  1. When does it become available on RoversTV - as can't see it there.
  2. Totally agree about cover for Nyambe - obviously in an ideal world that would be JRC - but two injury prone players fighting for the same place will only end one way. The other side of this - is that Nyambe is a reasonable alternative for centre half (if we had an injury/suspension crisis) - so having decent cover for Nyambe is needed for more than one reason IMO
  3. Did we not offer to buy him in the summer ? So yes pursued - but Aberdeen did have the opportunity to cash in.
  4. If Nyambe actually scores - I might start to believe this could be our season 😁
  5. This will be another interesting test. The Championship is ridiculous - if you look closely at our run key moments have gone our way - Birmingham hitting the bar (at the time would have made it 1--1), Bournemouth missing a chance when clean through (again would have made it 1-1 at the time),, PNE denied a good penalty shout that would have made it 1-1. Overall our performances have been excellent - but the fine margins are going our way at the moment. I think we need to keep our feet on the ground, enjoy the run while it lasts - and pray it lasts long enough to pull off an unlikely promotion.
  6. TBH - with the uncertainty around Covid and the impact on footballs finances - they would be best advised to sign even a short term contract - unless of course they can sign a cast iron pre-contract agreement in January with another team. I would be interested how they would be placed if they got an injury prior to the end of their contracts ? I am not saying it would be any different - but given the impact of Covid - I do have some sympathy for the people making the contracts decisions at Rovers at the moment.
  7. Looks like Sheff Utds scouting department knew what they were looking for when they put in an offer for him a couple of years back 🙂
  8. Though I would agree that Gallagher would be down my pecking order of contract resigns - we can't surely have a go at them for not tie players down to contracts - and then moan when they do.
  9. I was just pointing out the reality - and something that the money men in the club will have to consider. Even as a fan - I can see how the injury to Dack just prior to his supposed big money move has had an impact on the club finances.
  10. Diaz may not be the only that leaves in the next window - will be a real test for the owners and their belief in TM and the current squad.
  11. If he picked up an injury he wouldn't hold his value - look at Dack. I have mixed feelings - as I still can't make my mind up whether we are seeing the real Diaz - or whether this is just a purple patch of form. Prior to this season he had done nothing suggest that he could score at almost a goal a game. His rise - that started during lockdown pt1 - has been nothing short of remarkable. Prior to this we would have struggled to get anywhere near the £7m we paid let alone the now reported £25m.
  12. This is my fear - and I am sure the ill timed injury to Dack is at the back of the CEO's mind. Having said that - if we sell for £20m - I hope we agree a large sell on fee. IF he gets a good start at Brighton and his confidence continues to grow - he will be worth double what they pay even with only half a season in the Premiership. Having said that - if Brighton's interest is genuine it might start a bidding war - with (hopefully) Newcastle's mega rich owners showing an interest,
  13. For me BBD is a tough one - where I have sympathy for management - absolutely nobody could have foreseen what has happened this season. He improved last season - but this year is unbelievable given what went before. Lenihan - all noises from people in the know was that he would sign a new contract - don't know what has happened since. Rothwell - taken him a while to start fulfilling his potential. Even now he can be a frustrating player. But let's not forget he ran down his contract at Oxford as well. Nyambe - though I like him - people do have mixed feelings on him - and he is still far from the complete right back. Let's not forget - until this season (from memory) only Lenihan has attracted any transfer interest (where we would get a fee). Also - we have a wage bill well in excess of our income. Go back to prior to this season - other than Lenihan - which player assets would we have been protecting by giving out wages we couldn't afford ?
  14. The guys on Radio Lancs were positively drooling over his performance today - their clear MOM
  15. Gotta say the best transfer swap we have ever done has to be swapping Brereton for Diaz - we definitely got the better player 🤣
  16. Are we really treading water - or slowly drowning ? We have a fan base in terminal decline, huge debts and a manager who is quickly alienating large parts of the fan base. I would also argue that his recent comments and the biggest home defeat in our history are a million miles away from a steady hand. I appreciate there is a possibility of "be careful what you wish for" - but the club is going stale, the owners are going nowhere - at least a change of manager might reignite the fan base and possibly the players.
  17. We didn't even give them a good game for the first 5 minutes
  18. Just read this about Ayala "As I keep saying, I’m not the doctor, I’m not the physio. We’ll wait and see how quickly he recovers." I may be old fashioned - but surely a good manager would speak to his Physio/Doctor so he knows this information ? Surely this is part of team preparation and forward planning to know this information ?
  19. His words are shocking - the majority of fans stayed behind the team far more than they deserved on Wednesday. TM has had far more support from the fans at Ewood than he deserves - and yet he is basically questioning their loyalty because some have dared to question him or his tactics. Somebody needs to make him sit through 90 minutes of him driving his team on - and see if he can stay awake - several times on Wednesday he actually turned his back on them. This is the worst spin interview since the days of Kean. It is such a shame - he actually did a reasonable job (up to last season where he failed miserably) - but is just past his sell by date. All his talk of integrity etc is being shown to be a sham. Having said that - I wouldn't walk out of my job without a pay-off - and it would appear that is what TM is aiming for.
