should be 3-0 up by now. Still 0-0 Emerton on as sub
  11. Here we go again. Rovers on top. Boro managing only counter attacks. Still 0-0 Just watch Boro score just before half time. Jimmy FH the favourite!
  12. With typical pessimism I don't expect us to win either game but if the Boro fan's predictions are correct (4-0 and 0-2) I'll settle for that except the other way around; i.e. us to win 2-0 tomorrow night and take the usual Boxing Day drubbing 4-0. Let's go all out for the cup!
  13. Sweden and Paraguay to go through to the final stages. It must be the Blackburn Rovers pessimism syndrome coursing through my veins. That's my prediction. Hope I'm wrong.
  14. Talking of Wigan, I heard on the radio this morning that Jose Mourinho is alleged to have said "The game against Wigan Athletic is more important than the game against Liverpool" If, three years ago, I had suggested that the manager of the current league champions and whose team are way out in front again would seriously say that, you would have had me taken away to the funny farm. Isn't football strange?
  15. It's not the officials who ruined the game. It's FIFA's stupid rules that have destroyed the beautiful game. The officials are told to impose the stupid rules to the letter. I'm disillusioned once again.
  16. I presume the game is TUESDAY 29th. Nothing on the calendar. And fixtures are last seasons with only half filled in.
  17. Cracking game. Thoroughly enjoyable. Best friendly I've ever seen. The best team lost. Do not get complacent, England. If we meet the Argies in the finals it will be a different and much more difficult game to win. But what super entertainment today!
  18. Tugay, today, was superb. Lay off the ref; I thought he was better than Mike Riley, Barry Knight, Andy D'Urso etc. Fantastic performance considering injuries to defenders before and during the game. I think MGP got injured but soldiered on; hence his (perceived by some) poor performance. Brad was great, saving us several times and shouting at his error-making defence. The two Aussies were very good. Zurab MUST be signed on permanent. Cannot stop this giddy smile on my face.
