Ogashi - fuck me that was dreadful attempt (clean through 1 on 1 - missed the target by a mile) -

Starting 11 i can understand - Hedges has been decent, Litherland did well and Henriksson looked ok further forward. The bench on the other hand is baffling... -
My first instinct when i saw the Alebiosu thread was bumped was "how bad is the injury" 🫣

Based on his cameo against Millwall and what i have seen earlier i wonder if shifting him to being a "back to goal" striker might be the answer. I agree he seems to have some playing ability but is way off being abel to play the "10" role in the championship (imo of course) -
Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas

I suspect there are people who will say that a boycott is only a success if NOBODY attends at all and that is improbable if not impossible. In my opinion a boycott will be a success if the following happens: 1 - it is a noticeable reduction in attendance 2 - it makes mainstream media beyond a token "and this is Bob who is protesting against the owners - cue interview" -
The Aynsley Pears depreciation thread.
Roverthechimp replied to Neal's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Pears has done ok so far - better than feared but hasn’t done enough to warrant not bringing Toth back. The good thing is that the need to rush Toth back has been avoided - get him fit, include him in a match squad once (for routine) and then put him back in. Well done Pears - be ready in case we need you again should be the mantra -

What I want and what will happen are different things. Of course I want a functioning leadership at the club with appropriate powers. Just not likely IMO - more interested if Pasha is “on the naughty step” and if we will see a short term return to the faux stability whilst the heat dissipates or if the timing is purely coincidental -

Anyone "know" (I accept nobody may have a definitiv 100% confirmation) if Pashas India jaunt was scheduled or if it was more of a spontaneous summons? My "grasping at straws" hope is that the public scrutiny after the abandoned games circus has knocked his credibility "this week". Coupled with Pickering being played, Gueye being dropped, Tavares not coming on and VI actually mentioning telephone contact (though without context or timeline) my Christmas hope is that we might see Pasha recede to the shadows for a while and maybe even a football related patsy (sorry CEO) installed which tends to lead to better short term decisions for about 10 months (or longer if the head coach is sufficiently mediocre to never threaten the playoffs) -

If word is spread that some work has been done without them having to actually do anything then they (Pasha/Gestede or whoever the hell is this weeks "head of operations") will be absolutely bloomin delighted! My reaction is that it was cutting up - IF any work has been done then i would suggest it would have been minor vertical aeration with knives. Looked a bit similar to a golf course after that operation and it will cut up more in the short term but will only help with draining providing there isn't a compacted layer underneath or the actual drains are insufficient/partially blocked Cost - a few quid or 2 places in a VIP box for a local greenkeeper -

The current leadership are well known for being sensible and considering the consequences of offloading experienced players without adequate replacements. No worries 🤪 -

I'd like a fit Leonard on the bench to come on when Gudjohnsen or Ohashi tire (or start in their absence). Only problem is that, for whatever reason, whilst at Rovers i don't remember him being fit any length of time and never really got up to speed with "senior" football from what i saw on the few occasions he played. Tough one - don't think Posh would have gone along with a deal in our favour that would have allowed him to come back here if he did well. -

Key for me was leaving Cantwell on (Tronstad too but i wasn't worried that he wouldn't make 90 minutes). Hedges off the bench as opposed to De Neve was also important whilst Henriksson did his bit by not being offside... -

Possibly unfair and not particularly charitable to fellow human beings (who have moved to a madhouse club in a foreign country) but am I the only one that would swap De Neve and Gueye for a working drainage system? -
