Sounds good to me! Addition in bold (imo).

Tbf the two things Evans has going for him are: 1. He performs well for NI. 2. He's never played under a proper manager here before Mowbray. Maybe Mowbray is the man to get him right, esp' with him seemingly sorting Graham and Mulgrew's fitness this season.
-
There are certainly aspects he can improve, and transfers for us need to be good. But I still say about 1/3 good signings is about right (possibly better) as an average. Even Fergus made some real clangers.

Club should look to grab some initiative in rewarding our remarkable away support. Could be done by implementing our own 'Twenty's Plenty' campaign to fans who went to 5 or more away games: Whatever the cost of a ticket to an away game, anything over £20 is covered by the club.
-
So about as good as most managers...
-
Because they've also delivered Dack, Smallwood, Bell, Armstrong and arguably Chapman... Not to mention Samuel delivered us 9 points on his own.
-
Could still shove away fans uo in the Gods most games and lay Rovers flags on the DE lower tier

Asked a scottish mate about McGeouch, and TM's seeming attempt to do 3 at the back: 'McGeouch will suit that style only if the wing backs go forward, giving him a choice of wings, Dack, or strikers to aim for. BUT whichever choice he picks, they'll get the ball where they want it. Also not afraid to roam forward (formerly played much further up the pitch) but has settled into the 'play dictator' role just ahead of the defence. Suspect it's helped with his fitness issues.' Sounds good to me, like a poor man's Tugay! Only 25 too. Wonder if Mulgrew pulled a string or two here (if we've actually signed him)?
-
Personally feel that 'having it to prove' with the talent he has can only be good for whoever his club turns out to be. Injuries are a worry BUT, we just got a full season out of Mulgrew and Graham who are notorious sicknotes. If it's a reasonable fee (say, what we paid for Dack) then I'd go for it.

This guy is a dream. Real common sense, no BS.
-
Noises out of the Disabled Supporters do that TM is going hell for leather to bring in Chapman.
-
Alex Song without a club, age 30. Maybe worth a go?

Bump from wayyyy back on this mb. Can anyone recall a less hyped World Cup? Nobody cares about this one and there's no advertising around it. Strange one.
-
On the Whittingham conundrum (try saying that quickly 5 times), I note a few thought he and Travis complemented each other well vs Charlton. COULD be worth trying, esp as he'd be hard to shift imo.

Of the current squad: Raya - KEEP, starting keeper. Leutwiler - indifferent. Adequate backup, could have better. Fisher - KEEP, promote to backup keeper, or loan out, or keep in u23s in higher division. Nyambe - KEEP, improved a lot this season, his shirt to lose at RB. Caddis - OUT Lenihan - KEEP, good aggression. Mulgrew - KEEP, Captain fantastic. Downing - Adequate backup or promote youth in his stead. Ward - OUT. Wharton - Unsure. Hart - OUT. Williams - KEEP, adequate backup at CB or LB. Bell - KEEP, his shirt to lose at LB. Feeney - OUT. Payne - Decent backup for Dack or as a passer from deep. Bennett - KEEP, Captain mkII. Smallwood - KEEP, his shirt to lose at CM. Evans - OUT, promote Travis in his stead. Whittingham - OUT. Gladwin - OUT. Dack - KEEP. Conway - I would rather promote a youth player in his stead, but ok as a bench player. Chapman - KEEP if poss, unbelievable potential. Antonsson - Indifferent. Graham - KEEP for one more season. Armstrong - KEEP versatile forward. Samuel - OUT, promote Butterworth in his stead. Nuttall - KEEP but needs to put more muscle on. Promote from u23s: Travis, Tomlinson, Butterworth, one of the cbs. IN (as minimum): A hard nut cb, a target man up front, a passer from deep in midfield. In reality, reckon we'll need 6/7 signings/loans but unsure where to specify some positions.

Suddenly looks impressive actually.
-
Trouble is, we had that game vs Birmingham when ale and piss rained down on our home fans. Not against having them in the God's, but need to make sure our own are protected too.
-
So you think individual youth players might get through? Youth players who have won their league and taken the place of Man Utd in the league above? Personally think Hardcastle is due a chance in midfield, and Travis in competition for RB with Nyambe at least.
-
Absolutely! I support Rovers because of Duff, Dunn and Jansen. My cousin because of Pedersen. Young lad across the road because of Rhodes. Weirdly the first name I ever asked for on my shirt instead of MIKEY was Emerton when he first moved here! I think Bennett will be a big factor in young fans enjoying this season too, waiting to mimic his fist pumps.

If Villa don't beat Newcastle, then we only have to draw our last game vs West Brom to win! If they lose vs Newcastle, we've won! Shame about tonight but COYB.
-
I'll try to get down on Monday Think (well, hope) TM will look more favourably on playing younger players when promotion/winning the league is more mathematically certain, personally.
-
Yes... which are numbers lower than 10. Credit to him, he's fantastic. But to say he's world class would put him in the same bracket as Raul, Ronaldo, Puskas, or DiStefano. Even Shearer sadly never QUITE got into that bracket, but he's the nearest thing we had. Kane will certainly get there if he keeps it up though against a variety of opponents.
-
That doesn't make him World Class. Doing that every season for at least 10 years will.

I liked his withering put down to John Oliver (whom I also like). Oliver: In your multiverse theory, is it possible there's a Universe where I'm smarter than you? Hawking: Yes, and also one where you are funny.
