Mowbrays time here is done, but there have been games this season where we’ve played some really good football, the sort of football that you simply can’t play on the pitch at Ewood at the minute and we don’t have the physicality in the team to go more direct which makes it worse. I can’t believe how bad we’ve let it get, we aren’t a great side but that pitch is doing us no favours whatsoever. Is it not possible to play our home games at a different ground for the rest of the season? We need a new pitch and a new manager ASAP

Warnock has always been one of those managers who is disliked by fans of other clubs because of his passion on a match day and his outspokenness, but at most clubs he’s been even after he has left the fans at said club think very highly of him. You can’t knock his managerial record, the Branthwaite incident annoyed me at the time and was out of order from Warnock but that was obviously in the heat of the moment and he was annoyed about the result and concerned about the well-being of his player. Warnock is a top manager, criminal we didn’t appoint him when we appointed Coyle, you only have to look at what he did at Cardiff around that time and what happened to us to know how criminal a decision it was.

As you say, not quite on the cusp of the playoffs yet which means we will more than likely win this game before going on the standard 4 game winless run. Still though I’m not going to go as far as Mercer and call this a home banker, Luton are a solid team and this will be a tough game, one I think we’ll edge though.
