  1. It's worse than odd, it's moronic to the highest degree.
  2. The situation with Brereton is a f**king joke. He's going to miss 2 games because of FIFA sanctions for not being released, whereas he would have missed 3 if he was released. We can't win. Being punished for having an international player. Am I understanding this properly?? The club and chile should surely have come to some agreement not to call him up?
  3. Not sure where best put this, but the situation with Brereton is a fucking joke. He's going to miss 2 games because of FIFA sanctions for not being released, whereas he would have missed 3 if he was released. We can't win. Being punished for having an international player. Am I understanding this properly?? The club and chile should surely have come to some agreement not to call him up?
  4. Depends on how much the test costs. Fine if its free. Spread has been shown to be minimal to non-existent in outdoor settings. Some common sense needed.
  5. Someone who has had the vaccine can do the exact same thing though and give the virus to someone who is or isn't vaccinated? They could also end up in hospital, just like Oscar De la Hoya did, who was fully vaccinated.
  6. Same, one of my favs
  7. No, not at this level anyway with the size of the fanbase
  8. That's mean. I hate that kind of nit picking on everyday workers due to incompetence and money mismanagement above. Like in the grand scheme of things its peanuts and god knows we need more fans at games! I don't even get how it saves money ,it's not like there's a waiting list and someone else will take them, they will just go idle. Hate that crap.
  9. Thanks ,but I backed him up until about half way through last season. There were a good few that wanted him out before that, but then again some wanted him out after the League 1 season!
  10. Ya, but JB says a lot of things 😉 Is that true? Obviously bad from if it is
  11. Why would the non playing staff be unhappy? Have there been paycuts?
  12. This is it, so I cautiously say what I did! Its the resilience and bouncebackability thats so important and will tell a story
  13. I don't get that in the slightest from the players TBH. Surprised, but it looks the opposite. The moral and team spirit is better here than I recall since we went down from the PL. For all that's going on(or not going on) I don't see how anyone could disagree that the moral and team spirit is really excellent.
  14. I don't see it to be honest, but that's football!
  15. Is he though? Recently when I saw him he looks to have put weight on, removing his quick step to get past players and I would say he is bang average championship standard, or probably lower than that
  16. Idah led the line against Portugal last night. Up against Diaz and Pepe. He was class. Would have been a been a brilliant signing. Worth at least 8 million though
  17. I would agree with that to be fair. It certainly helps on the route to making money! They are dreadful owners ya. They are paying for their mistakes though, as are we
  18. I was surprised he went for that low a figure, but where did Mowbray say £18 million? Not disputing it ,but when you say they were his exact words, there is surely a record of him saying it?
  19. You called them clueless chicken farmers. Which they aren't. They don't know football, but they clearly know business
  20. Who are worth over £4 billion
  21. It's now or never for some My biggest concern is the contracts though. It would be as good as a CF if a few were announced as extending during the international break....
  22. I take your points about ,somewhat, unknown potential, but its more consistency really. I think you are over hyping Graham, Conway and in particular Emnes though, especially under Coyle. Plus, for all his faults, Mowbray is a better manager than Coyle. We had awful dross in the team that season too. Way worse than what we have now. I don't think we have really many poor players now, like we did then, more so inconsistent ones or players who are young, but yet to show their potential, particularly regularly. Rothwell, Davenport or Buckley and Travis could potentially be a good midfield. Worth over £5 million, I would say Lenihan there or thereabouts , we would get there or thereabouts for Gallagher and Brereton probably more, profile with Chile helping there. Rothwell could be worth £10 million if he shows some level of consistency. Travis surely pushing there too if he gets down to what he's good at. Kaminski worth around £3 million now, if not more.
  23. You have a short memory. We have a solid defence for the first time since I don't know when, probably when Duffy was here and playing well. Was that with Hanley? Nyambe is a solid right back, who hopefully will push on this season and improve his offensive game. We have 2 young left backs, who importantly are our own players. Lenihan and Ayala possibly the best CB pairing since we were relegated. A very good and reliable keeper. Our Achilles heel has been out defence for years. Plenty of talent and potential in midfield, hopefully they push on. Issues upfront and inexcusable we didn't sign a CF, but we have some exciting looking wingers for the first time in ages and it's now or never for Gallagher as a CF. He scored goals for us there before in a dreadful team. Add in the much lauded youth players we have and I wouldn't say the squad is worth panicking about. Obviously the contract situation is worth worrying about.
  24. I think terrible is an over exaggeration. He won th championship with Sunderland and kept them in the PL. Was midtable with Ipswich, who are now in League 1. Hasn't done as well he would want to of course. I think he will do well yet, if given the chance at a club that fits well. Would definitely take him here.
  25. Actually the fact that a decent CF could have made a huge different is even more frustrating. Still though, there are some good free agents knocking about surely
