  1. Wasting your breath, to a few of these posters, relegation to league 1, ffp, turnover, attendance, covid and previous debt means nothing and is simply an excuse.
  2. Can’t be Rothwells replacement because Hedges actually has a left foot! That’s the one thing that’s stood out in the clips, he seems to have a real cracking left peg, freekicks and corners too.
  3. Yea, shit man management turned a league one signing into a hot property, Do you ever think before speaking?
  4. We lose someone for 5 months and have no funds to replace? Id say it would take someone with “no brain” to suggest it’s an easy decision.
  5. Tony did say he wouldn’t be going unless the replacements are agreed. Fingers crossed there’s something in the pipeline
  6. You’d stick 3m in a blender and a player in the u23s then I guess! It’s no easy scenario or solution. The cause is Super Snake Rothwell though, and nobody else
  7. So he’d deliberately screw the season to save his job? Conspiracy nonsense IMO
  8. That question fails to acknowledge the power footballers / agents have.
  9. Sorry JHR but to let JR off the hook for wanting to go to a rival at this point is, in my opinion utter tripe.
  10. Sorry, but I can’t understand any of this, sounds ridiculous to me. Mowbray, signing him, building him up in training and helping his development to the point he is in (an actual JR quote from less than a month ago) “the form of his life”… is flushing his head down the toilet? Manipulating opinion? People have eyes pal, they make their own mind up on his performances. 27 year old, has the first consistent spell of his career at this level and he wants to leave? He is the problem.
  11. You’ve said all I wanted to say. Bridges burned with me. What an absolute wanker
  12. I’m not sure if this is allowed; Joe Rothwell can basically “fuck off” as far as I’m concerned. If we where mid table, bottom of league etc - at least the argument is based on level. The worst part is he can do whatever he wants for free in 5 months. It’s not even as if we’re in a position to demand anything. Ridiculous turn of events.
  13. This is the “why can’t we force people to sign contracts” thread😃
  14. I still shudder when I remember Jal called him a “dud” after about 30 minutes of a cameo. He has really kicked on. Shows what love and support can do for confidence, and in turn productivity on the pitch!
  15. Amen Certainly an issue bigger than just one man’s decisions, the clubs budget or ambition. I can’t remember seeing so many key players out of contract across England, uk and European football.
  16. A quick look at our opposition tonight… You mean the team that are owned by someone trying to sue Derby for losing 50m+ for missing out on promotion? Why do you think Steve Gibson was so unhappy? Because Derby effectively cheated the rules. Look at them now. Also Boro have been overspending (past turnover) for over a decade. FFP is not a shield, an excuse or a way of defending any owner in the league. Its a set of rules all teams have to abide by. There are ways round the system - what about selling your training ground to your own owners? Sheffield Wednesday’s owner Chansiri, got caught out with dodgy mortgage values and fell foul of those rules. Will we get away with it? I hope so, because an embargo means no money at all spent; not just no million pounds signings, nobody on a free, nobody on loan. If there’s a problem with “fairness” it’s FFP and the way they’re enforced to make smaller teams to suffer and pay less wages. This is not excusing the damage the owners have done, and it’s certainly not forgiving them for sending our turnover south, but could a few of us bare in mind that not every single problem starts, an ends, with our owners.
  17. Comparing it to smack? Is that anything other than ridiculous? If we’re using our own experience- the advert we used when winning the league was for a product that’s far more difficult for me to kick.
  18. The difference between inhaling something burning, and something in vapour / evaporated is night and day. Whilst Id agree with anyone that the legality of nicotine is worth discussion - vaping is inherently safer. That’s a fact, not opinion.
  19. Ridiculous comparison
  20. Don’t get me wrong, I’d be made up if TC returned in his prime but I just can’t see how it’s possible
  21. How on earth could anyone expect us to sell someone with 4 months contract and get a key player of a rival, who’s contracted for another 2 years, and probably on more than our most expensive player… With a transfer fee too? Come on sparks, this isn’t realistic
  22. Only problem I have is that part in bold, as it’ll ultimately end up meaning people are addicted to nicotine without even ever smoking. Similar to the alcopops, but I guess this probably is hypocritical, as I enjoy the odd bitter lemon IPA
  23. Have you considered; Maybe it’s better for his remuneration?
  24. Maybe it’s just my interpretation but part of the reason why we’ve been far better this season is creating chances with less possession? Ie countering from chances forced through pressing? I agree with everything else you say, I just think it may be more suitable now to use him in one of the forward roles as sub, as opposed to that number 10/ F9 role
