  1. @aletheia Gueye, Ohashi and Cantwell are already worth a lot more than we paid for them and it’s very early days. They came from spending a small amount, from selling a player we paid £3m for approx 3x that. This is what these clubs “not the duff ones” as you put it do. All the stuff about Venkys wealth has nothing to do with that. Do you want rid or do you want them to bankroll us to an even higher level of investment, because the figures that OOJW used are as close to reality as I would understand.
  2. We want rid of them, why would you want them to put more money in?
  3. From my perspective, I’d rather never see a “venky penny” at Ewood again. To me it just would take a serious amount of mental gymnastics and lack of memory to expect anything but the minimum from them, and at the time of writing they’ve got a fantastic court based excuse (constantly being kicked down the road) I expect us to invest something this month, hopefully on something that has resale / investment value and not more 30+ year olds and/or loans, but this notion that we’ve got 40m to “reinvest” when we’ve traditionally lost money every season (horrendous turnover to wage ratio) is not realistic. Judging by a lot of the posts I’ve read here this month, I think many people have forgotten that the season before we’d managed to start selling some of our assets for decent money, we used a loop hole to sell the training ground… To keep the lights on!
  4. @J*B gave me the heads up to put some of the merchandise that I and a group, over in Oswaldtwistle have had commissioned for Ossy Fest. Firstly, Ossy Fest is something we started to try and boost revenue for our pubs, help out original bands and also put all the proceeds into local school music lessons, check us out; https://ossyfest.co.uk For this years festival, a very old friend of mine who started this; https://www.rocknrollfootballshirts.co.uk wanted to get involved and designed three shirts for “Ossy Fest” and three individual acts, two are rovers themed, hence why I thought it might be worth asking BRFCS if they’d help and they kindly said yes. The rovers home kit is based on a local band “The Ruby Tuesdays” take a look at their latest video, a really energetic indie sound, lovely lads. The rovers away is based on a local band called “The Rafters”, some of you will likely know Nat from the Ewood WMC! Absolute tour de force of the local punk scene. There is also an Accy Stanley one, the rest of our advert is here on Facebook; https://www.facebook.com/share/vCNWxrEvBvgxYKe9/?mibextid=WC7FNe Finally - please come and watch our bands in Ossy over the weekend of the 9/10/11th of August, I have attached a lineup. £3 on door every pub. JB
  5. I’ve asked for that in previous windows and to be honest it’s probably what works for me whilst reading other bits of the site on lurk mode. Be nice if @unleaded can still post in that one too 😂
  6. Deserves a chance. Will see how things turn out but he’s playing a very thin hand.
  7. I think we all agree, I just think you’ve missed the point a few others made, which goes along the lines that not every reader enjoys the same gang of posters posting their own dire conclusions in every active thread, every other day. No matter how likely they are. On actual rumours, Someone in the local said we’d been linked to a French u21, and I might as well give up looking here!
  8. I’m guilty of calling the likes of benson and Lowe “bombproof” but I would be happy for Damo to stay.
  9. Couldn’t call a few Waggott and Venkys out chants a protest… Funnily enough the main set of boo boys - Stoke lads after being 2-0. They never recovered
  10. Can I add - we made Stoke look bad. We let them have the ball and defended our box. We used our 6 foot 4 forward when we needed an out ball. Best I’ve felt in Ewood WMC post game for months.
  11. “He might not play” is not exactly a comparable message board comment, to something along the lines of “here comes mrs Desai to pocket the cash” @Silas btw no idea what you mean about creating your own echo. If you think my issues with BRFCS are down to lack of being “agreed with”, then you simply aren’t reading.
  12. Yes it is true. This website, under previous management, didn't have a “tone” set out through admin / moderators. Now it does. When the owner of the site is suggesting that the BBC lancs football pundits, Andy Bayes, the LET and many others, are under some sort of paid agreement to toe the “Venky party line”…. That would’ve never happened before. Conspiratorial nonsense. Also the very definition of the term Black Hole - what does it mean? A gap - an inexplicable one, in space and time. @RoverCanada’s post should be required reading prior to anyone posting about funding, because every single penny the club has wasted in 13 years, is in text for all to see. I can hold my hand up with everyone else when asked how pissed off I am at the way this set of charlatans run the club. That’s with actual facts, not made up bullshit that literally demeans the real issues involved.
  13. You guys got what you wanted, an echo chamber and a place to vent. The days of “the bigger picture” being on BRFCS are long gone in my opinion. Also, can you point me to the evidence of asset stripping and a financial black hole where our money dissapears? For over a decade, nobody has ever proven that, yet it’s all over every page
  14. Thing is rev, you’re a perfect example of why today will likely be the last time I sign in until the next window. Have fun gesticulating and predicting, I’m sure there’s about 3 people here who enjoy it.
  15. Impressive how we managed to convince all those players to play for free and all the loaning clubs to let us borrow for nothing.
  16. Only problem with that is, ours has @K-Hodin 😂
  17. What about those who would like to “view it on a granular level and get into more of the minutiae” but cannot be arsed sifting through the repetitive, factually incorrect and cathartic bellyaching?
  18. Relegation at this point would also be JDT’s fault. Let’s not forget that the palpable poor mood, is partly down to 1 win in 10 in the league, and a “head coach” blaming all and sundry bar his inability to “coach” us into defending set pieces.
  19. Since Henry Winter doesn’t post here, or 95% of those who I talk to at football, and about football, don’t post here; I would say that there is no special “knowledge” on BRFCS anymore. If you want the black and white answer; Wider fanbase and world
  20. You can’t compare this place to anywhere else, because all of the most angry, most reactive, most short sighted, most regularly dismissive of others and arrogant, the most likely to be finger pointing and blaming other fans… They’re already here! Moderates have been chased out in droves.
  21. Good. I know some might find it hard to understand and perhaps I’m talking bollox, but the less money they’re putting in, the less we’re relying on them, the closer we are to never hearing about the clowns in Pune ever again.
  22. You mean wages above revenue. A wage is still spending money on players. They’ve put nearly 10x the amount they bought the club for. I really hate this ownership, but it confuses me as to why people don’t just stick to “factual” reasons to berate them such as; 1. Absence / ignorance of importance of quality leadership above the team and coaching staff 2. Lack of a genuine long term plan communicated with fans 3. Prices which contribute to a 1/2 empty ground every week 4. Using non football experienced “directors” in shadows or as a go between, to stick oars in on family whims. There are hundreds of these with evidence to rationalise too, but we’re never going to help our argument through making stuff up about taking money out, black holes or mythical running costs.
  23. Btw guys, this black hole people always talk about. It’s called wages above revenue.
