  1. We do that anyway but from what I read so do Bolton. It will be two teams hoofing it down the pitch and staying behind the ball. Should be a classic.
  2. That's a stretch! Paul McShane gifted us two pens against Reading. The 'carving' Forest open was impressive but it happened once or twice. Reed was instrumental in that but he was played out of position. The point still stands about the least number of crosses in the box and the most long balls in the division. We offer very little threat from out wide and are thus wholly reliant on Graham and Dack. When they were 'nullified' against SUFC as Wilder pointed out, we had nothing else.
  3. Not much to go on there beyond 'your opinion'. It's therefore not fact.
  4. Very harsh. Dack is a very intelligent footballer. You don't score the goals he does without having a good football brain. Is also stating the obvious to say he needs people around him who can give him the ball and when he does get it he needs people to pass it you. If there's no movement he's just going to get crowded out. He was shit on Wednesday, but there's barely a game he doesn't have a significant impact. To say he is 'lacking in brains' after a bad night is idiotic.
  5. https://www.skysports.com/football/blackburn-vs-sheff-utd/392669 Lowlights vid. Dreadful defending from Mulgrew for the 2nd.
  6. 2nd time you've asked this so hopefully someone can help. I can't if that helps!
  7. They were better all over the pitch, especially at the back. They were also more mobile in midfield and had more guile and goalscoring instinct up front.
  8. I know, you know, but nobody else does.
  9. Good point. And it also showed how much we miss Nyambe, SUFC had a field day down our right hand side and both goals came from there.
  10. I see what you did there.
  11. 57 points and 16th. Mowbray won't get us promoted playing the way he does at home. Ever. We will continue to do well away from Ewood.
  12. There's already a thread on this somewhere. Maybe they can be linked. Actually not really the same thing. As you were sir....
  13. I think I can certainly say that about our other home games. 4 goals in open play at home all season, 1 win, the least crosses and the most long balls. We are very one-dimensional. God help us if Graham gets injured.
  14. I agree they were very good. I just worry we will continue to struggle at home as we are very predictable as an attacking force.
  15. I think we are good away from home as our style of play suits not being the team with the onus on them to attack. We aren't very good at attacking, 4 goals from open play in 6 home games suggests that. Win on Saturday and we'll have the 3rd best away record in the league.
  16. In fairness he admitted that if as they gave him the money he was going to spend. It was an interview on RL.
  17. Rovers lose for the first time at home in a year and he's back!?
  18. It's very similar to the results and performances Mogga got last time when he was with us in the Championship. Home P7 W3 D3 L1 pts12 Away P8 W2 D4 L2 pts 10 Pretty much 1.5 points a game. Win at Bolton and we're bang on that again. Every game we won was by a single goal except Brentford away last game of the season when they'd gone on holiday and we won 3-1. Mogga is Steady Eddie. No frills football which will garner enough points to stay up. 19. Yeah, it was a bit shit. I'll hide my post so that yours I quoted can disappear. I chuckled at the amendment.
  20. A fair post. Not sure why Chaddy is trolling by using a laughing emoji in response. Poor do.
  21. SUFC - two crosses, two goals. Their major tactic was to overload the wings and get the ball in the box. It's simple but very effective. They were also constantly trying to feed balls in behind our full backs or work openings with an extra man so someone was free to cross it. They didn't float the crosses either like we do, they banged then in at head height or on the floor. Sharp seems to get a lot of his goals that way when you watch their highlights on the box. Our only major attacking threat seems to come from a long ball to Graham and then win the knock-downs. As a tactic that is effective when Graham is winning the battle. When he's not like last night we don't have a clue what to do. Dack is being well-marked in this league so his effectiveness as a playmaker is diluted. We send the occasional long diagonal to AA but then he just loses it so I'm not sure the purpose of that. Unfortunately Mowbray doesn't like wingers. He likes midfielders out wide who don't lose their shape and strikers out wide who lose the ball. Harsh, but very true.
  22. It's ok to win some at home too. ?
  23. I've had a look in the mirror and then a proper look and you're right. I've let myself go. On the plus side I know what a winger is. Tony doesn't. Swings and roundabouts.
