  1. turgid draw...? edit Gally to have a blinder? It's footy, anything can happen..... ....but one thing is certain, this board will be confident that the ref is a homer... 🙂
  2. As many on here knew, all going to usual MO. Overachieve with good manager early doors. Promises broken, no backing in January, manager leaves. Scapegoat provided by hierarchy, narrative firmly in place and believed –cf. snakes at Derby. Championship safety guaranteed, cost savings made, deflection from owners, SWAG bonus and rise intact. New manager in place, get behind the lads, possible play off place. To come as per usual:- Squad disenchantment, mid table finish, contracts not sorted, assets sold off, new narrative of promoting the young (ie we have sweet FA to spend), we will rebuild in the summer with a new plan. As always, do we have a rabbit to pull out of the hat (ie Sammy/Wharton) to keep the lights on? If not, I would predict just about surviving next season followed by relegation season after. And yes, I will be there. Classic madness 😉
  3. .....of course they should have had a penalty and should definitley have scored a third...
  4. Perhaps ferocious tackles were a compensation thing for being fairies.
  5. Anybody hear the Rovers fan 'Julie' on 606 a few minutes ago? Straight out of LET comments.
  6. 11th manager in 14 years (+ 5 caretaker spells in that time) So generally looking for a new manager in 1.27 years. IV has a 4 year contract 🙂
  7. After 6 min they should have been 1 up. After 26 min we should have been down to 10. After 67 min we should have been down to 9 and game over. They controlled most of the game. (circa 60/40) Our press was poor, half-hearted. Travis was very average today after a good season thus far. I thought big Mak was ineffective today. Their keeper had no saves to make. We had a couple of 10 minute spells where we looked threatening (particularly with Kargbo on the left) but never really had the quality when it mattered. I wonder if the players are saving it for Derby.
  8. Don't think it will happen but would love us to get into the playoffs/promotion to see what the hierarchy will do.
  9. That sounds like they have a plan...
  10. Jack Straw did his best but nobody is listening.
  11. Won’t get fooled again…oh hang on… Bread and circuses for the masses. New man in, short term enthusiasm, we’re rebuilding, we did the best we could given that JE left us prematurely, not our fault, yada, yada… Meanwhile, budget tightened, players sold, contracts not renewed, Raos still in situ… Will be interesting to see the depth of Ismael’s patience. Summer shenaningans will test it, January inertia could break it. Let’s see. Still, deserves a chance –good luck.
  12. Don't blame Lowe -never cut out for it. We all know where blame lies.
  13. Panic appointment incoming. Might get lucky, might not. OR Might still give it Lowe given that we shouldn't go down and JE can be blamed for a slide. Who knows in Waghail land?
  14. Of course he is. Survival in this league secure, money saved, bonus secure, majority of fans compliant. 🙂
  15. The last game refereed by Gavin Ward involving Rovers was on November 9th away to Cardiff. We won 3-1.
  16. It’s the stuff of messageboards. 😊
  17. Indeed. Cue this board fed up with watching us lose every week. wondered what the Raos might do and the hierarchy. (For the record I don’t think we will go up. )
  18. Ok so if we accept that, then it’s a tale of two shit shows. Only one pays 5k a week more. No brainer then 😊
  19. Playground stuff. And not the point I was making but then missing the point seems rife.
  20. When Derby go down there will be several here who will gloat like kids in the playground. Won’t change the shit show that we have here.
  21. Curious to know what would happen IF we get into playoffs and IF we got promoted. That is, in relation to the Rao’s, the money, the players and performance in the top league.
