  1. Is it irony that we sign a huge striker and we are now on page 4 4 2?
  2. It would be a real battle to sign him.
  3. So was Justin Fashanu, but he did okay.
  4. I am pretty sure the club is not an accounting tool. There is something deeper than that and the fact that they are under investigation, adds fuel to this, in my opinion. What Philip said about a big fat zero, is very interesting and may prove to be their undoing at the hearing In August, given their reason for pumping funds in, is to protect their investment
  5. The share price reflects the underlying value of the assets I think and when you look deep inside the club, that’s worryingly low.
  6. This suggestion that the £200m spent, therefore means, that it’s classed as a £200 million asset is quite frankly nonsense. I know there are a couple of accountants post on here and I’m sure they will confirm that it is the book value, not what’s spent, on an asset that is it’s book value. You can liken it to a company vehicle, as that will show as a written down asset in a set of company accounts each year, as most car values depreciate. Buy a new vehicle at £30K and sell it after 3 years at £10k. The day before it sells, it will be an asset of £10k not £30K plus the cost of maintaining it.
  7. Money laundering is a very complex often very well hidden criminal act. It would not surprise me in the slightest, if there has been dialogue between the Indian and UK authorities. As already stated, this has been seriously underplayed by certain people inside the club and if this is investigated properly, there will be serious consequences, if what could have happened is proven to be the case.
  8. I am pretty certain that it has been pointed out that the real value of the club is at best 25% of what they have invested so far. In fact, I think a pivotal statement that they have made, which could in turn mean that they lose the bond, is that they needed to send the 2 amounts last year, to protect their investment. This is at best, very miss leading. The court and the Indian authorities have been advised that the true value of BRFC is south of £50m
  9. It is just about typical that and sums up the distain in which they hold the fans. Hopefully they mentioned it in the fans forum meeting and it will come out in those minutes. It is on a smaller scale granted, but it is wrong that it takes fans yet again, to uncover things, like it did with the STC.
  10. They could be very vindictive and do that, but if things are so serious in India, that they are banned form sending funds to the UK and especially, with what was uncovered in the past for the likes of Glen Mullan and co, hopefully the football authorities and possibly even the legal system in the UK will be hot on their heels, so they may choose not to go down that route.
  11. I think they key here, is the accountants, as if they are permanently banned form sending funds, they cannot underwrite the losses going forward and the business is then trading in an insolvent manner.
  12. Let's face it, if you were going through the issues, that they are for what appears to be no benefit to them, you would be off. I know they have made very strange decisions ever since day one, but surely even they must now know, it is game over. I suspect it is Balaji, that is not willing to sell, who by all accounts, is the strangest one amongst them.
  13. I truly believe that the messages coming out of Ewood, distancing the club from this court hearing, are a huge smokescreen and have led some people to believe it won’t affect us. The owners are under investigation for very serious criminal matters and the Indian authorities, want their pound of flesh. As we have seen with posts on here, ED have been strongly opposed to them being allowed to send further funds and I am convinced the extra time they have had, since the two adjournments, will have given them more ammunition to ensure they are permanently banned from sending funds abroad. It will not go down too well, if they are now aware that the funds leave India to fund a project it in the UK that has been described as an investment, which in reality is just a pit that money disappears into and becomes at best becomes worth around 75% less than the amount invested, so this is anything but the foregone conclusion that we are being told it is. Add to that the potential for Venky’s to lose the £15m sat in the bond and I think even the owners will have to admit defeat. Make no mistake this court hearing, is potentially one of the most important events in the history of the club, despite the narrative, coming out of Ewood.
  14. I think he should have stayed at home yesterday.
  15. Is he that Australian Goalkeeper? 🙂
  16. This one? Expert offers Yuki Oyashi insight amid Blackburn interest | Lancashire Telegraph
  17. Blackburn Rovers register interest in forward Yuki Ohashi | Lancashire Telegraph
  18. £4.50 for a pint of Cruzcampo. It puts my 1 Euro20 (about 95P) at my local all day every day into perspective.
  19. It is probably only going to happen, on the understanding that the Szmodics transfer goes ahead, so they had to wait until that was tied up, hence it being banded about now.
  20. Were the key questions asked and answered, about the no impediment to funding and why the court hearing, does not affect Rovers?
