  1. Had to check that, 1 win all season. That is shocking. @chaddyrovers I thought you said they had a good squad during the summer??
  2. Maybe he is a late bloomer, but yes, his stats prior to this season are pretty bad.
  3. Rangers are tracking Gillingham striker Tom Eaves ahead of the January transfer window, Sky Sports News understands. He is currently the top-scorer in Sky Bet League One with 13 goals and Championship clubs Preston and Blackburn are also understood to be keen on the 26-year-old.
  4. He is getting games for our first team. Again, he is currently on loan, he won't be joining for £7 million(or whatever the fee actually is) until January. The price tag is irrelevant as to what you think he should or should not be doing. Players take time to settle at clubs. Mowbray is taking it slowly with Brereton and as we are currently over achieving in the league, that's fine with me. United signed Fred for £60 million and Liverpool Keita for roughly the same. Neither are setting the world alight. As I said, it takes time for players to settle.
  5. At the end of the day fans are entitled to their opinion, how the club and manager spends £7 million is at their discretion. I would like to see Brereton get more game time, but we are doing well and he won't be dislodging Graham as first choice this season, nor should he. if he signs a 3-4 year deal in January, he will have plenty of time to show his value.
  6. He is playing in the first team and has looked decent in cameos. To say he is not good enough is wide of the mark. Granted he hasn't started upfront enough. Plus Graham is doing really well and we are over achieving position wise. Fans these days have no patience
  7. Southampton and Norwich?
  8. It isn't as if before Coyle arriving we were at the top of the table. We were "bobbing around mid table", so after falling to league and one and getting promoted, why would you expect better? I think it is reasonable to acknowledge that steady progress will take time. Look at Sheffield united. As for finances, from a quick look, every team ahead of us in the league, apart from Birmingham, has spent more and plenty below us have also.
  9. Looks like Gary Monk on the left. Doing some scouting for next weekend
  10. We have no right to be in the premier league. From where Mowbray found the club, we are over achieving. Top 8 after being promoted from league 1? Ambitious. We will be there or thereabouts I reckon you are the only one who thinks we aren't overachieving
  11. We are still over achieving, so you could make the argument that the new players have increased competition and brought the best out of those who are starting. Brereton pretty much never playing upfront is odd though. I would start him against Newcastle for definite
  12. Ya, I didn't like his body language. All players miss chances, but lack of effort cannot be defended. He was brought on to hurt them on the wing. He should have been snapping at players heels and giving everything for the time he was on. Pretty much what Dack and Reed, two better players, were doing all game. Considering it was Boro and he is a Newcastle lad, I have no idea why he looked so petulant at times
  13. Still overachieving though
  14. At the end of the the though, whatever about his signings, we are over achieving. I think Rothwell and Brereton will go onto be great signings. Maybe not this season though
  15. I agree Mowbray is cautious in many ways, but I think on Saturday he was very positive in the second half. Rothwell for Smallwood was a very attacking sub. Shuld have gotten Brereton on earlier, but I do understand why he would leave Graham on...sometimes he just needs one chance
  16. I thought Evans was very pedestrian in midfield. He needs to be quicker and snappier when we have an extra man Armstrong was shocking
  17. Are the two fans giving Mowbray or Pulis daggers??
  18. Should be alright on the wing though. Pretty direct. Uses the same 1 move that Armstrong uses, hit and chase, but I would say that Mr Plow is an upgrade
  19. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/17286855.charlie-mulgrew-reflects-on-rovers-draw-at-middlesbrough/?ref=mac Have to agree with Mulgrew that the ref was excellent(even allowing for missing the red first time). Credit where it is due. He was getting a lot of slack from the home crowd ,but he stuck to his guns and got most decisions correct.
  20. Did we sign that from Forest as part of the deal? Would have been useful against that Boro defense last weekend
  21. He got West brom there, so he proved he has the tactical nous. At the moment he is doing well with the resources he has at hand. You must have thought ok at some point though, didn't you have to take a break from here after predicting us to win every game ?? I can't remember the exact chain of events
  22. That comment about Mowbray is silly. He came into a mess and started getting results straight away. Not his team or players. To say that he put us down is very far off the mark. You do remember Coyle don't you?
