  1. I read the quotes where he spoke about building the club sensibly, I just don't recall the part where he told the owners to put their money back in their pocket. Can you please show us the quote where Mowbray said he stopped the owners from spending more money.
  2. Can anything be disused without throwing that line out? We all know what happened, but I don't see how it relates to the bizzare suggestion that Mowbray turned down a bigger transfer budget
  3. Would Mowbray not just take what was offered and not spend it if he didn't need to? This whole suggested scenario sounds unbelievable and silly.
  4. Sounds very like the start of a new game of Football manager. Personally I usually go for the pay off option with a medium sized budget. The feckers sack you if you go for the big one and aren't top practically all season!
  5. Oh my god, please stop. The 9.5 million was to entertain you, I included waghorn who hasn't signed. I didn't include Vydra who they will sell. You have your agenda, dress it up however you want, they bring in roughly £70 million in gate receipts more than us over a 10 year period. The figures are there for all to see. I'm not going through them with you again.
  6. If ever there was a post that warranted the return of the laughing reaction emojis!
  7. Yep, at an absolute minimum. Barring an incredible season. Has any team gone up in the last 5 seasons without spending a fortune? Fulham maybe. They seemed to be sensible enough mixing the odd cash signing with youths and loans. Cardiff I suppose too
  8. I class our home attendance as what it is anywhere I check, 12,000. Even if I entertain you and put us at 13-15, 000, it's still roughly double ours at 27,000. I didn't even include cup games. Waghorn 6.5 million, Dutch guy 3.0 million. So you reckon they will pay almost 9 million for Marriott?
  9. Benni Mcarthys late goal v arsenal in the FA Cup quarter final replay. I think it was the quarter anyway. I was watching the game with two arsenal supporting mates. Some buzz
  10. It's £6.9 million going off £20 per ticket. I did the calculation above. Over 10 years that is almost £70 million more than we make. Have they spent £70 million more than us in the last 10 seasons ins and outs considered? It's an enormous difference in revenue
  11. So you can add Marriott and Waghorn to the equation even though they haven't signed, but then go on to say I can't use Vydra in my equation as "looking to sell isn't selling"? mmm.... Can you at least acknowledge that their gate receipts alone give them £7 million more than us to start with per season?
  12. We are using the academy in fairness, we could have Raya, Nyambe, Travis all starting the first game of the season , with Nutall on the bench
  13. Ok, lets say £20 They get 15,000 more at a home game than us 15,000 x £20 = £300,000 £300,000 x 23 home games= £6.9 million They sold Weimann for 2.25 million and signed Jozefzoon for 3 million. I would imagine the difference in wages balanced that one. The rest of their signings have been loans. They are looking to sell Vydra and have 2 bids in at around 10 million.
  14. Well the evidence to date also suggests Spurs and Burnley have no money either so Realistically we can't match the top budgets in this division, Stoke spent £30 million on McLean, Afobe and Ince. We ain't buying our way out of the division, but we have things Stoke don't have like a set team ,with a great team spirit who are in the habit of winning considerably more games than we lose. We still need signings though, and time is pushing on, but there is no point in panicking yet. If the window closes without a minimum 1 striker and 1 winger on permanent deals, then I will say it has been an awful window.
  15. Those wondering how Derby escape FFP, take a look at this http://www.worldfootball.net/attendance/eng-championship-2017-2018/1/ Derby get an average of 27,000 fans per home game. Lets say a ticket costs £25 pounds, with us having gates of around 12,000 fans per week, that is £375,000 per week more than we make, £1.5 million per month.
  16. You have no idea at this point if it is even true. Then, what is a decent budget? What is the cut of point where a chairman needs to tell everyone a club doesn't have a decent budget? £4,999,999?
  17. That would be an extremely silly and unprofessional thing to say. Derby get an average of 27,000 fans per home game. Lets say a ticket costs £25 pounds, with us having gates of around 12,000 fans per week, that is £375,000 per week more than we make.
  18. Would that be our transfer budget? The absolute lunatics
  19. What standard would you put the MLS at? I reckon it's somewhere between league 1 and the championship. I only watch the odd game though. I used to watch it more around 5 years ago, around when Defoe was with Toronto
  20. They were winning 2-1 when they took Chapman off
  21. And two assists for some young go getter called Caddis, one to watch out for!
  22. Going off the twitter reports from the official Boro account, Chapman is having an outstanding game. My worst fear. We can forget about him now.
  23. Sam clucus cost swansea 20 million. Armstrong has a good England under age record. In today's market I don't think 3 million is a bad deal. Bristol City signed a centre half nobody has heard of off Charlton for 5 million
  24. If we sign Maddison it will go down as the best kept secret in the history of football! On Nixons comments, Im a bit annoyed that 3 million is seen as too much for Armstrong. I think it would be worth taking the chance. Bauer, well 2 million is too dear, so can't fault the club for that.
