  1. Good solid defensive midfielder. Put him in a team with better players and he wouldn't look out of place. He will never be the one you look to for goals or creativity, but not every player can be that. He intercepts passes and breaks up play. I wouldn't be surprised to see a top 10 championship team sign him if he was available on a free.
  2. He has just signed a new two and a half year deal. I think this is good news. When fit he is a good championship midfielder. I would even bet as players in the squad improve, he will keep his place. If he left, how much would it cost to replace him? He would have ended up at a top championship club A bit pedestrian from my liking at times, but he is good at what he does.
  3. There is a young fell who does match blogs, I think he goes by Briggsy boy. He is good now. Ye should try and get him involved
  4. Raya Nyambe Lenihan Mulgrew Williams Smallwood Evans Reed Dack Conway Brereton
  5. We were talking about the robona. That's what I said was hillarious on many levels
  6. You have lost me. Who is disrespecting what now?
  7. That was called the "Lowe shuffle" , his equivalent of the Cruyff turn
  8. Not fancy enough ? Against Villa of all teams ? Can you imagine what their fans were saying?
  9. When I think of Birmingham city 3 things come to my mind 1- Robbie Savage Loved Robbie when he was here. He was a real warrior in that Hughes team. Snarling and snapping around midfield. Thanks Brum 2-Alex McLeish Big Eck, a gruff Scotsman who these days can mostly be found fighting with Tony Mowbray about how much he is allowed flog that old war horse Charlie Mulgrew. Did well at Birmingham, winning their last major trophy, the 2011 league cup. The win was against your textbook later period Wenger team, devoid of bottle. The winner coming from a last minute Obafemi Martins goal on his 54th birthday, which was nice. 3- This Well at least when he went back to Rovers the most embarrassing period of his career was over. Well, mostly. Recent times Following the cup win and relegation from the Premier league, like many clubs, they have had a bumpy few years. They are owned by a Hong Kong based business man and following my intensive 5 minute online research on this, I am even more confused. In short, lots of shenanigans have gone on there since he arrived on the scene. I remember them sacking Gary Rowett when on the cusp of the play-offs, only to make a disastrous appointment in Zola. they floated around relegation after this, up until their last managerial appointment. In a match that looks to have worked out well for both parties, Gary Monk has gotten his promising looking career back on track at the club, after dodgy spells at dodgy Leeds and not dodgy Boro. They are currently sitting in 9th place ,equal on points with their illustrious hosts. This is a huge game for both sides as we are now getting to the point where you either break from the middle pack and keep touch with the play-offs, or you drop off to mid table obscurity(or worse). A quick look at their squad suggests to me that Monk is getting the best out of the players at his disposal. They have their financial difficulties and were restricted during the summer when it came to incomings, so credit to Monk. This is the kind of game we must win if we have any hopes of keeping in touch with the play-offs. Hopefully the performance is more Sheffield Wednesday than United. Prediction 2-1 Rovers
  10. Ah lads, no video of the podcast. You will need to get yourself a studio Ian
  11. Was listening to a show on the radio the other day, Monaco get attendances of 8,000 per home game. I didn't realise it was so low.
  12. No truth to the Eaves rumours so I read. A number of articles today linking him to Hibs. That's probably more his level to be fair
  13. He has started our last 2 games and wouldn't be surprised if he kept his place on Saturday. He was down the pecking order, but for various reasons he has moved into pole position.
  14. Incredible. Leicester got close enough. Last 8 , wasn't it? Not back to back promotions, but pretty close together
  15. As have I. I remember after one game there was a number of drive by laughs followed up by revenge hits. Real tit for tat stuff!
  16. I think you are onto something there. Using the laughter emoji without responding clearly winds people up(if they weren't actually making a joke) , if you respond 9/10 the situation will be diffused without people getting annoyed, even if you aren't agreeing with what the poster says.
  17. We spent a bit last summer, which is great, but if you look at the last 2-3 years there is no way we blew Norwich or Sheffield United out of anything! Same with pretty much every club ahead or in and around us
