  1. Khadra aiming for the moon there. Literally.
  2. Can't believe how badly he's playing tonight. He hasn't been great any time I've seen him at LB in all honesty, but tonight he's making me wish that Bell was still around.
  3. Khada... for fuck's sake. Not happening tonight is it?
  4. Ref gives a free kick for a small shove on Buckley but not a blatant shove on Diaz. Clown.
  5. Should have had a pen there. BBD's reputation possibly preceding him again.
  6. It's amazing how disjointed we look, although I do think Nyambe and Travis' contributions are underrated by some. Travis may not have been at his best this season but we are seriously missing him in the centre tonight.
  7. Edun gives the ball away AGAIN. This lad is really struggling with simple passing.
  8. Khadra not looking on it so far at all.
  9. We really miss Nyambe driving down the right, as well as his defensive solidity. JRC is a major step down. Edun not looking great on the left either.
  10. Hughes is getting into Curbishley territory of being out of the game too long to be considered anymore. It's been, what, roughly three and a bit years now since he last managed?
  11. Fortunately most of the division is pretty poor so we just have to be less rubbish than the teams we come up against. Keeping clean sheets will go a long way to keeping our form going, regardless of overall performance.
  12. Awful performance and an awful referee, but the three points are all that matter when all is said and done. The type of match teams with real promotion aspirations find a way to win. It's always much easier to do when you can keep clean sheets, and shockingly we seem to be getting very adept at that. All eyes on Fulham and Bristol City.
  13. He was obviously ridiculously out of his depth in the position he was assigned here, but I never sensed any malice from Singh. Not in the same way you felt like from the likes of Kean, Agnew, Anderson, etc. He was a fool being paid a king's ransom for a job he had no business in, but he isn't somebody I think back on with any anger. Disbelief at some of his statements and frustration at how he embarrassed the club at times, but still far behind many, many others when it came to the club's destruction. Just a footnote in the grand scheme of things. Condolences to his family and friends.
  14. Typically in the past our confidence has been worryingly fragile, hence the see-sawing in form. I guess we'll see in the next league match whether that really has changed, or if we'd just been riding on an incredible wave of momentum that's starting to dissipate. With that said, if Kaminski is in goal we win today.
  15. They're just your typical attritional League 1 team, nothing much to see. We should have handled them easily, but Pears seems intent on handing the win to them no matter what.
  16. Tbf we have been poor today. Haven't turned up at all. Hope this isn't the sign of our momentum coming to a screeching halt and the beginning of a Mowbray death spiral.
  17. Wigan are effectively playing with an extra man with Pears in our nets now, whilst we're a man down - in goal no less. Pears is Jake Kean levels of bad. He needs to be released ASAP.
  18. Probably the worst bottom 4 in PL history at the half way point.
  19. Run out of steam after what has been an excellent series of results. Pitch condition and ref didn't help matters. If you can't win then just make sure you don't lose.
  20. And yet they stayed up by 11 points last season and are only two points off 17th this season despite having only won a single game so far!
  21. The sheer scale of people believing in conspiracy theories nowadays is frightening. There are a lot of people who no longer trust politicians, which is understandable, but it seems increasingly that scientists are being lumped into that same bracket. If you can't argue with somebody based on logic or evidence then you are truly at an impasse. I think a lot of it comes from modern society being a pretty bleak, soulless and unfulfilling construct with no obvious way to escape without going to extreme measures. I certainly understand it, but it's difficult to condone the way many go about promoting their views. Espousing increasingly meaningless conspiracy theories ("Q" started on 4chan, of all places) is not the way to enact genuine social change. Much deeper introspection required, and a lot less hate. Hah, reminds me of Chris-chan (an internet/YouTube meme from a long time ago). He was an unabashed homophobe and wrote a comic strip whereby his blood was used in a vaccine to turn people from gay to straight - because in his mind being gay was an illness. He became infuriated when it was pointed out that vaccines typically work by utilising examples of the illness, not the cure, so if his blood was a key ingredient then presumably it contained significant traces of the 'gay virus'. He later became a transgender-female identifying as a lesbian, so... yeah.
  22. Fulham fans must be looking at what's going on and thinking WTF? How did the team we beat 7-0 on their own patch end up level on points with us less than two months later? Keeping in mind we were 12th at the time and 12 points behind Fulham who were still 2nd. Much like BBD's sudden transformation, it's unfathomable how we've ended up in this position. Like somebody went into the in-game editor in Football Manager, ramped up BBD's stats before the season started and then did the same for Mowbray's stats after the 7-0.
  23. Don't break this team up in January, Rovers. The momentum we have is real - this is unquestionably the best chance we've had of returning to the top flight since we went down.
  24. Hah, that's BBD for you. That's league goal 20 I believe? Congrats to anyone who held their nerve and rode the bet out!
