  1. Ya, exactly. Hes not even the type of player we need. For bite in midfield we will be left relying on Johnson and Travis.
  2. It's unrealistic because any player with ambition and other options will look at our form last season, the fact the manager was somehow not sacked and is still here and the general circus like nature of the club and think why? We haven't challenged for the play off places since we were relegated from the PL. This strikes me as similiar to previous links like Adam Maher, than sound great, but are very unlikely to happen. More leaked to keep fans who don't know better happy.
  3. Left wing of the front 3?
  4. Ah ya, I know he went to Barca. I just think setting the bar at Duff's level would probably have been high enough for the young lad!
  5. I don't know why they didn't just go with the new Duff instead of the Irish Messi
  6. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19319455.blackburn-rovers-secure-extended-stay-starlet-zak-gilsenan/ Huge hype over here about this kid a few years ago. Interesting that he has ended up at Rovers He was literally labelled "the Irish Messi"
  7. Playing a different position than CF at League 1 level? Ya, I saw some of them.
  8. The Gauld link is similar to being linked to Adam Maher awhile back. Either made up or totally unrealistic. Just time wasting really. This is set up to be a dreadful transfer window I feel
  9. Surely this and the Tony Mowbray discussion threads should be merged?
  10. I would say that's an extremely optimistic take He has nowhere near the pace that AA has ,nor the shooting ability He will need to keep fit and step up his game from League 1 level to get anywhere near the squad, let alone replace AA
  11. It's inexcusable shite talk and actually insulting. Clown of a manager. Mediocre Mowbray literally lowering expectations to his level after getting his arse burnt for flying too close to the sun with garbage talk last season. What other club would this fly at?
  12. To be fair, you're replying to an unattributed quote from someone claiming to represent the views of their fans. Curtis has been in a few Ireland squads and I have to say, I haven't seen him stand out. However the views of Portsmouth fans currently is no doubt clouded by their failure to gain promotion. Last I heard last January was they really wanted him to stay. I wouldn't be going above a million though. Talks of 3 are pretty excessive.
  13. What evidence is this now? I hope you have shared it with the police The last sentence is some of the biggest drivel I have ever read on here
  14. Would have done that for Kean. I wouldn't recommend it 😂 definetely not in this instance
  15. You're just delaying the inevitable so
  16. On Nuttall, maybe in League 2. Mowbray got that one right. McBride should be given minutes in pre-season alright
  17. Exactly. It's funny how some think a new manager will have him doing what he does every 1 in 6 or 7 games currently on a weekly basis, when there is nothing to suggest that's the case, particularly as you allude to, his career to date has basically peaked here. At a top team as an impact sub would be the ideal move for him, but would be be happy playing that much?
  18. His record since suggests otherwise
  19. That was a different situation. They clearly had made the decsion to appoint a new manager then. Talk of u-turns now sounds like arse covering to me from people who didn't know anything concrete to begin with. Nixon is full of shit, but if he got an inkling of something happening he would have posted it. They didn't decide to sack him , then just not do it and decide to continue with him as manager I personally think barring us falling into the relegation places, they had decided that he was going to get to see out his deal to the end of the next season. To be honest,I would say the pandemic has led to the club going even further down their list of priorities. It's insignificant to them.
  20. I do wonder if the players just assumed like the rest of us that he was going to be sacked. As it's what would have happened at 99% of professional clubs on the run we were on. I'm not buying U-turn. I think the plan has always been to let him see out his contract. If it's waiting for a good candidate, I don't understand why they would keep him around now. It's pointless Looks like he is staying
  21. Well hopefully. I mean I would hold some glimmer of hope of thats something that could potentially happen if they had made one logical managerial appointment in their entire time owning the club.
