  1. Good win today by England and both teams will be in with a shout in the WC. Super catching by England outfielders and a decent bowling effort. Stokes is saving his batting for the WC and for the convicts David is a superb hitter of the ball. Aus have a hell of a batting lineup if all firing and a better bowling set up than most.
  2. Oh no, having a Dad as an ex pro footballer is much simpler than the formula for getting a shag.
  3. George and David Hirst, Nigel Pearson, Remy Reijnierse. Connection: Sheffield Wednesday OH Leuven, managed by Pearson, and Leicester City. Connection: Pearson and both clubs owned by King Power. Hirst is not looking good and not a kid in footballing terms. I had look at his career path and influences on it. A dot joining exercise. What possessed Leicester to move him from Belgium only King Power can answer. If we pay any sort of fee for this 4th rate Ashley Ward then frankly, something is amiss.
  4. Pickering was ok too. The midfield was appalling, Adam excluded Spot on. That's what this shower are up to.blockquote widget
  5. I'm glad he got on, some class to enjoy if only for a short while
  6. Managing a psycho who only intention is to maim needs help from the whistleblower
  7. I haven't even got frozen yoghurt
  8. I see McClean is still peddling his wares, some Rover is in for a kicking. We have a very strong bench.
  9. That is what scroll was invented for. I use it daily and often on here
  10. Since we won at Wigan on 1st January 2007 we have played there a further 12 times without a single win, losing 10 with 2 draws 2 points from 12 games over a 15 year period with enough data there to make me think we don't do very well there, putting it politely, against a team who mostly have been below our standard of player. Imo, the main reason for this that Wigan have usually succeeded in bullying us with sides that contain a few outright animals and a team that kicks anything that moves. We are in for a tough night but we are way overdue a win and Rovers are certainly good enough IF they are up for what will be a fight, that is a certainty. This time around I do fancy us to come home with all the points. As an aside I cannot stand the Wigan football side, never have but I like the Town.
  11. The Birmingham myth gets repeated in the, otherwise very good, documentary although it is referred to as a 'rumour' but boos and tears are mentioned. Usual story, repeat a lie often enough etc etc
  12. It's in my top 2, beaten only by a disaster at Palace which was also a bloody awful performance by Rovers.
  13. JDT continues his surge up the Championship longest serving managers league table. Steve Bruce checks if his Barmy Army membership fees are up to date, books tickets for Australia and hosts the latest luncheon of the EFL Managers Destroy & Exit club. Dyche is too busy counting Dingle loot to give a feck about anything bar family and golf. The list of the Richly Unsuccessful grows by the week.
  14. Cute timing. I'm not saying it isn't. I am saying all teams have similar schedules, plus time off for the international breaks and WC
  15. Great result. We improved as the game progressed and Rotherham faded after their first half. Szmodics had a decent game as did most of the Rovers. Not a day to find major fault with any and Travis had his best performance for quite a while.
  16. Its painfully obvious how he got into football but I had wondered how Hirst bagged a move to Leicester from OH Leuven. Then it all became clear.
  17. I am beginning to think Dack will start.
  18. Indeed but it has been more or less proven that Hirst was managers choice to take any penalty taking into account those players onfield at that time. It wasn't a case of asking others.
  19. Today's squad selection will, imo, tell a lot about Dacks future at the club. In a fleeting appearance against Cardiff he scored a disallowed goal and came very close to another and he didn't miss a penalty. Dack said weeks ago that he was fully fit and the fittest he'd been in along time. Lack of any match fitness is down to those running the circus. If the club or JDT consider Hirst or Szmodics ahead of Dack as a general footballer or potential goal scorer then I fear for us. Personally my theory is that the club have told JDT they want his wage of the books asap so make his remaining time at Rovers as difficult as possible. There are plenty of fans who only follow the Party line so that will pass muster
  20. They are all hoping they get a Christmas gift of "Managers Bullshit 2023"
