  1. I wouldn`t be upset if Dunny came 'home'. I`d love to see a Rovers team full of local lads...who wouldn`t? ....but if i was Mr Hughes, i`d insist on a "prove yourself" contract. Not just throw buckets of cash at an injury prone player. Do a good job for us & earn yourself a payrise.
  2. Good to hear Gally is doing well! Hopefully we`ll see a new rejuvenated Gally back at Ewood sooner rather than later!
  3. I agree that shirt sales will go a long way towards the Keane deal paying for itself....maybe not entirely, but a big chunk of it. Alot of people around the world have Scottish/Irish links & they do tend to support one of the old firm.....or rather buy their merchandise. How many Celtic shirts do you see around Blackburn.....there`s a fair few of them. Footballwise.....this move should give Keane the extra 18months in the game he wants. He was a great player in his prime (i hate to say), but his prime is way behind him now & isn`t as effective in the EPL as he used to be. If he can stay away from injuries, he`ll do well in the SPL.
  4. ??? So how do you stay so athletic looking?? What`s your secret? Q...When do the Wigan tickets go on open sale...if there`s any left??
  5. I went in the shop when i bought my Everton/Westham tickets & they had scarves in then (quite a few) They were £5 each. Got to admit though, the shop is now a poor relation of what it once was. Looks more like the chavvy sports shops in town, full of cheap cr@p not even related to BRFC.
  6. Sorry my mistake. Just edited previous post
  7. ***UPDATE*** After 8 home games each, Rovers are trailing behind Wigan with their average attendances..... Rovers average attendance is 19905 Wigan`s average attendance is 20655 (behind by average of 750 Total attendances for both clubs are:- Rovers 159240 Wigan 165247 (6007 behind The next 3 home games for each club are :- ROVERS...Sunderland,Portsmouth & Bolton..(one big gate there....guarranteed) WIGAN...Charlton, Man City & ROVERS...(two big gates there....guarranteed)
  8. Vinjay. It looks like you started supporting the wrong club at the wrong time .You obviously jumped on the 'glory bandwagon' just as it was coming to a halt, but if you`re quick, you might just reach the Chelsea 'glory bandwagon' as it sets off down Glory Road......run! quick! run! My first introduction to BRFC was when they were in the 3rd division & they were cr@p. I`ve seen promotions, relegations (not too many) cup runs, trophies & catastrophies.(it makes me wonder what you`d be like during the 'play-off failure years'???) This is all part of being a Rovers fan, to be a Roverite, is to know how to suffer, know how to celebrate, know how to appreciate the good times....coz all in all, the bad times may just be around the corner. If you want success success success all the time, then you`ve picked the wrong club to support. People like you should go & support the Man U`s & Chelsea`s of the world........& leave the rest of us in peace. ......quick! run along & catch that Chelsea bandwagon!! HURRY!!!
  9. How about a "Pre-Walker Years" DVD for Vinjay?
  10. ***FOR HIRE*** 67000 seat stadium in Manchester area, available on Tuesday/Wednesday nights after christmas. Ideal for events such as pop concerts. Interested parties should call 0161 ### ### & ask for Malcolm
  11. The sad thing about all this, is that no-one seems to be talking the most important things.....FOOTBALL & the FANS. As ever, the only thing Man Utd seem to be concerned about is MONEY!!! ....& that typifies why i hate them.
  12. I just loved it last night! Hope all British clubs do well in champs league....except Utd!
  13. When i was a kid, Rovers were in the 3rd division, but they were my team. Another kid down the street always ran around in a Liverpool shirt, as they were the dominant force in football at the time. One day he came out in a full Aston Villa kit, they had just won the league & went on to win european stuff. The last time i saw him (a couple of years ago) he was a Man United fan. If you want to surround yourself with year-in year-out glory, may i suggest doing what the kid down the road did.
  14. Vinjay the only reason you seem to be getting 'ridiculed' is because hardly any other Rovers fans on this board agree with you. Your constant personal vendetta has gone far beyond boring.....it`s become pathetic. i`ve not once witnessed any grief aimed at you by BRISA as an organisation, but i have witnessed you p1ssing off a hell of a lot of Blackburn Rovers supporters with your constant 'stuck record' approach.
  15. Gav, i bet your arse is twitching at the moment!! we`ll pull it back
  16. Came away from Ewood feeling like i`d been mugged....but that`s twice now! (felt same way after newcastle game) The ref/linesman had a shocker & ruined the game as a spectacle. In Everton`s defence, Yobo played out of his skin & won almost every 50/50 ball in the air. Rovers should`ve been 2-0 up in the first 10mins, but if you don`t put away your chances............you`ll get punished. And we did. 22k was p1ss poor anole
  17. **UPDATE** Rovers average attendance is 19838 (after 7 home games) Wigans average attendance is 20655 (after 8 home games) (817 behind) Total attendances for both clubs are:- Rovers 138870 Wigan 165247 (26377 behind) Rovers next home league game is vs West ham (10th dec). Wigan`s is vs Charlton (17th dec)
  18. Twoz working nights. At brew-time i got told we were 2-0 down. A Man Utd 'supporting' workmate (never been to OT) had a little gloat when he heard.....so it was nice to hear of the amazing comeback the Rovers produced! COME ON YOU BLUES!!!
  19. looks like a rough ride for 'Shouey' in the next couple of weeks, with 2 home games (Villa then Arsenal) anything less than a win against Villa will have the geordie hordes screeming for blood. Newcastle are a poor team. Granted, they beat us 3-0 at our place but that was a fluke result.
  20. I`m confident of a Rovers win...maybe 2-0. Here`s to a good crowd!
  21. ...& good luck to you 'my friend'! I know one or two people who are session musicians, & judging the way you tend to look down on people (& slag them off) you`ll go a long way. Most 'muso`s' are like that. Q...what`s the difference between a rock star & a session musician? A...The rock stars get sh@gged.
  22. Should that not be "Has the dictionary changed, since i`ve been gone?" Maybe not
  23. now who could that be? Let`s hope that when you 'inevitably' become this 'rockstar', we all remember who you are, so we can remind the people of Glasgow (just before you play there) what you`ve said about them. You`d last about 20 seconds, Jimmy!
  24. Haven`t had time to read the last 10 pages of posts. I thought the game was a great advertisement for the premier league. Rovers battled & almost rattled the mighty Arsenal. We were beaten by 3 good goals.....2 of them were great pieces of individual skill. I`d rather have Thierry Henry in my side than Rooney. The guy is class.
  25. Then you should try harder Stu!
