He's not the messiah. He's a very naughty boy for putting me through all that stress.?

THIS. !!! I'm 75 and I don't want my beloved Rovers to give me a heart attack.

At the Victoria ground I watched David Mail pull the mud from his studs before lashing in a penalty which gave us a 1-0 win.Was that in the 1970s?

Rovers vs Villa - post match discussion inc. MOTM Poll

All played well as a team but I gave MOM to Dack who scored two perfectly good goals, worked hard all game and did that tricky footy which the TV keep showing. Loving being a Rovers fan at the moment. -
Rovers v Villa - 15th September 2018

Raya was urging the wall to move but it remained stationary so he gave up. That's what I saw. Abraham, Grealish, McGinn and Jedinak are very polished players among other good'uns at Villa. We matched them throughout and that is pleasing. I'd have settled for a point at half time. Good job we scored first otherwise we wouldn't have got the point. -
So Gladwin beats Vince Grella's record easily. Not that I have anything against either of them. Grella's body just let him down. This was proved when he had to retire from playing football in Australia earlier than he should have. Gladwin looks like he may be going the same way. I hope not for his sake.

They are probably friends with Nyambe.
-
Surely one could get that information from the club itself. If not it's a poor do.

I second that. I remember it well. In 1953/54 (I think) we lost away at Lincoln 8-0. That equalled our heaviest ever defeat to Arsenal. Later that season my dad took me to Ewood in January where we gained some revenge with a 6-0 victory.
-
Agree entirely. It's such a pleasure to watch these two youngsters giving as good as they get and getting better and better every game. Nyambe has been developing slowly over the last twelve months and Bell is improving every game. Hope TM keeps this back four together.

This is the best Brentford team I have ever seen. All the players are tricky, fast, and know where each other is. Most of them are of foreign origin which seems the norm for London area teams and their quality is a joy to watch. Rovers did extremely well to gradually negate their efforts, nick a goal and, as the game went on, gain game superiority. Rothwell is a very exciting player. Bell is getting better and better. Mowbray's tactics were spot on. I'm delighted.

I seem to remember the Bayern Munich fans saying the same thing about Roque Santa Cruz who became a cult hero here at Ewood. We at Rovers will always give someone a chance. A professional footballer's career is very short; 10 to 15 years at best. From Rodwell's position, if he doesn't make it here he's finished. I hope Mogga is confident that Rodwell has truly had a change of attitude. We have to give him the benefit of the doubt.

It was making me very angry in the 1st half. I've paid money to watch football, not to be blinded by light with moving images and flashing. I'm surprised the referee didn't order them to be switched off; show that his authority is stronger than Sky's. -
Rodwell needs a few games in the under 23s first. I think this could be a good signing. I hope his mental attitude has changed for the better now he has a new club. Welcome to the Rovers, Jack, and good luck. In Tony we trust.

Me, my son and my grandson went to the game. Grandson is a lucky charm; 4 games watched and 4 games won. A great win. Hull are surprisingly poor. All played well but my MOM, when asked, was Lenihan. Son's MOM was Danny Graham even though he was a second half sub. and even though he missed 4 scoring chances. He held the ball up so well that we finished the game on the attack.

Good point taken from a strong Millwall side. Smallwood is out of his depth intros league. Rothwell looks very good and Palmer, who played on the right wing in the first half and in the middle in the second, also looks good. We never seem to win headers. And we don't look to try different things like other sides do. When Rothwell had that shot I had been crying out for 10minutes for someone to try a shot. Thought Bennett might have. Anyway, good point. Happy with that.

Millwall will be a very difficult team to beat. They surprised a lot of teams last season and should have beaten Middlesbrough last Saturday. I'm looking forward to the game. Not looking forward to seeing the players in the new drab colours though. Let's see what Rovers are really about in this division. I think a narrow hard-fought victory is due.

Is Brereton any better than Nuttall or Samuel? Strange offer from Rovers.
-
I won't be too disappointed if we sign no-one. If we cannot get the right players in then don't just sign anyone. Otherwise we'll finish up with more Gladwins and Harts than we can afford. Also I want to see the youngsters come through.

Seriously, they cocked it up big time in their naiveté. It took them a long time to learn. And, yes, they are totally arrogant and have never heard of the word "humility". But we are doing OK with little interference from them. But we must admit they are bankrolling us. So far so good since we got rid of Jerome Anderson and his cronies.
-
Never thought I'd say this but thank goodness we're owned by Venkys and not Oystons.
