I’m not content but I don’t give players abuse who don’t deserve it like you do, Williams and Downing for example. I wouldn’t have Evans anywhere near my starting eleven and when everyone’s fit he won’t be starting games.

Over reaction, Downing isn’t going to start every week, but having him in the squad and also having someone of his experience around the squad is a positive for us, he showed last season he still has quality. The first two chances Armstrong had he struck well enough, that last one he’s got to do better and show a bit of composure to either take it round the keeper and draw the foul or dink it over with some convinction, I don’t know what he did there. Another half where we’ve had most of the ball and probably played better, but it’s a results business and if the scoreline stays this way the pressure will be on Tony.

I actually feel sorry for him now, he came on away at Coventry against 10 men and was still out wide and Elliott was moved to centre forward. Granted when Gallagher came on he scored but if you can’t give him a go in his proper position against 10 men then just put him in the reserves and sell him at the next opportunity, he has zero attributes that suit playing that wide role. Seeing him trying to run at players and beat them is hard to watch, I actually think he could do a job coming on in his proper position when he’s needed but if you’re gunna play him on the wing then just don’t bother Tony.

There last two games have been postponed, every team will have players who get it at some point, if there’s a large amount then the game will be postponed, if it’s just one or two players then games will go ahead and you’ll have to do without them. That’s how it’s going to be this season.
