It would be no surprise to see him becoming a target for the big boys, very soon. We are fortunate that he is a fan and a local lad. That said, if a big bid came in, then the owners might want to cash in.

The Bolton V Ipswich game was called off due to no safety certificate being in place. Ken Anderson was up to all sorts of tricks at the time and despite being the owner, he was pleading poverty. Staff not being paid and all sorts of other bills being held back, but he was taking money himself and paying his son too.

I can and I will be very disappointed if he doesn't start.

If the players are as up for it, as the fans, we should certainly have a chance. Given the local lads, especially the Wharton brothers, it should make it an even more special occasion. It already has me feeling the butterflies, just reading the last few posts, so bring it on and let's get the BR EXIT EMENT done.

Absolutely and I am not suggesting for one minute the same will happen with Vale, but we need to have a bit of patience and give him a chance. So far, we have seen plenty come through the system and perform well in the first team. hopefully we have another, as I love nothing more than seeing these young lads make it.

I'm not suggesting he will be anything like, but many will remember similar comments about Simon Garner, before he broke into the team properly. We came very close to selling him and it was only him insisting that he stayed and fought for a place that stopped the sale going through. It is amazing how some things turn out, given a bit of patience.

Just happy to see that one out. Brilliant goal from Adam Wharton, who looks like he has some real promise. Kaminski awesome and my nails are a bit short. Happy to celebrate this tonight though and happy to see the league table. -

Of course, but I prefer Rovers TV and other foreign channels. -

I thought the Sky pundits were a bit OTT on it and seemed anti Rovers for some reason, most of the night. -

Gallagher pointed to his back after the second, as if to say, I am a number 9. -

Coming into this now. Wigan started like they gave a point to prove, but will run out of steam. -
The Worst Match You’ve Ever Seen…
lraC replied to Herbie6590's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Rovers 0- Port Vale 0 first game back in the championship, after our first relegation from the premier league. Also remember a 3-0 defeat first game of the season at Fratton Park a few years back. I took the wife for a holiday on the south coast, knowing I had two tickets for the match, on the last day of our holiday. She has only just forgiven me. -
Jon Dahl Tomasson - Officially No Longer Our Head Coach

In most cases, I would argue it is a self - preservation exercise, as in it buys me more time that I otherwise might have. I wonder how many managers, would state that they need X number of seasons to achieve the goals that the interviewer asks them what they can achieve and what they have to offer? -

Great for the feel good factor that. The penalty seemed to settle us down, as I thought we were nervous before that. Morton was much better today and I thought Szmodics was much improved too. Great to see him score. Also that Brereton looked sharp again and Travis had a far better game too. League looks right and despite our short comings, we are in the mix. -

Abandon this messing around at the back and we might look a bit better. My heart was in my mouth all night, including when Hirst stepped up to take the pen. Not good enough that, but we are still in a decent position in the league. -

Thats the only downside to Rovers TV and paying for the season. Any game being shown live anywhere is not included, so it means paying extra for it. That said, the season pass is still decent value, and I am happy to pay for it and still pay for a ticket to go, when I am in the UK. -
People still seem worried about what could come out about the takeover then?

Thank goodness for the points. I will take a poor performance and a win any time, over a good one and a defeat. We were poor and can hardly say as fans that it was an enjoyable match. Hope we can turn in a similar display to the Blackpool game, on Tuesday and I think we need to give Adam Wharton his head, as he should have either held on to the shirt, or at least made the bench, after the Blackpool game. Maybe the Bristol City defeat cost him his place, but others were worse in that match.

Weird feelings of football thread

Rovers were the only team to start with 12 men, when the Turkish Delight played for us. -

Interesting especially that Nayambe didn’t get a signing on fee. Players certainly take a chance when turning down the offer of a new deal down and clearly they sometimes backfire. -

Brilliant news really and as already stated, it shows the previous regime, were missing a trick. If the manager was advising non playing staff to move on, then perhaps he was also reluctant to persuade players that Ewood was the place for them. Thank goodness that’s now in the past. -

Interesting that and sounds very promising. Does anyone know what the new compensation rules are? Perhaps that’s a step in the right direction too. -
Today it was bullies V Faries and the bullies won. It’s a shame we played they way we did, as Luton are a one trick pony and we simply played into their hands. Very poor today, all round.
