  1. Ooh, that would be a very spicy signing!
  2. I think the breakdown of how many FORWARD passes Smallwood and Evans attempt/complete compared to Travis would be interesting.
  3. Rothwell has potential, but I don't think he has shown anything yet that would convince me that he can play the role as well as Dack. Hopefully he does though
  4. Yes, but the club has also said we don't need to sell him this window. So unless it's an enormous bid, I can't see him leaving.
  5. It seems once Dack is happy here, we are in no rush to sell. I am convinced he will do a Bentley unless he gets his next move right. Good would be Brighton, Newcastle etc, bad would be West ham or pretty much any London club. I know there is no loyalty in football, but I think he owes us next season too. Although we would need to be better in the window next summer to encourage him, much better....
  6. The Rochdale fans thought Hart was a great player for them going off twitter. I wonder is he being recalled and Williams being sold? Platt being recalled makes sense. Hasn't started a game.
  7. Worst ever? Wow and Chaddy said they had a great squad and McCarthy was rubbish! That really is an incredible lesson in how not to deal with your managerial situation. They are toast.
  8. Reed has definitely improved us. They seemed to be really signing odds and ends. Didn't they sign Darren Gibson after he was sacked by Sunderland? That guy is a crock! They let Max Power join Sunderland then. I thought he did well for them last season. A lot of their fans are saying Cook rushed players back too soon after injury. Maasey and Powell in particular, both out again I think.
  9. We won't be selling Smallwood in January, absolutely no chance. Not sure about Williams, but who would be willing to buy him? Nuttall should go on loan. I have read than Tomlinson will be released on a free. Not sure if that is true.
  10. Lenihan right back could be a good call. I would like to try and win the game, to do that we need to have Mulgrew starting and Graham on the bench at least. The center half pairing you have selected would worry me. I agree on Williams though. Personally, I would start Brereton. It's the ideal game for him to get up and running.
  11. Nickoette Smallwood to Celtic or Brighton for £5 million. Might happen, might not. Aye.
  12. But you said "For the first time I began to wonder if there was something sinister going on with all these “errors”" That sounds pretty suggestive to me!
  13. It's good that we have had an extra days rest over them. They are playing this evening too, late kick-off in a tough game against resurgent Man u. We could catch them on the hop I hope we play a strong team. A cup run would be great
  14. Hopefully that Christmas period battle hardened us for the last 20 games.
  15. I didn't realise he had played so little
  16. Interesting observations. You could well be right
  17. Why? Why Lenihan right back? Why Bennett left mid? Why Nuttall? Why Downing and Rodwell? Why is Mulgrew not even on the bench? Why Just....why?
  18. Fair play to him-honest and confident!
  19. Ya and when Livermore threw Travis to the ground Brereton and Lenihan were straight over in his face. There is a line, but it's great to see some fight again. Mulgrew got the two lads away as well, which showed some mature leadership. You can see that these players care about the club doing well. It wasn't like than under Coyle. Great to see at this level again.
  20. I haven't seen anything about us signing Reed permanently. It would be a cracking bit of business. It seems like Southampton don't want to let him go and it's clear why. Where has Nickos representative on here gone actually?
  21. Well that appointment stank from day one. Didn't we lose 4-1 to Norwich opening day and then not win in 7? Kean was the the same. By God they left him in situ in spite of fans for so long it felt like torture. Mowbray has shown he is no mug and can get results. We all know he is cautious, but I think we will move in the right direction under him ultimately. We have some good young players and he seems to be able to motivate them
  22. The knee jerk fan reaction definitely leads to managers being sacked at some clubs. I don't think Mowbray will be going anywhere anytime soon and I'm happy about that. I believe you need to give managers time. Look at Norwich.
  23. Anything to keep him out of the middle and off the ball. To think the team bowyer had around him and Williamson in midfield. Crazy.
  24. That's what one fan said. To which he responded that he would still pick Richie. I suppose blood is thicker than water
