  1. Yes but according to Souness we now have a great team spirit and probably Bolton had that last year and a bit of lady luck in some games but if we can have the same spirit and luck we may well end the season on a high. I've got great feelings about it! We now have a whole team to replace the first team, 2 staring elevens who seems to be good and with one or two extensions now when Cole, Yorke and Todd has left we may be a force this season.
  2. I believe both Jansen and Gally are better strikers.
  3. When I look at all the teams that finished 10th or down it looks like we have a better squad that all of them, just to compare with Bolton we have a much stronger squad: If we look at their players at their positions: Friedel -----> Jaskelainen (both are good international goalkeepers) Neill ------> Hunt (Neill is far more experienced than this guy) Amoruso -----> Ngotty (Amo is great on set pieces and a great marker) Matteo ------> Jaidi ) don't know about Jaidi, Matteo is class when fit?) Gray ------> Gardner (Gardner is faster but Gray is a better tackler) Emerton -----> Giannakopoulus (Emerton is a better crosser and player) Ferguson ----> Campo (Campo's old and Ferguson hungry for success) Thompson -----> Djorkaeff (Two trickery players well worth watching, but Djorkaeff is getting old) De Pedro ------> Okocha (two players whom like to challenge players and shoot) Stead ------> Davies (Stead's got more pace, better shot and is better in many aspects) Gallacher ----> Bridges or Ferdinand (Well you've all seen Gallys enthusiasm in the game and his pace and shooting skills, Ferdy is singing on his last swansong and Bridges is off the hill totally) When you look at the bench they look weak comparing to us so if they get injuries they'll face big problemas. What do you think?
  4. After these two games I hope we will lineup: Friedel Neill, Amoruso, Matteo, Gray Emerton, Thompson, Ferguson, De Pedro Gallacher, Stead Bench Gresko (looks lively down the left, can come in for De Pedro if he stalls) Jansen (fighting with Gally for a starting place) Tugay (can come in to the game with calm) Douglas (can settle in at any place) Enckelman (well you need a goalkeeper replacement) Others: Dickov (he'll be happy if he gets on the bench) Reid (may get a chance if injury) McEvely (if Gray gets injured) Flitcroft (dont really know) Johansson (if centrebacks gets injured so) Short (too old and slow now) Anyone agree??
  5. I think it will be the team and I think the subs may be: Gally, Jansen, Neill or Douglas, Thompson and Enckelman
  6. no trialist on pitch.....Gally scoring the opening goal from a Gresko knockback!
  7. Great Mr. Volpato scoring again or what??? SIGN Him noW!!
  8. Thanks for calling me an idiot.... So nice re rovers supporters.....well....I've supporting rovers since the 1992 season when rovers got up to the premier league....I was 11 years old... I love rovers and I just wanted to discuss the black player thing but now it's an end to it. I'll pull a plug on it.. Have I been mean?
  9. Please, just stop. Why do you keep putting two posts where one would suffice? I forgot to post it in the same window.
  10. In one of the English newspapers today, The Sunday People, after criticising Dwight Yorke, Souness was quoted as saying: "I only want to have hard-working players at the club now" It makes you wonder if Souness is implying that black players in general don't work hard.
  11. Hey all. Im sorry if I may have brought up this discussion but the dealings and personal affairs with both Cole and Yorke and then to set Yelldell futher down the pecking order as a 3rd goalkeeper and Reid's bad confidence in the game may affect us in not getting any coloured player to our team. Why isn't Jemal Johnson who is a regular scorer in the reserves in our first team? he scores more than Grabbi, Yorke or Jansen did in the reserves.. Where's Danns??? It's just a thought but what do you know? And why do you have to insult me? I love Blackburn Rovers and wish them all the best in the fortcoming season but you have to think a little bit.
  12. soon they'll be no black players at rovers.....is Souness a racist?
  13. We could had swapped Cole with Malbranque?
  14. maybe Dwight Yorke will join Cole at Fulham, who knows??
  15. well time to ship out dead wood Todd, Flitty and Yorke now... And buy some decent players....we urge your Mr.Souness to buy replacements... some young players with future!
  16. I can't believe we didn't got a fee for our profilic striker.... Grabbi, Cole and Yorke expensive buys and sold for nothing.... Terrible.....sorry Mr Souness but you have to get on with your players.
  17. Taken from Fulham FC official homepage Andy Cole signs for Fulham Football Club... Fulham Football Club has today announced the signing of former England International Striker Andy Cole from Blackburn on a two year deal for an undisclosed fee. The 32 year old striker has impeccable football credentials both at domestic and international levels. He began his career at Arsenal as a schoolboy graduating from the Lilleshall Centre of Excellence. After a brief spell with Fulham in 1991/92 he went on to play for Bristol City, Newcastle United and latterly Manchester United, where as a record signing he scored 121 goals in 231 appearances. Cole joined Blackburn Rovers in December 2001 and scored the winning goal in the 2002 Worthington Cup final against Tottenham Hotspur in Cardiff. He is a truly prolific striker and is the second highest goal scorer in Premiership history. Manager Chris Coleman commented: 'I am delighted to welcome Andy to Fulham, his experience and proven goal-scoring ability were key factors in my decision to add him to the squad. I know he will be one hundred percent committed every time he pulls on the Fulham shirt, and I am sure that his knowledge and understanding of the game will benefit the less experienced players around him.'
  18. friedel Neill, Matteo, Amoruso, Gray Thompson, Fergy, De Pedro Emerton Stead Trialist Subs: Dickov, Gally, Tugay, Enckelman, McEvely or Johansson
  19. I to was thinking along those lines but the fact that it is reported in the sunday people blows that idea out the water. If the SP says that it was this Volpato guy and the match reports say he's black then we still have some doubt, not sure which is more likely. Problem is that its bound to come out sooner or later, but there's no reason why this mb has to hasten the process and potentially bu**er-up a promising signing for the club. where does it say that it was a coloured player???
  20. Dickov can't be a replacement for Cole.....joke.
  21. Cole has to stay, he's class.....I hope he stay. If he'll leave I'm sure he'll be scoring alot of goals for Fulham and we will be ###### off...
  22. Factfile: VOLPATO REJ nato il 27/08/1986 a Dolo (VE) altezza: 186 cm peso: 79 kg and there's an picture on him to? (looks like a strong lad) http://www.padovacalcio.it/squadra.html
