  1. Austin with the assist I trust?
  2. What about your chum Maupay? Finally given up the ghost?
  3. Pleased I didn’t get over excited at the BA/CA talk - this window has ended exactly as I predicted it would. We never ever, ever, have a good end to the window.
  4. Probably bring in Grabbi mark II!
  5. As I say, it’s rank amateur. Compare us to say Bielsa’s Leeds and it’s bloody night and day (and yes I know we were promoted last season before anyone says anything). Cannot fathom a Championship side not having their scouts looking at European talent. We’re not the Dog & Duck!
  6. I thought we overhauled the scouting department in the summer so that we were operating full steam ahead? If we’re currently only scouting the UK&I then that’s ridiculous. Smacks of excuses to me.
  7. Forest are going for it aren’t they, as are a number of other teams around us.
  8. It’s going to take a number of things to fall into place for us to get someone today IMO. Saints getting at least 1 striker for Gally, Boro getting a striker and nobody else beating us to (probably) half of BA’s wages, no PL or Champ clubs coming in for CA. Just cannot see it as I haven’t for a few days.
  9. Boro will certainly need to shift a few off their wage bill if Bolasie comes in - he’s on mega bucks.
  10. He’s a winger though (who I would bloody love here).
  11. Not a chance TM would bring Joao back.
  12. Nope - predicted as much. Would love to be surprised tomorrow but don’t think I will be.
  13. Sounds like goodnight vienna to our transfer window!
  14. 'West Brom have made an approach to Newcastle to take Jacob Murphy on loan until the end of the season, according to Sky sources.' I know they'll likely be able to offer more wages but I'd like to think TM could have a word in his ear if he is available on loan.
  15. Not that I ever believe Nixon but I’ve predicted another duff deadline day all along. It’s Rovers remember.
  16. Physically he's fine but for me he lacks a yard of pace to be a true Premier League player.
  17. Villa really are a weird club. Obviously hellbent on promotion yet strengthen a rival with Hogan. Hope they feck it up again this year (looking likely).
  18. Yep - we love a dud deadline day.
  19. Think we’re also less likely to land Austin than BA. If another Prem team scrapping to stay in the league won’t take Charlie then the likes of Villa, Leeds, Stoke will be all over him - IMO.
  20. The determination to bring in a decent striker - be it BA, Gally, Austin or whoever - would point to a potential change of system you would imagine (should one come off). You certainly couldn’t see BA or Austin warming our bench, while Graham is now, rightly, a firm favourite of TM’s. Let’s see what tomorrow brings (I’m still not holding out much hope other than late night disappointment!).
  21. As I said the other day, when have we ever had a blinding end to a transfer window? You can see it now, we won’t get near a deal for BA and will have a Gally all lined up on deadline day only for Saints not to get a replacement in at the 11th hour.
  22. He cost 'em £15million quid - he won't be far off.
  23. It definitely seems as though Boro would be open to him leaving - even their local rag hinted at that. It's whether i) we have the necessary funds (wages the big issue IMO) and ii) whether he fancies it here.
  24. Rich Sharpe‏ @richsharpe89 #Rovers remain interested in Sam Gallagher (nothing new there, though). Not been a breakthrough as yet, and the possible dealings, both in and out, at Southampton will dictate what happens with him. He doesn't seem to be commenting on Assombalonga - as of yet.
