  1. Sacrilege! Sacre bleu!! You can't say that. They are moral victories, not draws. We should have won them all 6-0?
  2. 'Daring to blame'?. Don't be silly. In reality the fact was being stated that we have now drawn 4 out of our five home games (and the majority of Championship games since Mogga took over) . If you think that's just down to refs always having it in for us or the fact the opposition don't also make individual errors then that's fine. I think it's more to do with how we set up at home. If we set up differently and got more men forward we may have lost every game. Or we may have won a couple more. Who knows? Mowbray is pragmatic and sets out to be solid and stay in the game. He was the same in League 1. He doesn't set out to steamroller the opposition by getting a lot of men forward. Forest 1st goal today was a prime example of why he does that. We left a few gaps after one of the rare times we committed men forward and lost our shape and they went from one end to the other and scored a brilliant counter-attacking goal. Another reason why he won't be dropping Smallwood and Evans any time soon is because they operate to try and stop those counter-attacks happening. (yours and others giddy calls for Rothwell to play in the middle just because he looks ok with the ball at his feet won't be heard for quite a while yet I'd imagine barring injury or fatigue) So, yeah, the 'blame' can be laid at Mowbray's feet because he sets the team up in a certain way. Today we had 5 midfielders and only 1 (Dack) ever got beyond their defence. We don't have flying wingers either, we are just very solid and compact. I happen to think his approach is spot on in this division with the players we have. If we got more players forward we'd be exposing our defence which is far from solid. However, this approach will always lead to tight matches, hence the draws. I thought all this was fairly obvious to anyone who has watched us more than a few times at home.
  3. Hip injury according to Mowbray. it didn't sound too serious.
  4. Mowbray has drawn at lot of games in charge of Rovers at Championship level. It's a fact. PL5 W1 D4 at home this season. Only 2 teams have won less.
  5. https://www.nottinghampost.com/sport/football/football-news/aitor-karanka-delivers-verdict-nottingham-2057248 Colback calls our style 'direct' and 'percentages football'
  6. Wigan lost. That's always fun. Accy march on. Salford are top of the Conference. Chorley top of the Conference North
  7. ...and other clichés. Mowbray was of the opinion that the ref couldn't have seen the 2nd penalty as there were a crowd of bodies in the way. We also had a stonewall penalty turned down. The ref had a big impact on the game today. Where were you sat?
  8. In fairness that does look like a pen. I retract my rant. The ref was still a tw@t though?
  9. That's an utterly disgraceful decision from the ref for the 2nd pen. As Mogga pointed out in his interview afterwards the ref gave some very odd decisions form the off. Mogga was being polite, the ref was a blatant cheat. From that 1st Smallwood tackle where he won the ball and the ref gave a foul, to the exact same thing from a Forest player 2 minutes later where he let play continue you could tell he was a wrong 'un. He couldn't wait to give those penalties yet there was a blatant one on Dack where he was wrestled to the ground 2nd half that he was looking straight at and he waived it away. Absolute c0ck of a man, strutting round like he was on Strictly. AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! That aside it was a terrific performance from Rovers once the abomination of a 1st half Def performance from Lenny and Downing was put behind us. Downing did a job for us in League 1 when we had to replace Ward but even at that standard he sometimes struggled. He's nowhere near good enough for the Champ. He can win headers but that's about it. He looked like a pub player at times today. Forest were good, they moved the ball quickly and they had some quality lefties in their midfield. I thought Lolley was excellent and Colback good in the centre. Their first goal was a brilliant counter attack. I liked Karanka's Boro team and this lot seem a good outfit too. Top 6 at a minimum I'd guess. They were certainly a lot better than Villa and probably the best side to have come to Ewood so far this season. That said, we had them rattled. At 2-1 up we just needed that pass to AA to be a yard shorter and he was round Pantillimon (I actually thought AA bottled it and pulled out of the 50/50). Once we get up a head of steam and the crowd wakes up we can be hard to stop. How good is that to say after some of the shyte we've witnessed over the last 8 years!! We are just relentlessly competitive and we grind teams down. Defensively we have to improve. I think Bell is an accident waiting to happen. Not convinced at all. Lenny is young and impulsive but he holds that defence together at times. Nyambe was up against it with Lolley. Mogga wasn't happy he didn't signal he was injured at the same time he was taking Downing off. Nyambe got quite the lecture in the technical zone from Mogga after he was subbed! I though Smallwood was excellent again. Reed was good but clearly isn't a wide man. Bennett's diagonals to Graham and Dack 2nd half were excellent, as were Smallwoods. Evans was neat and tidy and continues to impress. Dack again was good but it's not even worth mentioning anymore. Even at 60% he'll score and his hold up play with his back to goal is Dalglish-esque. Graham worked like a trojan as usual. Rodders looked very assured at the back and his distribution was excellent for the most part. AA looked lively as did Rothwell. We just desperately lack a winger (Chapman). In the 1st half especially we looked so one paced. The other side of that is would we be as resilient? Regardless, one point off the play-offs and 5 off the top after 10 games is a brilliant start. We haven't looked out of our depths once this season at home. Full credit to Mogga, his staff and his players.
