Championship 2018-19

16,300 on at PNE yesterday, with 4,100 coming from Bolton. Have Bolton brought that many to Rovers in recent years? -
That's pretty much what he said he'd do. His exact words, when talking about his philosophy after the Carlisle game, was he liked to play with 'two and a half attackers. Graham is 1, Armstrong is 1 and Dack is half'. I suppose it depends how he sees the ones he's just signed. If Rothwell plays in the '3' is he seen as a Bennett or an Armstrong? Same with Palmer and Brereton. As for today, depending on how Brizzle play, it will be interesting to see who plays as the striker. If they leave space behind it could be Brereton or Armstrong, if they have big grippers at the back who defend the edge of their area maybe Graham will start. Mowbray has said before he'll pick his attackers based on how the oppo defend. So at a guess, based on Brizzle coming out and attacking us and Dack possibly not being fit, I'd think he might go with:- Raya Nyambe Lenihan Mulgrew Bell Smallwood Evans Bennett Palmer Rothwell Armstrong

You seem to have come good again the last couple of games after a slowish (?) start to the season and a bit of a poor end to last season. Is that fair? Are you confident of the play-offs this season? Your 2-1 prediction was what I was going for too. I feel we may suffer our first defeat of the season tomorrow. One thing I would saythough is that we don't know when we're beaten and have a team spirit not seen at Ewood for a long time. A draw wouldn't surprise either. I'd be very surprised, and delighted, if we won. This will be a tough test for us.

WBA must have been offering him a decent wage if he 'open' to the move as was reported in the press.
-
Dack was £11m plus £4m add-ons by all accounts (probably dependant on WBA getting promoted). For a natural goalscorer who looks like he'll score whatever the level he plays that isn't a good deal for Rovers. Dack will only get better.

Transfer Window - Success or Failure

I'd agree that's exactly what Mowbray see's for Rodwell in the future. Mowbray likes a footballing CB and Rodwell is probably that. Disagree on your earlier point about Downing being 'able back-up'. I'd be terrified if we lost Lenihan and had a CB pairing of Mulgrew and Downing for any length of time. And Bennett's final ball has accounted for 2 winning goals. Palmers have accounted for nowt. Think on? -

Good for you. I thought Caddis, Whittingham, Samuel and Gladwin were a waste of money as soon as I saw them. I'm happy to trust in my own eyes.

I doubt Boro fans will care if he gets them promoted. Which he will. -
Why?

'Peter, will you accept being paid the majority of the rest of your existing contract to disappear' 'Yes Tony' Ruthless.

If we can keep Mulgrew and Lenihan fit until January then we'll have a had a very good summer window. We have good cover everywhere else. Another CB deal to be done in January (Bauer?)

I'm edging towards lion myself. He could be off to MIllwall. Or is a big fan of our mascot.

Mowbray wasn't very complimentary about him in the summer either. Said he'd be on the bench if he came back. But then he said AA wasn't top of his targets list then signed him the week after. Bitch is kray kray
