  1. He's been a very good defender from Jan until the most recent international break.
  2. That looks interesting although I'd possibly view it as Trav at the back of the diamond, with Wharton and Morton (hopefully) given freedom to roam forward. What I DO like is we could bring Dack into this formation if necessary (not today due to injury).
  3. Looks good to me? It's either 4-3-1-2 with Sammie behind Breo and Dolan or 4-3-3 with Sammie in the middle, Breo left, Dolan right?
  4. I genuinely think (for all of JDTs faults) we're in a much better position than I expected last July. We haven't yet (but still could) taken advantage of our position, but I can accept that given the limitations of our squad. We have been exceptionally lucky that we have a superb academy backing up and assimilating into our first team. Thomas, a goalscorer, a bruiser up front, a proper midfielder, a LB, a GK (assuming one of Pears/Kaminski leaves) is my wishlist for the summer.
  5. Changed the game far too late. Next game needs to be: Pears JRC Carter Hyam Pickering Travis A.Wharton Thomas Hedges Dolan Szmodics
  6. It's buzzing in the JW Lower. Club have really put the effort in for the kids on a bank holiday. Great to see and they get credit from me. Just hope they keep doing it.
  7. (Follow up with less good Ray Charles joke)
  8. Everyone if Wharton knuckles down.
  9. Ideally: Rovers win Swansea beat Cov Luton beat/draw Millwall QPR beat PNE Rotherham beat West Brom Warnock works his magic against Watford Sunderland balls up vs Hull.
  10. I wonder how Szmodics would do as a runner in front of Dack?
  11. My interpretation also.
  12. I feel like if he had already signed, it would've been announced from Villarreal's end.
  13. Dack is well worth keeping IF we're intending on getting a brute striker that knocks balls down (as well as scoring) for players like Dack/Szmodics/Dolan to latch on to.
  14. Shared it myself on FB too. Oooft, got me right in the feels.
  15. He also kept us IN the Cup vs Norwich and Leicester. As well as plenty of point-saving saves in the league since January.
  16. I admired his determination to rescue and rehome dogs across the country.
  17. A Qashqai on the wing? Need his bulk up front. The agility of the i10 and speed of the Tesla would complement each other on opposite wings.
  18. Tbf, your car has 50-odd litres of fuel, whereas the hyundai only has about 35L, so ofc it needs filling up more. Getting 70+ MPG is great going btw.
  19. It doesn't cost you £25/week. I live in your town and I work in Walton le Dale. I drive a Hyundai i10 to work, and that costs me about a tank and a bit (minimum £50) per week. So unless you're driving something even smaller and getting fuel for less than £1/litre, you're paying more than £25/week in fuel.
  20. Definitely reasonable, especially compared against other clubs up and down the pyramid, and an improvement on the last few years. But I do think if we've any ambitions of growing the fanbase and enticing people back to Ewood, we need to come down further. We shouldn't be considering the 'value of the product' (as the Ewood chair shufflers like to say) imo, as we won't be enticing fans of other clubs. The only way to entice fans to Ewood on a ST basis is to offer real value for money. That's why I'll keep banging the drum for £10-15/game STs, which would also allow us to entice more regular walk-ons (Twenty's Plenty) without short-changing any STHs.
  21. Be fair though. £379 is our CHEAPEST ST. It should be our most expensive. Cheaper STs (imo, all lower tiers) should be £250. If STs were £250-£350, you'd have at least a dozen people that I know of who can commit to going. That's a dozen extra pies and 24 extra pints bought in the ground every game too. Plus it opens up the chance to commit money for about eight chn to go too. Plus mars bars and cokes for each. That's about 5k per season (probably more if I did the maths) the club aren't allowing into their own coffers, and that's just people I know, who all WANT to go. Another 20 people in the ground too.
  22. I actually think he'd be BETTER suited in a softer league like the PL.
  23. Some small credit for reducing prices. But still far too expensive imo. £379 should be our most expensive ticket, not our cheapest. I'll reiterate, the last ST pre-Venkys cost £199 and we sold 19,000 of them. I think £230-£345 (£10-15 per game) is a suitable price-range for football at Ewood Park.
