Yes, as I said ain't hindsight great. Pukki was a free that has worked out incredibly well. Name me someone now we could replace Graham with for what we, apparently, paid for Brereton.
-
Almost half way through the season you are saying we should have spent the brereton money on the second top scorer in the league. Thanks for the incisive insight captain obvious
-
I can't. Myself and another poster were discussing Pukki for Norwich, then you came in with something about Brereton playing non league and hindsight being here. It didn't make any sense in the context of what was being discussed
-
Don't get you.Do you know what hindsight means?
-
If only it was that simple and straightforward. I don't think anyone outside maybe Norwich predicted Pukki would have the impact he did. We did well with Dack though, correct?

It wasn't possible to sign someone to replace Graham for that kind of money. He's top class
-
I agree. I do find it odd we spent most of our budget on a striker with the deficiencies elsewhere in the team
-
In fairness the majority of them were signed to get us out of league 1. Last summer wasn't great in terms of impact on the field, but I still think Rothwell, Rodwell and Davenport will turn out to be good signings. Hopefully Brereton too. I don't rate Armstrong.
-
Hasn't started a game. Do you not think that plays a factor?
-
I think it's pretty easy to defened Brereton. He has played about 90% of the little game time he has had out of position. Mowbray on the other hand...
-
Great player Gallagher
-
Celina and Freeman either side of Dack. Oh, don't do that to me
-
As it stands, I would say Sam Gallagher is far more effective player
-
Mowbray thinks every player can play in every position. I think this is a bit of an old fashioned view. Players specialise now more than they ever had. I just find it odd, especially as he expects the "wingers" to do so much defending. Just bloody play wingers then, not strikers. Players like Dack don't come along very often. I am fearful we are wasting having him there due to this nonsense of not supporting him with proper wingers. Anyway, on Brereton, the young lads confidence looks shot. Probably becuase he is being brought on out of position for 10 minutes a game. I don't blame him. IM GOING TO USE CAPITALS FOR THIS WHY DIDNT WE SPEND 7 MILLION ON A WINGER INSTEAD OF SPENDING 7 MILLION ON A STRIKER TO PLAY THERE, BADLY??? It's becoming more bizarre by the week

He is being played out of position, but even allowing for that. I think this is the problem, what encouragement is there for Palmer, Rothwell and Rodwell? No matter what they do, they won't start. It's time to shake things up Tony. Use your squad, not just your favourites!!!! -

Well that's up there with our defensive issues. Bad passes or bad choices in and around the opposition box. We just don't have the flair or the movement. Armstrong is incredibly frustrating at times, gives the wrong pass or hits the defender more often than he does something good -

I don't blame Dack. For Birminghams second goal last week, he looked to be one of the few who kept his head. He almost nicked it off a guy on midfield before they scored. We have too many panickers; Smallwood and Lenihan in particular. When the pressure is on, the two lads lose the ability to focus and pass the ball accurately. After Dack almost nicked the ball against Birmingham, their players just walked straight through Smallwood. And seriously, I know it has been said. What the fuck does Rothwell have to do to play? Brereton obviously isn't looking great, but I think that's on Mowbray. He is using him sparingly, which I thought was fair enough, but when it's constantly out of position, all he is doing is knocking the lads confidence. A draw would have been a great set up to the Xmas period. Another fucking late goal though. -

Would agree with all of that. A frustrating day, but when you don't take your chances at this level, you will be punished. It's not league 1. -

My God, wasn't expecting that team lol I really don't know why Armstrong is starting. I have not liked what I have seen this season. Good finish last week, but I think Rothwell or Palmer could give us more all round. I would have preferred Williams over Bell too. Lenihan needs a big game today I feel.
