True, but Messi is Messi and posts about him will attract all sorts of weirdos from around the world, including the Ronaldo fan boys. A post about Brereton would only have comments from Rovers fans and possibly Forrest fans. Which is a pretty small sample. The amount of nastiness underneath the post is high considering that in my opinion. I would hope that a young 19 year old lad struggling for confidence wouldn't read them. I know my skin wasn't as thick at 19 as it is now as a grizzled and world weary 34 year old. I just don't see why some of our fans need to be so nasty to be honest. Just don't comment like if you're going to be a prick.
-
Perhaps not. However go onto instagram and have a look at some of the stuff our own "fans" are writing in the comment section under the post about him signing. Very nasty stuff.

Joint top scorer at the under 19 Euros according to the LT. Chris Brown never did that!!

JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW

Ya, I would imagine the clauses are ambitious. Stuff like promotion, England caps etc are worth a fair bit -
JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW

The article in the LT says we paid a loan fee and the deal could rise to £7 million https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/17335779.ben-brereton-joins-rovers-permanently-from-nottingham-forest/ -
JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW

If Warnock is interested, there must be something in him... -
I think some of the most critical on here have never played themselves or it was so long ago they have forgotten. Sensible post

Not great odds to be honest. I would have thought it would have been higher. I presume Armstrong will start though, so you have every chance. In Paddy Power we are 4/1 just to win. I think BTTS is a great bet. I just did BTTS and a Rovers win. I also did a straight double with us and Stanley to win(they are home to Ipswich). Pays 12/1

JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW
Bigdoggsteel replied to adz4d2's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Jordon Mutch is available on a free. Could be a good experienced option on a deal til the summer, then see what happens. Has played left mid a fair bit. https://www.transfermarkt.com/jordon-mutch/profil/spieler/57207 I think he has had his injuries, but I thought he looked decent from what I have seen. Efe Ambrose(the one who got away from Coyle) is leaving Hibs on a free also. Apparently to Cardiff. -
I think he has looked decent too. It seems to me some fans are at the point now where they are happy when he doesn't play well as it "proves them right". Some definitely exaggerate how "badly" he has played and look for anything to nit pick about. Some can't separate the fact he is a young 19 year old who is still growing and learning , from the transfer fee. Before anyone jumps in. I am not saying all those who have doubts fall into the above category-some valid points are being made.

I was thinking last night that Liverpool missed the OX in the side. I think Travis is a similar player insofar as he is a good strong runner whose inclination is to move the ball forward. Unlike Smallwood or Cory Zoolander
-
Ssshhh I think that's different than directly naming people who said it though.
-
No, you just don't have sad acts following you around pointing it out. I said I couldn't remember saying it. I stand by my assertion that managers should be given time to build. I don't agree with the churn and burn, even if on a bad run. You are a great man for the "I told you so's". I find it very immature to be honest.
-
Ha ha. Good thing you spotted it!
-
Well he hasn't been used very much and is yet to score. We have issues in defence, so to say we should have spent some money there is hardly groundbreaking. Admit what? Again, can you clarify? Do posters need to add a disclaimer to each post where they may have changed their mind on something? It must be odd to be you and never change your opinion on anything.
-
Shifting my ground how exactly? And even if I did, what's wrong with people changing their opinion in light of more evidence? You seem to have an issue with it.

Championship 2018-19
Bigdoggsteel replied to Cherry Blue's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
He had an easy route out of here. The way is career is after nose diving puts him in a tricky spot. Get relegated or walk beforehand. It seems he is getting the PR train rolling anyway. -
Look, you won't get any argument from me that currently it looks like the money should have been spent elsewhere. I still don't think it's easy to pick up proven players who are guaranteed to perform. Every deal is a risk. This one could work out well yet. Hopefully it does. I don't think you can say Armstrong is proven at all. In fact I am pretty sure he has a worse goal scoring record at this level than Brereton!

What's nonsense?

Evans is the worst. Reminds me of Zoolander not being able to turn left. His body position more often than not seems fixed in position for sideways or backwards passes only.

Championship 2018-19

Things sound to be going just swell there. Could hardly blame the players for not signing. They all appeared very loyal to McCarthy and he was turfed out. The players look to have made the correct choice not signing extensions -
I haven't seen anyone defend the deal to be honest. I just don't think it's as simple as saying "we should have signed 3 proven players instead". We would have done well to get 1 in todays market. That's the reality. He has 2 assists in 300 minutes of football. Graham is our main man and should start. Things could be worse. I think this deal has been discussed to death. 93 pages and counting.

Buying a player for £750,000 and selling for £15 million would be any football club owners "wet dream" in fairness. To be honest with you, I think that £15 million is such small change compared to what they have put in, they wouldn't be in any hurry to sell him. I reckon Mowbray has sold the "slow build" to them, with the aim being getting back to the Premier league. I think Dack stays as long as he wants to stay and Mowbray wants him. I can't see Mowbray being forced to sell.
-
Like who? You would be doing well to sign 3 proven Championship players for 5 million
