  1. Score draw or one team to win 0-1. I wrote it like that, cos hopefully it will be us. Can see us going ahead and conceding a late one following aerial bombardment. I bet Pulis wishes Rory Delap was still around.
  2. I presume it was Martin O'Neill. If it was, sounds like he lost the plot near the end at Sunderland too
  3. Well if a team doesn't do it properly , like Wednesday, he will run amok. Hopefully he is back to his best , so that even if a team does, it won't stop him
  4. If Dacks on form, who knows. I have a sneaky feeling Pulis mind under estimate him and not do a man marking job
  5. Mowbray obviously doesn't rate him there ?
  6. It's an interesting one. On paper it's a good signing for Shamrock Rovers. I didnt see the game you mention. What did you think of him when he was here? He looked light to me. Easy to shove off the ball. Compared to Dack, it's chalk and cheese. I suppose he stepped from under age at city to the Dutch league, neither as physical as the championship. For someone like Dack cutting their cloth in the lower leagues, as a smaller guy, you need to be tough in your position. If your bullied off the ball, you just won't last
  7. So let's all just take the comment at face value so
  8. Really? Who played him there,O'Neill? I have seen him do the odd bit of good wing work, but he is too good a finisher to stick out there, as the stats prove
  9. 1 goal in 42 games for Sunderland. Christ, that's a a bad run. He has pretty much 1 in 2 here. Forgot he had a decent run in the premier league with Swansea
  10. Ah I think if he stayed he would have given Samuel and Antonsson a fair fight to start in their place. Granted, both are strikers
  11. Jack Byrne, formerly of this parish, has signed for Shamrock Rovers. That is a metioric fall from being highly thought of at city. Moral of the story, signing for Coyle is very bad!!
  12. Nuttall was competing with a few players for one position though. Mahoney players in a position where he would have gotten more games
  13. He still lives in Middlesborough when not near Ewood, doesn't he? Pretty sure that's where his family live. He will definitely want to get a good result here
  14. Or the fact he gave him a 3 year deal with his injury problems. Worked out well though. I know players can't say anything negative about the manager, unless they they don't want to play anymore. Even when's it's a pleb like Kean in charge!
  15. Because he is implying what Dack is saying isn't necessarily true. If you did an interview and someone said you didn't necessarily mean what you said, would you take that to mean you were lying?
  16. Needless paranoia and manipulation? Wind your neck in. It was a snide comment, you aren't going to change my opinion on that.
  17. My big, big, huge , enormous fear about this game is that their strengths are set-pieces and throws, which are pretty much our kryptonite. The players will need to be disciplined and not give away silly frees.
  18. Tony lulling them into a false sense of security lol “For us, we’ll go there and try and make it a competitive game. “We have to play how we play, but if we are over ambitious at times then they do have the quality to hurt you on the transition because they have good players. “But it’s a game we will go and try and be positive in.”
  19. Pulis has aged a lot over the last couple of years. Football management can take it out of a man. Put the hat back on man I have always found him a dislikeable sort. What do the Boro fans think? I suppose once he is doing well, it's all the one what his personality is like.
  20. Ya, wasn't long after was it? After our good start that season, I remember watching that game and it hitting me that we were as bad as I feared and as lucky to have started well as I expected
  21. Ya, it was awful. We never looked like scoring. I remember being so disappointed as I rarely got to watch us live back then. Was it 1-0? The scoreline flattered us and I thought jesus if we had have lost 4-0 might have been some chance Kean would be sacked! A sack of potatoes on the sideline could have outsmarted Kean
  22. I would suggest going all out attack/ gung-ho away to one of the best sides in the division would not be a great strategy, but maybe that's just me
  23. I remember watching one game against them under Kean I think. It was a Friday night. One of the rare occasions around then that we were on sky. Marvin Emnes stood out for them, he ran riot and we were lucky to only lose by one goal. It was either 1-0 or 2-1. Pretty much a typical Mowbray ground out win Grooby gave me a 6 week ban from the official board after that game for some choice language about the fact that Kean was still manager. My longest ban lol
  24. Generally I agree the game is going soft, but some of the tackling in the past was arguably a criminal offence. I saw a clip of George Best in a documentary a while back and he was assaulted at least 5 times in the build up to a goal. It would certainly be 5 red cards now if it happened. Maradona used to get worse in South America. Players like Dack got it really bad. It has gone too far when I see some of the cards dished out these days, but player safety is the most important thing at the end of the day. Klopp was going too far though. You can't start giving cards when the defender wins the ball from the front, with no studs showing.
