Ya, of course his main goal would be to break into the Southampton team. You look at their midfield though and there are a few big money buys there.
-
It is being over cautious/loyal. Simple as that. Rodwell and Rothwell should have played more.
-
I think your first sentence explains the issue in your last sentence. The players signed, like Rothwell and Rodwell have not been given enough time. I like Smallwood, but he isn't going to be joining Man city for almost £20 million any time so, as Rodwell did. If Rodwell is fit, he could be head and shoulders above other midfielders in the league. He isn't in his mid 30s, he is in his prime. It's odd Mowbray only seems keen on playing him centre half, well I suppose he isn't on the wing at least

I like that team, but I would play Evans instead of Travis. -
Steve Wonder can see we should be higher up the table

Yep, you need to sign some new Mulgrews, Bennetts and Evans. Solid or above proven Championship players

This time of year throws up odd results. In my opinion it's a good time of year to be the underdog. -

Did you not read my preview -
Had the old work party yesterday so not feeling too fresh today. This is my 3rd match thread this year and will undoubtedly be the worst. Big game for us to test our credentials. Knowing us we will put in a good show here. My 1 concern is the deflating manner of the draw last week. I have been on teams where you throw games away and it is so difficult to get the momentum back the next game. Players are looking around blaming each other. Hopefully our tight knit bunch dig deep and put last week to bed. From looking at score updates over the season, Norwich love a late goal. This undoubtedly means none of us will have any nails left come 5pm Saturday. I am going to go with a heartbreaking 2-2. Their equalizer coming in the 14th minute of injury time after they have hit the post 6 times, the crossbar 9 times and we clear 14 shots off the line. Brereton will also miss a one on one just before they score. Players who have played for both that come to my mind; the legend that is Christopher Roy Sutton and the legend in the making Benno. Happy Christmas Rovers fans

I thought Coleman came out if it pretty well. I think pep would have struggled to turn that mess around. My god the negative energy coming off the crowd was intense. Nervousness too. Some of the goals they conceded near the end of that season would rip the heart out of a fan. The players couldn't handle the pressure. That game against Burton was an insane end to things That fan who confronted Coleman in the last episode needed a good smack. How do people think that they can get away with shit like that. He must have signed off on having himself featured in the show as well. -
Yes, but Peterboroughs model hasn't got them promoted recently. I think Dack is irreplaceable. That's why I'm worried this season could be a missed opportunity if we miss out on the play offs

OK, not going to be at a pc for hours. If someone else wants to do the thread, fire away!

That's not what I asked ? Go on then, but it will be a couple of hours

If you aren't a top class finisher, you have to be able to mix it with centre halves in the championship physically.
-
Mmm, this is true. Although Graham is nice, but he has a nasty streak when it comes to mixing it physically with defenders. Wasn't it yourself who brought up Fletchers displays in the Sunderland show? Now he is a wind bag. I must say though I have seen Brereton giving opposition players lip and that time him and Dack kept the ball in the corner near the end of the game showed balls/cheek. Actually ter 3 words I highlighted above could definitely, 100% be used to describe Dack.
-
More to do with the fact its always late in the game. When we are defending a lead ,we sit back. I suppose you could argue Graham is a better defender. He clears a lot of corners
-
Ya, even if we had Jordan Rhodes now, could you really say starting him over Graham would be the best thing to do? I want Brereton to start, but we only have one spot and Graham is class. With a few games back to back over Xmas, it could be the time for Brereton though. If not then he has to start against Newcastle!!
-
Bit too early for that. Maybe let him start a game first!

That's the bloody thing. Football is the biggest promoter of sports and football in the UK and Ireland. Who finds it surprising when young football players with too much money and free time would get in trouble with it? Plenty of my mates are flat out on the app, getting in trouble with their partners and all for it. Personally I have a €20 max bet each week, sometimes its less. It's a slippery slope and as the saying goes "the bookie always wins"

Steele let in some clangers. I am only on episode 7, but knowing he ended up at Brighton will probably stop me feeling sorry for him. Fletcher looked like one of the worst strikers I have seen in a long time. I play 5 a side with better players and that's not an exaggeration. He looked slow, AWFUL first touch, brutal shot and worst of all for a big lad he was an absolute wimp, constantly getting pushed off it. Letting Grabban go so that Fletcher could lead the line was up there with as bad a decision as you will see. Did you see the bit where McGeady slates Coleman for this? He was dead right. I disagree with McGeady about Coleman not being hard enough on the players though, I think Colemans initial idea of softly ,softly to take the pressure off was a good idea at the time. I'm just after finishing episode 7 myself, so perhaps Coleman will start dishing out bollockings soon. No spoilers from anyone please! I would definitely take Oviedo, McGeady and Williams here. Honeyman and Cattermole don't impress me at all. -

Fair enough points. He didn't come across well in the show though, but Coleman went in as well and he didn't exactly excel. Perhaps Grayson was so downbeat as it had dawned on him that he had made a huge mistake going there. -
Nice down to earth lad by the sounds of it I would be delighted altogether if we sign him
-
It was definitely Tomlinson I heard. Mowbray said it in an interview. Maybe it was both though.
