  1. It’s been lack lustre, but we have managed to get away with a couple of shaky moments at the back. We look dangerous with Cantwell on the ball, in particular when he switches to the right. We could easily sneak this and wouldn’t be too surprised to see JRC hit the target. He’s had the two best chances and has teamed up well with Cantwell twice.
  2. It’s a fair point and I hope he has learned his lesson from it. He was a fish out of water at full back.
  3. I know a dis lek sic person, who died when he chocked on his own vimto. He thought he had bought a house of ill repute too, but was found to have bought a warehouse.
  4. I hate speeling mistaks. 🙂
  5. Why not start with our best attacking options and go all out for a couple of goals. The best form of defence is attack and although, I understand the need for caution in some fixtures, surely the last two were not those that we needed to be as cautious as we were. Let the opposition worry about us, not the other way round.
  6. I took my Grandson to his first match when he was six. He lives and goes school in Preston, so it was important to make sure he became a Rovers fan, which he now is. We went in Jack’s Kitchen and into the Jack Walker stand for the match. We were very happy with that. I was proud to be there with my son too, so three generations of Rovers fans at the match together. Whatever part of the ground you choose I’m sure you will both enjoy it and hope it’s one of many for you both. PS we did our first away game last year when he was 9. Stoke away in early December. He still talks about it now and the 0-3 score line, helped it become a great first away trip together.
  7. Is that FFP up the swannythen?
  8. I suppose you could take some comfort in this. Would everyone on here take 15 points from the next 9 games right now? For what it’s worth, I have serious doubts about Eustace, but so far this season, he has out performed based on results and points, in my opinion.
  9. Coventry 3 Rovers 0 tells you that predicting results based on the current league table, is a folly. I spoke to my Burnley supporting business partner yesterday, who said Plymouth gave a good account of themselves on Tuesday and thinks, we are in for a tough game. I would take a point now.
  10. As always in the championship, he had one look at it. I was watching it on TV and found it hard to judge, first time around. The reaction of our players made me convinced the red was coming, but it goes to show what a hard task it is to get things right.
  11. I thought it was a red, but I’m sure Arbitro will clear it up. Happy that it was mind, as that gave us the impetus to start the second half strong and win a he match.
  12. There are routine saves and good saves, in almost every game. When I pass back is miss kicked by the goal keeper and it rolls into the net, that's an error and not a bad save and as we all know this has happened to Pears.
  13. That’s a bit cheesy. I hope Yuki, Chips in with another doubleand we take away all 3 points. Maybe Dolan will get one too and do his usual flip after. Its, food for thought, that we can be fast out of the blocks and ensure we drink in the atmosphere of a full away end. We will know the results of the other games, by the time we play and could Ketchup Sunderland and West Brom and finish the weekend as top dogs. If we show the hunger and desire, this early in the season, it’s a good sign and we could just drive through this division after all.
  14. Yes, paid £180 for the season and it isn't on there.
  15. I think it’s been mentioned before, but what’s the sell on amount?
  16. Stick that on the Burnley thread, as according to them, we are going to need 11 keepers for the fixture in January.
  17. I believe he played with Pele there.
  18. He is a nice guy. He lived across the road from my brother until recently and got to know him.
  19. United would have been a few titles short and maybe one of them, would have gone to us.
  20. Al least we learned our lessons and have appointed competent people ever since, who don't make such silly mistakes, accidentally on purpose. Oh wait!!!
  21. I think any real football fan of the Claret persuasion, would also celebrate a point in those circumstances. If my memory serves me correctly, they did the same at Old Trafford last season. This was definitely a point gained not two dropped and had the shoe been on the other foot, I would have been disappointed at only drawing, when one up inside 10 minutes, playing 10 men and having spent 10 times the amount that they had. As RS has stated, celebrate away, as it was a thoroughly deserved point.
  22. From what I’ve seen and from what’s going on, I agree. If they are a few points from the top 2 come January and given the unrest, I think there will be a mass exodus at that point and making the play offs will then be tough. Lots thought Kompany was top dog, but it could turn out that he has been the worst thing to happen to them for quite some time.
  23. I can’t see them making the top six, let alone winning it.
