  1. It is only on a channel based in Israel, which is an encrypted channel. https://www.liveonsat.com/img/team/england4.gif Blackburn Rovers v Nottingham Forest https://www.liveonsat.com/img/team/england.gif https://www.liveonsat.com/img/icon/live3.png ST: 19:45 Sport 1 Israel HD
  2. The trigger would be pulled, waaaaaaaay before that was allowed to happen.
  3. Looks all day long like a thumping this. We are around 2/1 to lose by more than one goal, so £50 on that takes you on a night out to drown your sorrows. Pretty nailed on that in my view.
  4. As I have previously said, give the hod carrier the job of building the wall and you will see a disaster. We simply do not have the players to do what the manger wants, so he needs to accept that and change it.
  5. I would accept that I was nothing like the real deal and go back to art school for some more training.
  6. The good teams play it out from the back, as they have players to do that. I could paint my bedroom walls, but would not try to emulate Rembrandt.
  7. Went to the game with my son and grandson today, as a Christmas treat, before I fly back to Spain on Monday. It turned into a disaster. I can only assume Adam Wharton in injured, as he has to be a starter and although hindsight is a wonderful thing, surely he was better than any of the midfield starters. It must be an opposing managers dream to see us piss about with it at that back, as we simply can’t do it and just offer up chance after chance. Three taken today and it could have been more. Despite the first two handed on a plate, we were still in it when Dack got the goal, but continued to do what we could all see was suicidal. It’s a huge disappointment losing heavily against the two local rivals and where we go from here is anyones guess.
  8. If a player comes off the pitch in the derby, who has rattled the supporters, let alone the team, as much as he did, so much so that a mild-mannered supporter would gladly lump him, then he has performed that role. Burnley had one and we didn't and that tells a story. Furthermore, if that is the case in March, they will pummel us again.
  9. Hedges. Think Barnes needed to cop one early on to show him if he was prepared to dish some, so where we. Sadly no one was up to it.
  10. Well I can’t and I suspect many more on here can’t either.
  11. Personally they day I feel that way, is the day I will stop watching football. Go and read a few Bill Shankly quotes and see what passion is all about. Its a lot more important than that.
  12. I have to say the two brothers should have been on there from the off. They have both shown they have more than enough ability to be in the team and for the very fact that they are local lads and fans, that’s got to be the absolute decider. The passion was missing from today and the efforts required to at least show the fans that they cared, was simply not there. I will be hurting for a few weeks now and would like to think the players are too, but sadly they did not show that this was the case today. As for the second goal, we had just got away with a self inflicted chance and we go and do exactly the same thing with the tip tap football from the back. One final thing, if Barnes had done that to my team mate after his goal, he would have been out of the return fixture, as I would have twated him into the middle of next year.
  13. I will second that. My job means that I see wage slips for people I deal with, but I have a duty to keep things confidential too. Without saying who and when, I have seen wage slips and contracts for certain players, at Rovers and other clubs.
  14. It’s a good idea that. I am watching from Spain, but will be thinking of those who have gone to the game. Hope everyone behaves and does the club proud.
  15. Sounds like a good watch. I will take a look when I get the chance.
  16. I have a feeling it has something to do with the Sponsors. All league games are available either on TV or streaming. I bought a season ticket from Rovers TV as I am abroad most of the time. The £140 seems decent value.
  17. Interesting that this is coming out now. It feels like perfect timing, but is there something sinister going on. The comment from the ex players last night about homosexuality being a problem of the mind again seemed like very strange timing. I can’t see it happening but imagine a boycott taking place at this stage.
  18. I don’t think there is any coverage tonight. Sky sports news usually show the goals as they go in.
  19. I don’t go up there much to be honest. I live in a little traditional Spanish town called Almoradi. It’s very quiet and no problems with the traffic. Its mainly summer when you have traffic problems in Torrevieja, especially round the big shopping complex at La Zenia. My mate has bought a holiday home near there and he flies over this week. He is a season ticket holder at Ewood, so a big fan and will be nice to watch the game with him.
  20. It’s been on my mind for weeks this, as I am sure is the case with lots of Rovers fans. I am quite happy to give up on the Hammers game, which for me is a one off, as if Rovers are playing tiddlywinks I want us to win. I am a huge Adam Wharton fan and with him and Scot being local lads, think both should start. I am convinced Adam will shine and can see him getting man of the match and hope like hell, he scores the winner and does a jig in front of the longside. I will be watching from Torrevieja with a mate and know it is going to be a tense affair for us and will be happy to share what this game means, if there are any Spanish locals around who want to join us. Given that my business partner is a Dingle and my Rovers mad son works for us, Monday should be interesting on the Banter stakes. My head tells me differently, but my heart says 1-2 with young Adam scoring the winner close enough to full time, to ensure my heart is given a rest from the rapid beating it has had to endure, during our recent narrow victories when parking the bus has been the order of the day. Whatever happens, I hope all Rovers fans have a safe trip and everyone at the game remembers we are all passionate fans of our proud clubs and none of the passion spills over into anything stupid. Enjoy the day and let’s show the football world how big this derby really is.
