I’m not overly keen on the idea of Johnson as manager, I’d rather someone who’s more proven, BUT like you say, no harm him having it till the end of the season, our seasons finished anyway so if he comes in now and shows some promise he can get the job, if not then he can move on at the end of the season, I have no problem with that.

Exactly, if Mowbray was sacked tomorrow Chaddy would say he’s disappointed but then the day after he’d have forgot about it and be naming every possible successor to the job available so he could then score some points when said person gets appointed. Have you ever seen arsenal fan tv? There’s a guy on there called Ty who regardless of results or player performance he blindly backs the manager and blindly backs the players. He once blamed a home defeat to Watford on the weather. Chaddy is our Ty, god love him.

Well they sat back for 90 minutes against us at there place after nicking a goal and we never looked like scoring other than Douglas hitting the post! If they do the same tomorrow I don’t know how we’ll break them down. A license to print it most definitely is not my friend. Remember kids, always gamble responsibly and all that. -

Haha good old Roberts, you never knew where the ball was going to go after it left his boot. Still though, that goal away at Bolton in the last minute was class and he flicked in the equaliser at Old Trafford against Chelsea in the FA Cup Semi we should have won. Good memories! -

Jason Lowe was great at running, he just couldn’t pass or shoot and never put a tackle in 😂😂 -
Why don’t you just answer the question? What would have to happen for you to think his time is up Chads? If we were to finish this season in 12th-15th would you be thinking that’s it? I’m interested to know what you think. For me I’d sack him now he’s taken us as far as he can I think, I’d love to be proven wrong but I just can’t see it.

And Bielsa at Crawley. Doesn’t change anything though, Mowbrays time is up. -

I’d love Ainsworth, Blackburn lad, done miracles at Wycombe. -

Well that was shit. At least we won’t have the cup to distract us from getting that 12th placed finish. End the season now and sack the manager while you’re at it. -

He should have saved it no doubt about that but he can’t solely be blamed when there man has just been allowed to run the length of the River Thames unchallenged. -

How has he been allowed to run that far unchallenged wow. Pears really Poor there as well. -
So you forgive Venkys for ruining this club for years to come? We’ve lost 10,000 fans who have fell out of love with football and will probably never return full time again regardless of what league we’re in. They’ve give Mowbray a bit of cash to spend, fair play to them for that, or maybe more fool them because he’s spent that cash and still has us miles away from finishing in the top six. I wouldn’t lose any sleep if Mowbray was to go tomorrow and don’t get me started on the Chicken Farmers, they ruined the club I love.

I can’t believe it’s now yet another season where the top six is already a big ask and we’re sat plodding along in mid-table, I’ve had enough of it. I barely celebrated tonight when we scored and I just knew they’d end up nicking it, I’m bored and done with the Mowbray era, we need fresh ideas and a hungry determined manager to breathe some life back into the club, players and fans alike. Tony is clearly a decent bloke and I do think he’s done some good here but every cycle runs it’s course and there’s no doubt he’s taken us as far as he can. I wouldn’t want Johnson in charge either, we need someone from outside the club to bring their own backroom staff in and get rid of your Lowes and your Bensons who have been part of the coaching staff furniture for to long, it has to be a fresh start all round. Slaven Bilic, Nigel Pearson, Marco Silva, Mark Hughes, Darren Moore, Kenny Jackett, Lee Bowyer, Ian Holloway.. In that order of preference I’d take any of those guys instead of Mowbray right now and there’s more I could have named, says a lot when Holloway has just left a struggling league two Grimsby! I’d even give John Coleman from Accy a chance and I’m not even joking!

This is the first time I’ve said this since he’s been here but I have no choice now. MOWBRAY OUT.
-
Lose this and he’s done for me. Must win game.

Dack isn’t a creator, I mean he could probably do a job in that sort of role but I completely agree with you, the guy scores goals for fun in that 10 role! Interesting to see where he slots back into the side.

Stoke City v Rovers (a) Sat. 19th Dec. 3pm
Butty replied to darrenrover's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Who cares about 65% possession when you’re not winning games, it’s a results business and for as much as we had the ball today Stoke were comfortable sitting back bar a bit of late pressure which is to be expected. Really frustrating, pressure is on the manager now. -
