  1. Is he still pointing a lot?
  2. I enjoyed watching them kill-off Arsenal with simple football. I shall enjoy them doing the same to Chelsea. Perhaps it's because I've fallen in love with Rashford ?. However, after the Chelsea tie I shall revert to semi hatred (probably).
  3. United get Chelsea away. Lovely jubbly. That's another London team and cup holders to boot knocked out. I must admit I'm rooting for Utd at present. Never thought I would have said this.
  4. His managerial skills brought us down, though.
  5. Time to scrap VAR. Lunatics in football have made the whole process too complicated as I knew they would.
  6. Yeah. Further back someone linked Tugay to Shearer and Garner. But although Shearer and Garner were brilliant at scoring goals, they didn't have the complete class of total control of body, brain, ball and awareness of opponents. Bryan Douglas was the only other one I have seen who had this. In other words, Tugay and Douglas are the only complete footballers I've ever seen in a Rovers shirt.
  7. I just love these footballers who want to play the beautiful game for as long as they can even if it means dropping down to pub league football in their 40s. Frank Worthington was one of those. Good on ye, Pascal. I've no time for those who elect to retire from international football either. Thank goodness there was no lucrative magnet in USA or China when Kevin Moran was coming to the end of his career.
  8. Worst.........Derek Dougan in the 1960 FA Cup final. Best have already been stated but I'll add Bellamy away at Portsmouth.
  9. Good. He needs game time and wasn't getting it at Lincoln.
  10. Now that's put the kiss of death on it. Precisely! It'll be a 2-2 draw. If not, we'll win 5-0 ?
  11. Another Tugay memory for me is at the Reebok stadium when he wasn't playing for whatever reason. Before the game started he walked from the dugout area in his suit all the way to the away supporters end, climbed over the wall and walked through us up to the back, probably to join some mates to watch the match. We were in awe. I thought what he did was great.
  12. Would you like Mowbray to sign your grandma then? Seriously though, I'm not too disappointed about tonight. I think we would have been embarrassed by Watford. Roll on Saturday.
  13. You can't expect Raya to stop all the shots. He has a very poor defence in front of him.
  14. I thought Rovers played as well as could be expected. It was never going to be a football exhibition, was it. For the neutral it was a dire game. But the last 10 minutes made my day and I'm over the moon. Fabulous win at a difficult ground. When I saw the starting line-up it re-ignited my faith in Mowbray. Onwards and upwards
  15. I had your Taylor as EddieThomas. Are you sure, Tyrone, or am I wrong.
  16. These podcasts are always so interesting to listen to. Well done and thank you.
  17. Are we attacking and looking for the winner? Or are we fanning around in our own penalty area? Oh its a draw
  18. We have ONE recognised centre back in Downing and he sits on the bench. Our full backs are pretty poor, all four of them. Therefore it is not surprising that we are shipping loads of goals. Cannot create scoring chances either (thinking of mid table Bristol City who can). I also question the training team for fitness and mental ability (of players). TM must realise these problems. If he doesn't were doomed. He's got to change a few things and be clever in the January window but I'm not holding my breath.
  19. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2018/december/lessons-to-be-learned---mowbray/ That is the biggest load of bullsh1t that TM has spoken since he has been here. "Lessons must be learned". How I hate that phrase. They've had 12 months to learn this lesson, week after week, month after month. If they haven't learnt it by now they never will.
  20. Kevin Gallagher said "lessons must be learnt". TM has never learned his lesson about the late conceding of goals. If he hasn't by now, he never will. We will continue to concede late goals all the way to relegation.
  21. I was feeling so sorry for myself after that then I checked the Forest result. They must be as gutted as us. We've GOT to stop shipping late goals.
  22. Well some of you may have heard this before. When I was a lad in the mid 1950s I watched a free-scoring Rovers demolish Middlesbrough 9-0 at Ewood Park. Tommy Briggs, our super centre forward (striker) played but didn't score in that game. The only Boro player I remember was the goalkeeper, Ugolini. Poor fellow! I wonder if he ever got over it. 2018 Boro are a solid side who will not lose two home matches on the trot. Rovers to lose 2-0 I'm afraid to say.
  23. It certainly does give a more realistic view of the league table, Blue n Whites. Thanks for that.
