  1. Al least we learned our lessons and have appointed competent people ever since, who don't make such silly mistakes, accidentally on purpose. Oh wait!!!
  2. I think any real football fan of the Claret persuasion, would also celebrate a point in those circumstances. If my memory serves me correctly, they did the same at Old Trafford last season. This was definitely a point gained not two dropped and had the shoe been on the other foot, I would have been disappointed at only drawing, when one up inside 10 minutes, playing 10 men and having spent 10 times the amount that they had. As RS has stated, celebrate away, as it was a thoroughly deserved point.
  3. From what I’ve seen and from what’s going on, I agree. If they are a few points from the top 2 come January and given the unrest, I think there will be a mass exodus at that point and making the play offs will then be tough. Lots thought Kompany was top dog, but it could turn out that he has been the worst thing to happen to them for quite some time.
  4. I can’t see them making the top six, let alone winning it.
  5. It was given for offside, so blatantly wrong.
  6. I was thinking exactly that myself.
  7. I would imagine they will be hovering around mid table by the time the game at Ewood comes around. They do not look like a top six said and a bit more unrest, will have set in by then. We were second best for long periods today, especially after the red, but the never threatened us. Young Beck looks the part and very happy with the grit and determination today. We could have nicked it at the end, but happy with a point and very happy with the start to the season too.
  8. It’s his chance to endear himself to the fans today. I think the jury is still out with plenty and he would turn that instantly with a win in this one. He will know that of course, so let’s hope he gets the fired up properly and gives us a performance to be proud of.
  9. Thanks. Looks like I’m okay in Spain today. Nerves already kicked in. COYB
  10. Yes, they took him to the cleaners.
  11. 5 or 6, who cares. We suddenly look dangerous from them and with the man mountain in the box, we scare the opposition to death. Big Mak fries the opposition, as he chips in with a double. Headline for next week please, as he becomes my favorite signing, for a while. I will make a meal of it for a while if he does.
  12. Strange how this is a statement from the club. I have never heard a club speak before, so what’s really meant is no one is prepared to put their name to such bullshit.
  13. It’s a very simple question to ask and answer, which will hopefully be put to him, by the next group who hold a meeting with him. Can the owners send funds at an amount of their choosing, before the next court hearing? Yes or no?
  14. Here is the beat the drop winner that is free to enter. Both Paddy and Betfair are running this now and with the right strategy, you can come up trumps. BTD.pdf
  15. Start em young. Rovers forever.
  16. I have attached the page from the accounts that is being referred to here, to add a bit more clarity (hopefully) Accounts BRFC Page.pdf
  17. From what Crimpshine has posted above, the are being stopped from funding, not refusing to. All a bit confusing at the minute, but hopefully the club will clarify, but of course, we need to ensure they do so in an honest and open way, if that is possible. Good luck to WATR tomorrow and hopefully they can clear this up, once and for all.
  18. So, they do not need to double up on any payment made, it is just the default position that they find themselves in, should they not use the funds for the stated purpose. Sounds pretty straight forward to me then, they have decide they don't want to fund us. I understand that a WATR trust meeting is to take place tomorrow, whereby a vote will take place regarding a plan of action. There is plenty of ammunition here now.
  19. I suppose they key question is whether they are likely to lose the bond or not. Given it’s at least 9 months so far, since their last payment, it is looking like they think they will.
  20. The ex Rovers Telegraph reporter, penning an article on the court hearing, but the current one hasn’t bothered. Perhaps he believes that it doesn’t affect Rovers, as Waggott has stated, but at least we now know, there is definitely no impediment.
  21. You are right. There are people, who again say they support the club, who don’t know about the court case.
  22. I guess what Brian P is checking will confirm this. Bond or guarantee could be the difference between them paying into an account or simply guaranteeing future funds.
  23. It’s no different to them letting a Rothwell, or Brereton, walk for nothing. A few million turning into dust over night, so there is something deeper at play here, in my view.
