  1. These aren’t great but they are really organised defensively, gunna be tough to get back here now. Got all the ball but doing absolutely nothing with it.
  2. EDIT: Ignore, don’t know how I’ve managed to quote myself and post it 😂
  3. Sparks was saying he could remember many mistakes Williams has made since he’s been here in response to me saying Williams hasn’t done much wrong this season, so I was saying I bet the majority of those mistakes were when he was at left back because I don’t think he’s a bad centre half at all, I never said anything about Williams playing left back this season? 😂
  4. For arguments sake I’ll say the majority of those mistakes will have been when he was at left back, I’ve never denied that he was absolutely useless at left back but I’ll stand by my view that he’s a solid centre half option, I’m not saying he’s our best centre half but I don’t think he’s been to bad when he’s played this season, Lenihan hasn’t covered himself in glory at all and Ayala I’m not fully convinced by just yet, what I will give you credit for Sparks is being adamant that Wharton should have been getting more game time, me personally I wasn’t sure he was ready but he was growing with every game before his injury which is a huge shame. Lenihan and Ayala really need to raise there game now, fingers crossed they can form some sort of partnership cos it looks like they’re all we’ve got for the foreseeable!
  5. I kind of see what he’s saying about Mowbray not fancying Williams but at the same time I do recall that Williams has had fair few injuries since he’s been at the club, he didn’t look anywhere near fully fit in the Bristol and Norwich games as well. He’s been our best centre back this season so it’s a shame if he’s out long term, I can’t remember him making an error that’s directly led to a goal, he got caught out by Pukki on Saturday and let him run through on goal but he didn’t score on that occasion, that’s the only error that comes to mind where as Lenihan has made 5 or 6 errors at least that have led to the opposition scoring already this season. Not convinced by Ayala yet either, hopefully him and Lenihan can improve for playing more games together because if they don’t we won’t be getting anywhere near the top six.
  6. Don’t always agree with you Sparks but I can’t not do on this! Buckley needs a loan move and a good few months on the weights and protein shakes.
  7. I was willing to give Douglas a chance, nothing against him he’s shown at times he’s got a decent left peg on him but age and time catches up with you and his legs are gone for me, send him back in Jan and bring someone else in, neither him or Bell are good enough for us.
  8. Oh my god I can’t believe what I’ve just seen!! How on earth have we won that?! Possibly the worst performance I’ve seen from us under Mowbray full stop and I don’t think that’s an exaggeration, unbelievable Jeff what a win.
  9. I was just going to post the exact same, a few people on here had a go at me for saying that so I’m hoping tonight the lad proves me wrong. I hope he does!
  10. Someone give this man a knighthood please 😂😂
  11. I mean there’s a couple of names there who’d probably come here but some of them jesus stay off the strong stuff pal I think your head might actually be gone 😂
  12. Our shining light today, what a talent this boy is. Get in there COME ON
  13. You can’t think it’s that bad when you’re tipping us to win every week 😂
  14. Douglas the new Mulgrew, in the team for his set pieces rather than his defensive ability. There’s been 3 or 4 times they’ve attacked down the right and Douglas hasn’t even been in position to defend, and when he is in position he’s getting turned inside out.... Even game on the whole but we’ve been far to sloppy at times, giving the ball away far to much. Elliott has looked dangerous everytime he’s got on the ball, if we are to get back in this match then give him the ball. Next goal is crucial.
  15. I’m not saying Lenihan isn’t a better defender but you can’t disagree that at the start of this season when those two were our centre back pairing for the first few games that it was Lenihan who was making mistakes and having poor games, whereas Del didn’t do much wrong at all.
  16. I don’t think that’s a wild claim, at the start of the season when Del and Darragh were alongside each other Williams was the better of the two and it was Lenihan making mistakes.
  17. I am still quite optimistic we can get in the top six this season and I definitely do feel as a side we have progressed somewhat and are certainly playing a better style of football for sure, that being said though it’s a results business and the main judge of progression is your position in the league table come may, it’s all good when you play sides and there fans or manager say “they’re the best team we’ve faced this season” but if we aren’t sat in the top six come May comments like that mean f**k all... I like Mowbray as a person, he’s just a decent bloke really isn’t he and I’d love nothing more than for him to be the man who gets us back in the prem, but with the money we’ve spent and the time he’s had in the job, if we can’t make the top six this season then I think he’s done. Long way to go yet but for now I’m definitely keeping the faith in this team and the manager, best squad we’ve had in years and playing the best football I’ve seen in years, let’s hope the RESULTS bear fruit. COYB
  18. Don’t think it would have made a difference to the result if Lenihan played tonight ahead of Williams, Williams clearly not fully fit but still didn’t do much wrong and certainly wasn’t at fault for the goal, we lost the game tonight by not creating enough clear cut chances in the final third, they’ve had one real golden chance and scored it.
  19. Why? Williams was useless at left back but has become a solid centre back option, we know Williams at left back doesn’t work so it would be a waste of time trying that again. I just hope with a few more games under his belt that Douglas gets going for us, tonight wasn’t one of his better nights but I’ve seen enough from him so far to think he will do a job for us this season.
  20. Well as always, when a win would put us into the top six we don’t get the job done, gutting. Wouldn’t be to harsh on the team or the manager though, I don’t think we played badly at all but when you don’t take your chances there’s always a risk that you can get sucker punched. Gutted.
  21. Disgusting words to say about one of your own players.
  22. Especially with the way that ref was throwing cards out.
  23. I’m not sure “backs against the wall” and “Amari’ Bell” should ever be used in the same sentence ? I think Douglas was probably feeling the injury that kept him out of Wednesdays game so with us being down to 10 men TM probably didn’t want to risk Douglas aggravating that injury, I might be wrong though and you may well be right!
  24. You’re a strange one aren’t you mate..
  25. Unbelievable. Get the f**k in. It’s only a point but feels like a win!