  10. He looks like he's just remembered he left the cooker on.
  11. Take that back now! They were Nottingham's Lennon & McCartney.
  12. So many straw men on here I feel I'm at a Wurzel Gummidge convention. No-one thinks we'll get 27k or even close but with the right price structure we could add quite a few to the attendances.
  13. "I like the Lancashire grounds for some reason, probably because it's like going back to 1983 in the town's" "Think they're greatest exports are Matt Derbyshire and Joe Garner which says a lot about a town who's 60% of its population has been on Jeremy Kyle" Mad bantz on the Florist forum.
  14. You've just contradicted yourself. I mention the Oxford game because they did lower prices. If those tickets had been priced at normal levels of £25 there wouldn't have been 27k anywhere near Ewood. Price is everything. You obviously didn't read my post above that was all about prices. The other reason for mentioning Oxford is that it is the reference point used by Mowbray to question attendances. Which takes us back to the lower prices...Keep up!
  15. All the research is out there. Young people don't attend football in the numbers they used to (it's one of the reasons for the lack of atmosphere in many grounds). The BBE is full of 40 year olds. If those young people were offered a £100 ticket (and the other deals Forest offer) it might put 2,000 on the gate. It certainly wouldn't lose any fans. £400 tickets for 22 year olds will though. I think Waggott and Mowbray think Blackburn is a tax haven for the rich.
  16. Not every 18-24 year old is at Uni. Not every 18-24 that turned up against Oxford and hasn't been back since (and there were thousands of them) is at Uni.
  17. Which is exactly the point. They have a far bigger fanbase, far bigger crowds yet are offering much cheaper tickets to their young fans. They aren't the only club doing it either. Shrewsbury and MK Dons have too.
  18. He looks a right scally on bass. Like a young Mani?
  19. That threads brilliant. Mercer offering Gav a meet up and a bit of fisty-cuffs?
  20. The same poster thinks they've moved the away fans to the BBE*. File under bellend. *Unless it's Waggott posting of his future intentions.
  21. …. and many also stop going to games when they get to their late teens/early 20's and other things start to take up their limited resources, at a time when Bank of Mum and Dad are no longer buying their ST's. This is why clubs (including tomorrows opponents Forest) are selling a ST for under 23's for £100. “Following consultation with various fan representatives, it also became apparent that making football more accessible for young supporters was crucial. As a result, the club is delighted to offer significant price decreases for 2018/19 Season Cards for fans from the age of four right through to the age of 23" - David Cook, Chief Commercial Officer at Forest. https://www.nottinghampost.com/sport/football/nottingham-forest-reveal-new-season-1262904 So what exactly are our fans representatives doing? Are they not listened to by the club or are they just as out of touch as Waggott and Co and see no reason to push cheaper tickets for younger fans? For comparison if you're under 24 at Forest you get a ST for £100. At Rovers you pay between £195 and £299 aged 18-21. Over 21 and your paying full price. In the best stand at Ewood at the age of 22-23 you're paying £499. At Forest it's £100!!!!!!!!! At Rovers aged 12-17 you pay between £90 and £110. At Forest it's £50. At Rovers aged 0-11 you pay between £60 and £75. At Forest it's £10. Under 4's are free at Forest I think. Above the age of 75 they are also reduced from the usual OAP price. At Rovers that doesn't happen. When NFFC can reduce prices by so much (because they have done their research) and they averaged 25K last season with a much bigger fanbase then WTF are Rovers playing at??? Answers on a postcard to Waggott and Mowbray c/o Ewood Park.
  22. Agnew isn't coming back is he?
