Lancs police Twitter confirms PNE (and Leeds?) kick off times moved at clubs request. Lies from the club then? Thought we were past all that. No thought for those who work on Saturday mornings. No thought for those whose kids play football on Saturday mornings. We've had 20 years of full Darwen Ends at 3.00 or 7.45. Can't think of another club that does this. Family club my @rse. Caley out.

Many people have annual salary reviews effective from 1 April and, if they are lucky, extra disposable income. That's when season tickets should be on sale. Also the football season is still underway. If you leave it until June/July, people are saving their disposable income for summer holidays. Also the season is over and a lot of people have switched off football. I've come to the conclusion that Rovers will never be a major force under Venkys, with or without Mowbray, despite their wealth, because they are clueless about running a football club.

What a win in world cup year. Pity we can't play test cricket any more.

Steve Waggott has said (last Consultation Meeting or November meeting with Rovers Trust?) "We have done all we can on attendances". 82 pages on here say they haven't scratched the surface.

Surely, from the club's point of view, big Rovers numbers are easier to steward than big visitor numbers?

Surely no conflict if the club is not trying to increase attendances.

Don't forget the "Club Evidence Gatherer" employed by the club who used to film the Rovers fans in the Darwen End. Letters taped to seats threatening withdrawal of season tickets for persisitent standing when standing by visitors was/is ignored week after week, season after season. More akin to secret police than a stadium/safety management department.

CHOICE There's one cask ale pump I think - it might be the only one in use in the whole ground. There are/were hand pumps in every bar in the Riverside which haven't been used for years. PRICES The prices go up to fleece the fans. £3.80 for Fosters is not standard pub prices in East Lancs plus £1 entry or £50(?) per season membership for Blues Bar. FOOD The pies are ok. Can't comment on the rest of the menu. BANDS/ARTISTS A good move which other clubs adopted long ago. We used to be a pioneering club eg Radio Rovers, RoverVision. Nowadays we follow other clubs.
