Early days for BB but he doesn't look particularly promising. He's understudy to Graham but I bet the Venksters will be expecting the next Jordan Rhodes and 20+ goals a season for that money. He's nowhere near.
-
Swap Magennis for Graham and he's described Rovers.
-
Yep, Jim gets a little deranged at times. Bruce has just been sacked because he's shit. Jim wants him at Rovers. Mowbray aint all that. He's created a great team spirit but he's limited as a coach. There's no imagination to our play or even crossing! However he deserves to be allowed to oversee us stabilising as a Championship club. 1 win in 6 at home is probably indicative of how it will go this season but as long as we stay up that's all that really matters.

Armstrong is a lazy little tosser who got absolutely bollocked by Mulgrew 2nd half for not running in behind. He needs dropping. Not a winger. Not his fault, Mowbray is a tactical minnow when it comes to attacking the opposition. Graham looked knackered and was well marshalled by some strong quick defenders. We looked very very average and it all stems from the fact Mowbray can't do attacking. How many crosses did we put in? Very few. How many did they Sheff Utd in? Bloody loads. Reed looked out of position and slow out wide against strong quick wing backs and Jack O'Donnell. 2nd goal was totally Moggas fault. Dack was playing right mid most of 2nd half (WTF!) and he was marking their left back at a corner on the edge of the box. Mowbray told him to get upfield, the ball was cleared and worked it's way back out to the player Dack was marking who had all the time in the world to put it on Sharpe's head. Dreadful. Mogga just turned away. Embarrassed hopefully. Utter shyte. Mowbray out-thought. Players out-coached. At least it was good to see Mulgrew back.

Pretty much sums it up. They could also pass the ball 10 yards which always helps. We pass it like a Sunday League team. If we can't hoof it to Graham and pick up the knock downs we seriously don't seem to know how to attack. We are poorly coached in that area of the pitch.

Sheff Utd play with overlapping centre-halves. What is this sorcery? https://www.sheffieldtelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/blades/i-m-expecting-a-tough-night-against-sheffield-united-says-blackburn-rovers-boss-tony-mowbray-ahead-of-blades-clash-at-ewood-park-1-9377225 Ex-Rover Jack O'Connell will be one of the marauding CH's. Tony's got the tactics truck out in response - "If you’ve got a centre half who’s overlapping his wing back and you lose the ball, then you’re potentially light at the back especially if you play two strikers because then it’s two v two"

https://www.sufc.co.uk/news/2018/october/blackburn-away-tickets/ Operation 'Fill The DE With Away Fans', led by the Steve 'ear to the ground' Waggott, seems to have hit the buffers once again. SUFC have now received a whopping 2,119 tickets after another 300 turned up at their gaff yesterday on request. Just another 6,000 to go....

speak for yourself!?

If he changes the formation at home to counter the opposition he is making a rodwell for his own back.
-
I think we'd be horribly exposed with those two in defence. Rodwell has been awful for years ( I can't actually believe the clamour for him based on a brief appearance where he gave away a penalty by mistiming his challenge and having to dangle a leg) Lets judge Rodwell after 20, 50 or 100 games, not 30 minutes.

Word up!
-
I think people are underestimating just what Lenihan brings to the team. He's had a rocky spell recently (the impetuousness will hopefully fade as he gets more experienced) but he holds that defence together. The number of blocks he makes for some reason goes unnoticed. He's Hendry-esque at times. He's also quick which means we don't have to defend on the edge of our own box like we did when Mulgrew and Downing play. Rodwell has only played 30 minutes at Champ level and has already given away a penalty. At that rate it will be three a match. At least Lenny only does 1 a game at present?

Completely irrelevant. It makes sense for every club to attract all young people, not just students.
-
It's both. Clubs are offering cheap tickets for the 18- 25 age bracket because they are the ones that stop going. Clubs have researched it. Other clubs let u12's in for free. Rovers do nowt. What the fans forum members do isn't exactly clear either. If they have raised these issues then what ideas have they put forward to a Board at Blackburn who are so obviously out of touch (and judging by the managers comments so is he)
-
...and the blatant pen he didn't give for the challenge on Dack. But apart from that he had a good game. To the tune of the Footloose classic 'Let's hear it for the boy':- Let's hear it for the ref, You got to give the ref a hand Lets hear for A Madley You know you gotta understand Maybe he's incompetent But he's a Forest one-man show whoa whoa whoa whoa Lets hear it for the ref
-
They had to make way for all the away teams that are filling the DE with their massive support.
-
I don't think Downing will play again. Mulgrew for PD if fit, and Williams for Bell. Beyond that I don't see many changes. 1-1 15,232

I'd like us to sign a central midfielder and play him on the wing.
-
That's what Souness did with Grabbi apparently.
-
What is?

I didn't realise Dean Henderson plays for Sheff Utd these days. I'm hoping he gets a delightful BBE reception midweek. And that he loses it again, obviously. I also hope the ref is a lot less shit than Saturday.

He was the 3rd highest in the team with assists last year. He isn't doing anything different this season. you've just taken the blinkers off?

Yes. Unless your putting crosses in Rudy is effectively useless. We don't put crosses in. Graham holds it up far better than Rudy ever did. No comparison.
