  1. I am going to do a Mercer here. My £20 on a 0-0 but cash out around the 70 minute mark, if it is still scoreless. That should return around £80- £90. I am convinced Blackpool will come to frustrate, so hope they don't pick us off near the end and we lose it.
  2. I agree. We have seen with Armstrong, the premier league is a huge step up. If it is money only that matters, give it a go, but surely £1.5 million to stay with us, is enough for now and still have a choice a year down the line. I have to say if he does sign, it will be a feather in Broughton's cap, for a change.
  3. Ben is not good enough at this point to make an impression in top flight football. Whether it is in the prem or la Liga, he would be lucky to get between 5 and 10 goals. He will know that himself. If he can bank £1.5 million by staying another season, it may well make sense. One more 20 plus season, could give him the confidence and desire to test himself at a higher level, so maybe it’s the way to go.
  4. Much better second half and delighted with the points. Dolan outstanding today, everything else was turgid, but I don’t care. Beer in the chiller and tonight is a celebration. Did we need that!!!
  5. Horrible half. The optimistic 6 points form the two home games, is looking way wide of the mark at the minute.
  6. The next 3 games are certainly very big and if we are still in touch at the point, then I agree you do have a valid point. I would take 5 points now, but hope we can get 6 from the two home games and go to QPR with those points in the bag. I honestly think it is a big ask that though.
  7. Do a Mercer and get £5 on the correct score and you should get around 10 pints with you winning at those bargain prices. At least you won’t be bored with the 0-0 you will probably sleep through it.
  8. I agree. There is nothing wrong with being realistic and keeping a lid on our expectations. I hope like hell we can win our two home league games V Swansea and Blackpool. Do I expect us to win both though, probably not.
  9. That’s exactly what I am getting at. We should already have him in our ranks and therefore perhaps have an even better chance in those games. It’s looking highly likely that we won’t have him in for either of them. After that, will he be ready to hit the ground running, having sat out weeks of football? By the time this is sorted and he is match fit, we are more likely to be adrift of the play off places and therefore be picking up his big salary, to finish mid table. What’s the point in that?
  10. It is feeling a bit like the hangman this now, as in way too late. Hang the prisoner and then the solicitor can submit the appeal to clear his name after. It is becoming way to late to make it worthwhile.

  12. Happy with the point tonight. I thought we shaded the first half, but looked devoid of ideas in the second. Given that WBA had won their last 6 on the bounce at home and not conceded in those either, it’s a good result. Add into the mix, we were 1 down after 89 minutes and it’s almost a miracle point.
  13. Made theVAR sign too, after he changed his mind. Very strange
  14. Por el amor de dios = For the love of God, so not quite as strong as for fuck sake. The word chupacables, works better. The literal translation of that is cable sucker, but is a Spanish insult and as I’m sure people can imagine, the insinuation is strong.
  15. I watched The Who game on Rovers TV. I have to admit, I logged on with a bit of a heavy heart and expected a bit ofa mauling. First half I thought we played well and for me, defending from the front was good to see, especially with Dolan, putting the work in he did and making sure the Watford back line knew he was there. The goal was well worth cheering and the way Dack kept he head, to do what he did was delightful. Second half was a different tale and although Watford were wasteful, our backline held out well. Once the equalizer went in, the dreaded feeling came back and I will as grateful to finish with a point, in the end. My man of the match was Carter. If the plan is the improve players and sell them on, then potentially he is one who would fit the bill right now. Hopefully that’s not the plan though and we start to move forward again soon. Im looking forward to getting Adam Wharton back and if we stay injury free and create a bit more, we might still sneak into the top six.
  16. Watford: Transfer ins and outs - January 2023 - Sports Mole
  17. The eight new signings could make a difference though.
  18. Imagine if you apply that to City. Do they go back all them years and adjust all their results and promote and relegate teams, based on City losing all their games, due to them cheating? This is a hell of a mess and it will be interesting to see the outcome, come what may. Common sense needs to prevail somehow, but who knows how.
  19. If they were worried about being sued by other clubs, surely they would have just kept quiet if this was something minor. I can't imagine for one minute, they would bring it out into the open, unless it was something major. Imagine if we found out that two of Wigan's signings who played on Monday has not been properly completed and could then claim two extra points. The game is going to be played out in the courts, if we aren't careful not on the pitch, with the way this week and last week have gone.
  20. According to some posts on Twitter, it is being checked and double checked. Certain people are suggesting that's a sign it could be good news, but I am not too sure.
  21. Does anyone know if Adam Wharton is likely to feature? I hear he is injures, but there seems to be no mention anywhere of how he is progressing.
