  2. No I saw today's one TS, I meant the one where a ref has stood/gone against VAR. Interestingly, apparently today's one is literally listed in the rule book:
  3. I've missed that, was it an obvious one/easy to dismiss?
  4. Imagine if Wales get a penalty against us tomorrow for something like that. 😱😱 Wish a ref would stand up to VAR and walk away from screen saying no, that's clearly an accident and not an unnatural position. Have some bottle.
  5. Might be a bit harsh yeah. I get any big undefeated run at International level is an achievement. But the hype was big before this tournament (obv Messi factor), and I don't really rate the other South America teams. If you put the like of Spain and France in that pool, can't see them getting beaten often either.
  6. Perfectly placed shot out of nowhere. Fair play to him. Would like to see Mexico go for it here. Test Argentina.
  7. The hype was all around that 36 game unbeaten run. But barring 3 games against Brazil, 1 against Italy, the teams in that run you wouldn't expect to have a chance of winning.
  8. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Quite like that, good improvisation. The Welsh had forked out for Brazil tops. Was a sea of yellow in town that day.
  9. Well you're really not going to like how much fun I'm having laughing at Welsh sport at the moment then: Sat 19th- Rugby, beaten by Georgia Mon 21st- Football, draw with USA Fri 25th- Football, beaten by Iran. Sat 26th- Rugby, beaten by Australia A team after being 21 pts in front. Tues 29th - Football, England??? πŸ€” Things go to plan and this could be the worst 10 days in Welsh sport ever. And I'll be chuckling no end at it, if we can turn them over. Just as they would for us. (As evidenced by the videos they record and post.) Most people wouldn't expect it any other way, nowt wrong with a bit of healthy rivalry and ribbing. I was in Cardiff for Seaman's howler v Brazil in 2002. They carried on partying and drinking all day, celebrating a result from a World Cup they weren't in. Fair play to them, looked like they really enjoyed themselves. Not sure why you think it should be any different for us. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ
  10. Well done Grealish. That's the 4th or 5th time they've picked the ball up after a free kick is awarded and walked off with it. Why does the ref keep ignoring that? Infuriating.
  11. Harry Maguire saving us here. Time after time. Tells a story.
  12. Let's see how they are at playing it, but we can surely all agree they're truly awful at chanting about it: Like nails on a chalkboard.
  13. Ah, right, good point. Think I'm just so focused on getting points and winning group as my works Xmas party is 9th Dec and I'll be gutted if we have a QF that night.
  14. Qualify tonight and then let our B team send Wales home. If Heineken did.....

  16. Flying knee kick to the chin. 😲😲
  17. Iran probably should be leading. Think there might be a late goal for one of them here, probs going to be 8/9 mins added time.
  18. Iran and Wales making us look good at moment. Draw here and we can qualify tonight. 🀞
  19. Let's see how this pans out. I'm still a bit sceptical:
  20. Sorry Mike, not having it. I can't excuse them when they specifically said different in advance. The now FIFA Senior Adviser said in 2020: β€œWe will see a progressive change in all of those aspects and rainbow flags, t-shirts will all be welcome in the stadium β€” that’s a given. They understand very well that is our stance." And a World Cup Chief Executive said: β€œWhen it comes to the rainbow flags in the stadiums, FIFA have their own guidelines, they have their rules and regulations,” 2022 World Cup chief executive Nasser Al-Khater told the AP. β€œWhatever they may be, we will respect them.” When you bear in mind what they were talking about then was potentially a sea of flags and T-shirts in the crowds being allowed. And here we are now with one poxy little armband getting worn by one player (the captain) being aggressively stopped, it's oceans away from what was promised. I don't blame Qatar, as ever, I lay the responsibility firmly at the door of the abysmal organisation that FIFA is. https://egyptindependent.com/ap-exclusive-qatar-to-allow-rainbow-flags-at-2022-world-cup/
  21. So frustrating this Canada team in the final third. They're going to be kicking themselves if they end up with nothing from this game. It's paining me as a neutral.
  22. Yeah, tbf I've been more entertained than I was expecting. Actually ended up with a bonus day off Tues so watched SA's win. And now Japan are holding Germany. Let's see if Junior Hoilett can help Canada make a game of it tonight. Shaping up all right this WC. 😲😲😲 Japan now winning!
