  1. What is nagging away at me is whether TM's likeable, decent bloke stuff is merely being used as a front to reconcile us to the long term lack of Venky's ambition.
  2. I agree, but most critics have not been "slating" him, have they? There was reasonable concern about the offer of a new contract to a previously good player, who was obviously past it. The real issue was what this implied about where the club was going!
  3. As long as you don't confuse lack of class with facing up to facts!
  4. Not for me. His time was up-end of! Failure to sign improvements would do nothing whatsoever to undermine that conclusion. It would merely confirm the fact that we are seriously underperforming, as a club.
  5. Rovers died today or maybe yesterday. I don't know.
  6. I meant Travis kicking off. I had also assumed TM lost all trust/ found an excuse after one mistake at Portsmouth..
  7. Hope so...but most of us would have said we were "stable" under Bowyer...going nowhere, though. I have learned to look for the overall pattern, rather than get suckered by the rule of optimism and "start again" syndrome....( so there may be a spectre coming to the feast lol)
  8. A cursory look at our league positions since 2012 would seem to confirm that. Bobbing around in the bottom half,...with a few -all too brief- moments of optimism...maybe, even in the play off places... for a few hours.
  9. Quite. And just to add a bit more vinegar to the sponge in terms of how far we have fallen...most of our current side wouldn't make the struggling team from the previous season, that was heading for the drop until Jack's transfer deadline rescue package. Gennoe, Atkins, Moran, May and probably Sulley would keep their place, as would Sellars, Garner, Wilcox and probably Gayle..
  10. Really? I read an interview where Brad said he decided to leave after a message about the Walker Trusts's disinvestment. So Brad was just being diplomatic. I did know there was ill feeling between Brad and Ince at Liverpool, but I had no idea that Brad's departure was something else to be laid at the door of that arrogant prick, Paul Ince....
  11. Did he? I was always suspicious about the way he "disappeared" from the scene. Warnock's comments seemed to be used as cover,
  12. Yes, I thought he was TM's ripped jeans culprit too. Based on nothing more than a photo I saw...tatts and piercings too, as I recall...
  13. Re-read...almost disgusted lol..Is that help and understanding enough?
  14. Hahaha..Don't be the first to do it then!
  15. It goes on....and on...Wes Brown was witty (apparently). Craig can do a mean short back and sides! I am almost disgusted by it...
  16. It is unfortunate that so many of us did not know the extent of what was going on at the club at the time or the methods adopted to keep people quiet. Ironic as it sounds now, I had always relied on the LT and Radio Lancs!! I have nothing but respect for MCMC 1875 and I was present at one EWMC supporters' meeting, when one individual reported a very disturbing, threatening phone call to his home...The rest I have merely read about in Glenn Mullan's stuff and from posts on this very site. I have no evidence linking our owners to the threatening behaviour, referred to above. What I will say is that very bad things went on before, during and after the disastrous sale. Clearly, secrecy was a prerequisite to enable this bad behaviour to continue, uninterrupted. Threatening behaviour, along with bribery, helped maintain that secrecy. It was all on the owners' watch.
  17. I know Salgado disclosed a few things, but which other former player was helpful in disclosing information?
