That's true, but can I ask honestly what were your expectations at the beginning of the season? What position did you A-think we would finish in and B- would you have been happy with. Not saying you are guilty of this, but many of those completely over reacting now were those who said they would be happy with us just staying up. As you are though, I have big concerns about recent performances, particularly ;Preston , Wigan, Birmingham and Rotherham. Also the summer business is now looking poor. Mowbray showed a lot of faith in those who got us up. The momentum from last season carried on and we started pretty well. The lack of quality in key areas is showing now though. Personally though I think /hope Mowbray identifies this. Therefore I would give him the January and summer windows. A new manger coming in would unsettle the close knit squad. It would also more than likely hasten Dacks exit. While Mowbray got the summer business pretty wrong. He is getting this team, at times, playing to their strengths. Even though the last 8ish games, bar Wednesday, have been awfully frustrating. Prior to this, we pulled off some great results.

Ya, those managers have been successes, however many Norwich fans wanted Farke gone last year and for everyone of those you mention, there is one like the guy at Sheffield Wednesday. Here's hoping Mowbray can turn it around
-
Personally I wouldn't over react right now and I think most others wouldn't either. It's not about the Norwich or Leeds games. They were so frustrating, but they are top of the table team and that's football. For me, the real frustration stems from the Preston, Wigan, Rotherham and Birmingham games. The Norwich and Leeds games have just compounded that.

Well that's not true, off the top of my head we signed Scott Dann for at least £4 million.

Interesting and well thought out in fairness to you. Although I disagree with a fair bit, some parts do ring true. Who would you like to get in? Personally the ex Fulham manager would be good I reckon. The thing is you need a specific type of manager to work effectively under Venkys, or at least attempt to. I think Mowbray is a good, honest and hardworking man. I have some doubts if he is the one to take us up, but I think he deserves this window and the summer one. At that point, if the backing continues, there really can be no excuses.

Oh come on man. You are a moderator aren't you? I have been on here rarely since the Leeds game and I have seen a number of posters say it. Particularly in the match thread. I have seen posters say it today. Does it not count if people say it there after a game or something? I couldn't be bothered going back and finding posts. I have better things to be doing!

The best bit is that those who are saying he should be sacked are the very ones who said they would be happy with us just staying up.
-
Ya, I don't think many saw him turning into a good championship defender. Unfortunately
-
All of which ties in with Mowbrays confusion as to why no strikers stayed up yesterday after we went ahead. I'm all for player power, but our team outside of Mulgrew doesn't have enough winners or leaders for this to work at championship level to the level we all want. The manager needs to take command at certain, if not all, times. If you have a team with your Roy Keanes etc, you can delegate responsibility. As I said, our lot are too young and not used to winning stuff.

This is the mystery of the season. Even our manager doesn't know why. Shape shifting reptiles are involved somewhere I bet
-
He still would have been sacked if it was nowadays though. I am not comparing them. Plenty of mangers go to clubs having won silverware elsewhere and are sacked at the first sign of trouble. That's my point. Managers should be given time. Within reason obviously. Steve Kean being the complete opposite example. Do you think Mowbray should be sacked?
-
I agree there major question marks over those moves. Particularly Armstrong in my opinion as he actually plays and is rubbish. The jury is out on Brereton. We definitely should have spent as much as we could have on a centre half to partner Mulgrew. I suspect Tony thought Lenihan would perform better than he has. Needs to be sorted in January. If Sheffield United came back offering 4.5 million again for Lenihan, I would take their hand off. Plenty on here, me included, would have been annoyed if we had have accepted it last summer. Football is funny.
-
Because I think managers should be given time to build. To me, when I made the comment, Mowbray had plenty of credit in the bank, which he still does in my opinion. We are going through a blip. Calls for him to be sacked are stupid. We have done the churn and burn here long enough and it gets us nowhere. I'm not sure why I said 6, I can't remember the specifics. For you and blueboy333 or ladyboy or whatever he is going by these days. If someone on here was pathetic enough and had no life, so that they could trawl back through posts to find stuff you said a few months back, would your opinion be the exact same?
-
Ya, they last no time, because of fickle fans and the pressure of said fans on social media. If it was like that back when Ferguson took over united, he would have been sacked. Would that have been daft?
-
Wow. You're pathetic. How much time did you spend finding that? Do you have nothing better to do? Genuine question. Well I still wouldn't be knee jerking like some on here saying he should be fired. I believe managers should be given time to build. None get it these days. You can see by the over reactions of some on here why that is.

After watching the highlights a couple of times, the following points haven't been mentioned. Mulgrew definitely dived for the peno. A great dive so it was. The Leeds player clumsiness meant it had to be given. I would blame Lenihan for the 3rd Leeds goal. He is a couple of feet from Roofe. Not close enough and doesn't compete for the header. Inexcusable He needs to be replaced. Raya pulled off some incredible saves

Why do we concede so many last minute goals?

Seems that way to me. -

It's pretty clear to me what the issue is. Mulgrew aside we have no composure at the back and Mulgrew isn't a natural centre half. He is our best defender. Raya- great shot stopper. Nervous at times and prone to panicking. Kicking atrocious, invites pressure and adds to the nerves. Nyambe- good physical attributes. Very young, can't be relied on to be the "cool head" at the back Lenihan--poor distribution and frankly not a good enough defender. Very nervous at times. Tenacious, but wreckless . Now seems to have removed some of the tenacity, which has made him a worse defender Bell- OK going forward. Major question marks defensively, particularly under the high ball. Williams- Not good enough to be starting. Better centre half than left back. Probably as he has to keep things simpler. His distribution can be awful at times, many times in the same game in fact. Downing-a bit slow but I think he should be starting with Mulgrew. He is a natural, no nonsense centre half. Mowbray starts Lenihan because he is more athletic, which he is, but I think that is to the detriment of the team. We have too many nervous defenders with poor distribution. Mowbray should have tried in someway to sort this during the summer. I will be honest , deep down I knew from watching us last season our defence was dog shit, Mulgrew aside, but I hoped Lenihan would come on this year and step up. He hasn't. Maybe Mowbray hoped for the same. -
Why would I specifically say 6 years? I dont remember saying that. What's the bit in bold about? Think you're losing your memory. That happens when you get older or maybe you are on the sherry?
